In this vid, it was my beloved '91 Flying V straight into an Egnater Tweaker 112; a Hondo Death Dagger ('82-ish? it was a gag gift pawn shop prize from a friend, requiring hours of setup to be playable for this shoot) into an '80s 10W Peavy Audition Chorus turned wide open, but redirected into two 3-inch speakers in a cardboard box plugged into the headphone jack (i am not making this up), close-miked to sound huge; a pawn-shop Kasino bass, direct; stock Pearl Export 5-piece and entry-grade Zildjan XTs... Miked with an assortment of SM57s and SM58s into an M-Audio C-600, then into Ableton Live 8 for mixing and mastering. Video shot with a Flip HD, captured while recording keeper takes (which means i intentionally left mistakes if i couldn't find video of a better take), and edited in Final Cut Pro. Oh, and the halogen work lamp from my garage. For added authenticity, the denim jacket and Led Zeppelin t-shirt are my own from my first year of high school in '89. \m/
Anything with bacon has to be good. Together with loud and fast metal, it should win a medal. My only complaint is that I'm really hungry now....
*****, you said you wanted to see the metal guitar. Here you go. Also, Viktor Ivanov and Jonathan Clark may enjoy this.
