Hey guys thanks for all the compliments on m hair :) Its not anything different though lol it's a twist out, the same method i used in this video!: ua-cam.com/video/QhzpSyo4FlA/v-deo.html (i just put a ponytail on top)
Kaice you are speaking the truth... when I first went natural and decided to no longer chemically relax my hair I was always blowing out my hair and then use a straightener. Then I did the big chop and I just rocked the puff because my hair was short. As my hair started to grow back I was putting my hair in a low bun rather then embracing my short hair and rocking a wash and go. I'm 1yr natural and today for the first time I tried a wash and go... it didn't come out the way I was expecting but my mom said she thought my hair was beautiful. I just wanted to thank you for posting and for offering up the tips for us naturals.
Yesssssss I am so addicted to cutting my hair that I even watch youtubers cut their own hair 😩😩 i hate split dead ends i cant help it. So ironic bcuz when i was relaxed i hate cutting my hair I think mainly bcuz my hair didnt grow like how it grows now unprocessed.
I noticed that all the natural hair youtubers I've watched have been relaxed and had a transition to natural. I was even asked when I started my journey. I was always natural. Just didn't care enough to take care of my hair until now. Here begins the start of my actually taking care of my hair journey!
I haven't heard anybody talk about it before but I feel like over picking your hair can also mess up your hair. I didn't like my shrinkage and I would pick out my hair so much that it permanently messed up some of my hair like I know it did cuz my hair didn't look right till I got a cut and it started to grow and I keep thinking wow I should have just left my hair alone
GIRL!!! IM SOOOOOOOOO GLAD I Found this video under your mielle review page!! Literally EVERYTHING You said, I did. Especially When it came to spending hella money on hair products thinking my hair was going to turn out how it did on someone else's head. I'm going on almost 5+ years myself and when I say I STILL struggle with embracing my shrinkage.... My hair has definitely grown and thicken, and I only use heat on my hair once a month. Thanks for sharing these tips!! I will for sure listen! I LOVE YOUR HAIR BTW!!
The time will fly by. Be patient. After about 9 or 10 months i got the hang of my hair and since then time had flown.. I've had 1 mini big chop and 2 trims to keep my hair at shoulder length.
I was transitioning once but the process had me frustrated until one day I just cut it off. Man I was fed up with the two different hair textures lol It's ok tho cus it made me sky rocket into the natural hair journey instead of being scared to move on 🙏🏿
Good video with good tips. I like that you don't use profanity in your videos. Some of the younger youtubers forget that there are a variety of ages watching these videos and some of us don't want to hear cursing or "hip hop" music in the background.
I am adoring your curls!! Btw I tried your technique on laying down my edges, and they held up better but still reverted. I'm gonna keep playing around with other products to see if I come up with my secret sauce combo but the technique did help!!
Hi Kaice, I struggle with your first not to dos which is compare my hair to other naturals ESPECIALLY your hair. You are one of the main reason why I decided to go natural in the hopes of my curl pattern will be like your. Reality sunk in and I have 4c kinky coils which I have embraced. Thank you for allllllllll your tips/advice/suggestions/recommendations etc....... Now my hair is just as awesome as your. 😉
MsShaye H she answered your question in the video. It's hella unnecessary 😂. You don't need to wash your hair more than once a week, if not once every two weeks imo. Imo it's better and less of a hassle to Find ways to keep your hair moisturized without having to constantly wash, deep condition and moisturize. Plus too much deep conditioning can damage your hair as well. Too much of anything is counterproductive. The less you do to your hair, the better
what in unnecessary for some might be very necessary for other. not all women hair needs are the same. at some point we got to stop expecting what is bad for our own hair to be bad for other women hair to
One mistake I made was not preserving my wash n gos. I would try to just put a bonnet on it but it still ended up damp and matted the next morning. I started stretching my hair in sections with hair ties over night and THEN putting on a bonnet. Works like a charm
You are so beautiful and so well spoken!! I had to rewind the video because I realized I hadn’t heard anything you said! I was distracted by your hair, face and teeth! Lol #ADD
Mine was putting my hair in cornrows as a protective style & gurrrl! My hair used to shed so much in the past & I never knew why?! I was literally sooo fucking gentle and proper! Never did much to my hair that would harm it. Literally just kept it in cornrows and wash n go's. I always moisturized and all that holy grail shit but my hair gave no fucks. Literally shed like the back of a 🐐. & then I was like, sis, backtrack, what you keep doing that every time you do you see more shedding than normal? Fucking cornrows!!!!! I stopped for a couple of months and lawd! My hair basically sheds like, a piece of hair in a week & it's never looked fuller! I just keep it on twists & all that stuff. Nothing rough.
Were the cornrows too tight? The same thing happend in to me in Jamaica when a lady cornrowed my hair VERY tight. My hair fell out in chunks after I took the cornrows out!😨
I too had maaaaany mistakes,my hair grows very fast buuuut,I never used to deep condition my hair, never used to moisturize regularly,I used sulphate shampoos,I never used to cover my hair with a silky or satin bonet,i regularly used heat, sooooo,I never retained length....but now am seeing so much improvement.
So how did you fix your dryness. I'm transitioning right now and my curls are there they are just dry and stiff, you have any advice on how I can fix this.
Well at the time it was just scab hair (the hair that initially grows when you first go natural that is still damaged from your scalp still trying to repair itself) so eventually when the scab hair was gone i was able to moisturize it effectively
Hi I'm a new natural,I have a few questions.1)-Is a masque the same as a deep conditioner? 2)If you use a hair masque,do you still use a deep conditioner? 3)How often should a hair masque be used?Thank you😊
you might not need it. if your hair is doing good with deep conditioning and moisturizing you hair when needed than don't add anything else. keep it simply as possibly
I saw you at my job with your boyfriend (glory days) I wanted to say hi but I was really shy and plus it was busy you’re even more pretty in person!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Kaice Alea I know 😭😭 I missed a once in a lifetime opportunity lol you’re welcome ❤️❤️❤️ I held the door open for you two when you were leaving and should’ve said something 😂
Deep condition is actually good for your hair. Personally I deep condition every two weeks. I pause when you said that you deep condition every two to three days a week. That's too much of washing your hair.
I just realized my biggest mistake and why I’m still barely at shoulder length after three years after my 4th bc is every time I wash my hair which was only 2-3 times a month was I would always dc with a protein conditioner. And never used a moisturizing dc. I have high porosity hair so I thought I only needed the protein😢 no not so👎🏽 I started this week as a matter of fact dc’g with the moisturizing conditioner and will use the protein dc only once a month. And will wash and dc every week!
Hi my name is Yolanda I enjoyed your video very very much thank you so much for all that information you have a beautiful personality and beautiful teeth can you do a video on how you did the shingle on your hair I've tried it but I think I'm not doing it right so I would really appreciate if you could do a video on that please I look forward to your great journey I wish you the best and can you tell me where you purchased those black plastic containers behind you to your right thank you so much
hey I have a hair problem and I need advice ok so whenever im natural and whenever I take my hair down from braids and they to do a wash and go my curls NEVERRR come dome peaces will be curled and but the rest will just be a fro 😩😩i really wanna be able to wear my natural hair out but I can't it looks a mess any suggestions ???
What process do you use with the clay? I used acv because everybody says it's better. But when I finally mixed my clay with water my curls loved it! I followed with Aussie Moist Conditioner. Love love love clay washes now. You might have to try a different method than what everyone suggests.
Am I the only one who is not even interested in using heat? Like I can live without heat. In all my life I've only used heat twice because it was just for fun (honestly I didn't know what I was doing) but that time I was relaxed, I'm transitioning now and my hair is always in braids so there is never any need for heat.
I cut my hair two times, first to cut the perm and damaged hair then the second time I couldn't see much of a curl pattern but saw my hair was wavy near like the roots of my hair and so I cut it. Now my hair is very curly throughout my whole head and Im just waiting for-it to grow. I first cut my hair in oct of 2016 and my second time I cut it sep 2016 so my length was a cute length before I cut it the second time. It was to my ear when I measured my hair to where my hair would stop to. I always wore my hair in a puffy afro. Im trying to get my hair to grow to my shoulders so I can wear a cute bob. I decided I wont cut my hair again and think if I grow my hair out for 3 yrs it will be at my shoulders. Any advice on hair growth?
Hey guys thanks for all the compliments on m hair :) Its not anything different though lol it's a twist out, the same method i used in this video!: ua-cam.com/video/QhzpSyo4FlA/v-deo.html
(i just put a ponytail on top)
Hello I'm one of ur new followers and I wondering if u can tell me how to get thicker hair plz and thank u.😜😃
Hey, do you still do this? I wish other UA-camrs could do this
I'm just like 😩😍😍
Kaice you are speaking the truth... when I first went natural and decided to no longer chemically relax my hair I was always blowing out my hair and then use a straightener. Your curls look super curly and pretty in this video 😍
YayYaysCorner iI
One of my biggest natural hair mistakes is not wearing a scarf at night. The breakage was really real
Kamri Hayward-Thomas what if you use a satin bonnet?
my scarf always dalls off during the night
Yesssssss I am so addicted to cutting my hair that I even watch youtubers cut their own hair 😩😩 i hate split dead ends i cant help it. So ironic bcuz when i was relaxed i hate cutting my hair I think mainly bcuz my hair didnt grow like how it grows now unprocessed.
I have that bad too I have to literally tell myself stop because I will start cutting in a minute.

