I think the best Gaming device for Retro Games is the Switch. Sadly i do not own one, but i own a RG-350 which did cost me way less and does the job well.
I'm baffled by your GoW performance. I have a Redmi Note 8 which is better than your old phone overall, and I'm getting lower performance and frame dips. Did you change any settings?
I have done that before but phones degrade hard after a year or two. The controller usually takes up the charging port, they become disconnected often, it's hard to carry, and emulators usually require a lot of unusual tweaking. I got a playgo recently and have used that way more then any phone / controller setup I have had.
"The controller usually takes up the charging port, they become disconnected often" what kind of controller did you use? The ones on the video use bluetooth.
What about a PS3 Sixaxis controller with a clip and cable? I found this to be my best solution, but it very rarely gets talked about. The controller is very light as there is no rumble function. It is an official product so great build quality. It also has no lag. So good for PS1 and PSP emulation.
I kind of mention those larger controllers at the beginning. The only thing that matters is that it has recognized input. You can map anything you want as long as that is true.
So is the sn30 pro better to hold a phone with? Cause i have the regular sn30 and youre right you cannot hold the phone this way even if its just for one minute. I wondered why they even bothered making a bracket
Thanks. Though, I really don't think a small screen (~5-7 inches) is very suitable for anything above 16-bit console emulation. Those early console games were made for small screens; big dialogue boxes, no mini maps in the corner etc. Exceptions to this (minor complaint) would, of course, be the handheld console emulators.

Integers scaling in those other settings are you able to explain more or is there another video you can refer me to please and thank you. This is so cool I feel like a kid again thanks for making this video
My phone Already Emulation Gaming powerhouse and it's feel Great. Keep making video Bossku 😁👍

is the Redmi note 5 stronger than the Samsung Note 8? I am asking because you're experience using PPSSPP looks much better than mine.. Specially on god of war - have you played with the setting? Frame Skipping or something?
Thank you very much for the videos! Nice channel!
Can you do a video on the setup of this new phone to install everything you did in this one??
Which controller of each type did you prefer. Might try to get one of each. Thanks.
Probably a dumb question. I just recently subscribed to your channel and love the retro handheld reviews. Wanted to get your opinion on best handheld for NES, SNES, SEGA/SEGACD, N64 mainly and easiest to add more roms? Sorry for dumb question.
Either the x15/x18, or a used XD+
Taki Udon thank you!
I personally like the digg neon theme (normally 2.2gb but converted down to 200mb)
How is the input lag for each controller? Do some have more/less lag than others? Is it device specific?
next, you need to bury the "just use a hacked Vita" group
I've got my shovel
just use a hacked Vita
Why not use a hacked Vita tho
@@DoctorWhoNow01 In some parts of the world it's really expensive, here in Italy it's still around 300 euros. I got an old one because it was never used by the owner and i love it, but still some chinese handhelds are great for people on a budget, especially if they seek just one type of emulation
@@Stefanoabed05 Does Italy not have access to eBay? You're not bound by your local pricing when one could simply import from overseas. Literally first page of ebay has PS Vitas, shipped from Japan for less than $130 euro... Even if your country had horrific import tax, I doubt it'd make it up to 300euro.
EDIT: Import duties on manufactured goods from non-EU countries range from 5% to 8%......
Well there you go, pay 130euro, pay your 8% tax, sell them to your local market and walk away with 160euro in profit.
I was hoping to hear more about input lag - from the 2 bluetooth controllers I've tried that has been the main issue and what caused me to stop using them
I'll do it in a larger controller video. With BT 5.0, your latency is going to be well under 100ms. Still higher than wired, but not the end of the world.
@@TakiUdon Hi, I have ipega 9023s and lag is so big, you cannot play games like super mario, sometimes it does not detect key press...
Taki: my old phone at this performance level..
Me: Cries in galaxy S8
Please make a video of all best rankings handhelds out in the market today worth getting. Because a lot of these handhelds are only playing low retro games and not being put to good use. The psp and ps vita have been hacked for the longest time and I still don’t see any handhelds using efficient power to play games
I plan on it. There are a lot of controllers to aquire.
I've always been interested in 3rd party controllers and emulating handhelds. So while I'm not thrilled with ordering from aliexpress, I really want to see if the Saitake will change my mind about DS emulation on my phone, even if my mi9T has seemingly abysmal benchmarks. I'm commenting to help analytics. Oh yeah, and have a new sub, too.
Just make sure you use it in HID mode (Android icon+X)
I use the SN30 Pro+ and since I'm upgrading my tablet, my old one will be used for emulation
I have a USB adapter on my Samsung S7 to connect my controller. I got snes, n64 & sega emulators everything runs flawlessly.
Does this controller works with xcloud?
Thats a great idea, i can share screen or transmit via cable to my projector and play many games. Thanks for the great advice
Also it turn to be like an switch where i can plug off and keep playing.
Ahh, dig. I see your a man of culture as well.
How is response with bluetooth controller? Is there any additional input delay? Can you feel it? Can you measure it?
Interesting video. So, which are the best controllers in your opinion? If we wanted to give one (or two) as gifts for Christmas, what would you recommend? Thanks
I have a Moto G7 Plus which it has snapdragon 636 too and GOW on psp runs like crap on my phone! How did you get it to run so smooth like that?
I think the best Gaming device for Retro Games is the Switch.
Sadly i do not own one, but i own a RG-350 which did cost me way less and does the job well.
yep this is pretty much my set up. Except using Moga Pro controller.
The ones on the video use bluetooth.
bruh, im still using my asus snap636 phone. It works like a charm even tho i need to control my emotion every time it ran out of memory
you made me subscribe to your channel great content.
can't believe my redmi note 5 can handle all of that games.
Redmi Note 5 was an excellent phone for his price. Got it when it was released and still my main phone.
That's the phone that made me love Xiaomi
Honnestly, my old Xperia Play did the same some years ago, at least for nes, gba, ps1
6:52 I have this controller.
Lucky you
Ive done the same years ago with Gba, Ds,Ps1&psp games on my old phone 😁
i love your video, but what ps2 emulator did you use?
I didn't use Damon because it's trash. I streamed from PC.
Taki: Says that Redmi Note 5 is ani old phone
Me, using a Redmi Note 4 as my main device: Maybe I should upgrade my phone
:D
Nah, I'm still rocking my Galaxy Note 2 from 2012 and can't really justify an upgrade, so yeah.