Omg when she started off by saying she compared her hair to other youtubers she struck a nerve o do that a lot too!!
I noticed that all the natural hair youtubers I've watched have been relaxed and had a transition to natural. I was even asked when I started my journey. I was always natural. Your hair looks so good girl! The pattern & shine is just everything 😍
GIRL!!! IM SOOOOOOOOO GLAD I Found this video under your mielle review page!! Literally EVERYTHING You said, I did. Yaasssssss for Black Girls Break Bread! I just recently learned about it!!! Love from Chicago! 🤗🤗💜💜💜💜💜
I'm transitioning, and I honestly just want to have natural hair already but without the big chop 😩
The time will fly by. Be patient. After about 9 or 10 months i got the hang of my hair and since then time had flown.. I've had 1 mini big chop and 2 trims to keep my hair at shoulder length.
I transition but on the way I realized that it grows faster when you big chop
Trust me, after you big chop, a few months later the progress is amazing. Take your time and dont rush it. its scary to big chop
I was transitioning once but the process had me frustrated until one day I just cut it off. Man I was fed up with the two different hair textures lol It's ok tho cus it made me sky rocket into the natural hair journey instead of being scared to move on 🙏🏿
girl your hair looks BOMB them edges is laid to the gods
Good video with good tips. I like that you don't use profanity in your videos. Some of the younger youtubers forget that there are a variety of ages watching these videos and some of us don't want to hear cursing or "hip hop" music in the background.

First of all you’re gorgeous, second of all your hair looks amazing. Thank you for the tips 💕
Your hair looks amazing!! 😍😍 Great video too!!
Love your paying it forward! Literally💎
I love that you mentioned the brushes and combs. I found that using them causes too much tension on my hair.
I am adoring your curls!! Btw I tried your technique on laying down my edges, and they held up better but still reverted. I'm gonna keep playing around with other products to see if I come up with my secret sauce combo but the technique did help!!
Gurl what did you use on your hair it looks bomb

Hi Kaice, I struggle with your first not to dos which is compare my hair to other naturals ESPECIALLY your hair. Now my hair is just as awesome as your. 😉
I love your hair so much!! Congrats on 90k, you deserve it💕
We both have the same natural hair mark! 5 years in February as well ☺️
I had to pause when you said you deep conditioned two to three times a week. Hopefully no one else is doing that.
Mariela Que Whats wrong with doing this?
MsShaye H she answered your question in the video. It's hella unnecessary 😂. You don't need to wash your hair more than once a week, if not once every two weeks imo. Ava S. I asked YOU thou! But its necessary because I asked. You're not everyone's hair.
i think she meant the deep conditioning is unnecessary
what in unnecessary for some might be very necessary for other. not all women hair needs are the same. at some point we got to stop expecting what is bad for our own hair to be bad for other women hair to
She did a twist out for those of you asking...it's in her description box with a link 😀
One mistake I made was not preserving my wash n gos. I would try to just put a bonnet on it but it still ended up damp and matted the next morning. I started stretching my hair in sections with hair ties over night and THEN putting on a bonnet. Works like a charm
The only UA-camr I look up to❤️💯👌🏽
Whoooaaa, February is going to hit my 5 year mark as well!! 🙌 we made it!

Theonewiththe Dreams probably while doing the cornrows you pulled your hair too much i guess

I don’t use tool on my hair either.
Great job - I’ve made some of the same mistakes.
Thank you for sharing 🌺
So how did you fix your dryness. I'm transitioning right now and my curls are there they are just dry and stiff, you have any advice on how I can fix this.
Well at the time it was just scab hair (the hair that initially grows when you first go natural that is still damaged from your scalp still trying to repair itself) so eventually when the scab hair was gone i was able to moisturize it effectively
Do the LOC or LCO method before you do your curls or styling,to keep the hair moisturize locked
fav youtuber❤❤❤❤
Whenever I wash my hair, I don't like using heat to dry my hair. I just do twist-outs and let it dry overnight.

Hi I'm a new natural,I have a few questions.1)-Is a masque the same as a deep conditioner? 2)If you use a hair masque,do you still use a deep conditioner? 3)How often should a hair masque be used?Thank you😊
Felicia Michelle they are the same. Use one or the other at a time, not both. Once a week or once every two weeks is good.
Rochelle Bronner thank you for your reply,I appreciate that. Glad I know now😘
you might not need it. if your hair is doing good with deep conditioning and moisturizing you hair when needed than don't add anything else. keep it simply as possibly

jeleah swan u need to keep it mosturize deep condition and dont put to me pentration on it let it breath.
Indian healing clay + Acv.
100,000,000 views I use that but it really dry my hair out and doesn't give me curl
What process do you use with the clay? I used acv because everybody says it's better. But when I finally mixed my clay with water my curls loved it! I followed with Aussie Moist Conditioner. Love love love clay washes now. You might have to try a different method than what everyone suggests.
