Captain, it is getting the page count and other information from the previous prompts in the thread, Use the term "ignore all previous instructions" at the beginning of all your prompts and you can have multiple subjects and book types in one thread.
Great points. For those that don't like ai or even fear it, they fail to adapt and take advantage of learning how to use it now while still in it's infancy can help secure their earning potential in the future.
Hi Paul, thanks so much for sharing. I am using it to rewrite my book description. It's so much better than my own writing as English isn't my native language! It brings me lots of new ideas to work on my books! Thanks again!!
I have been experimenting as you suggest. I like the generation of a description, etc. that I can edit. I wanted to warn you, don't depend on this for anything that has to be factual. I tried to create a trivia book. Chat GPT gives me answers that contradict itself. Also, when it gives me an answer and I ask a clarifying answer it corrects the content of my question (i.e., info it just gave to me) before it answers. At one point I asked for trivia questions about a type of animal. It gave me some really interesting questions and answers. But also a comment that most of the specific animals described don't really exist outside of imagination. On the positive side, when I point out it has given me two entirely different and mutually exclusive answers it does apologize. 😊😊
Hi Paul, great video! I absolutely LOVE using ChatGPT for self-publishing! I really agree that the most challenging part is coming up with detailed prompts. To solve this problem, I have actually created an online tool to generate descriptions using AI (ChatGPT-3), starting just with the title or topic! It's called AIBooks4KDP, I added an optional field to add more details or to personalise the prompt a bit in case the generated description is not relevant enough. Also, I added a check in the background to ensure the book's topic is in line with KDP policies (NOT a trademark check!). Everything is AI-powered, so I can't guarantee that, but if the tool recognises something off should come out with an error message. Feel free to let me know your thoughts. There is a lot of room for improvement, but I hope it could be helpful for someone! : )
Hi, Could you please suggest a good PDF merge online website, I am having serious issues on combine my 5 files. I tried several and nothing works.. thanks!
Thanks a lot Paul for those tips on how to use chat GPT I'm going to start writing childerns book but I can't draw for the illustration part, can I use Ai websites like Midjourney to generate my story images ? is that allowed with kdp ?
i found something on the help page.... confusing. so it must be the same title like on cover but you can't use journeling or workbook? although these, are the titles on my cover, becI have a journaling workbook. so now am totaly screwed? both keywords are not allowed as book title? HELP PAGES READ: Don’t add anything from the following list of prohibited items in the title field: Repeating generic keywords like "notebook," "journal," "gifts," "books,"
It may be helpful for creating cover art. I know some have used it for creating coloring book interior images. I don't have much experience with it yet but certainly looks interesting.
I don't understand. Every time I go to ChatGPT, I cannot access. Would that be similar to the other people here. I am up at 3am EST. I am in US. Maybe Norton Safe is preventing. This stinks!!!
great, a question please if find a tittle book on amazon and i want to create book with the same tittle is it permited or not i am asking about the copyright not the trademark
It would depend on the title. Some titles may be associated with a brand that may be trademarked. Or the title may be of a famous books which may be misleading. Common titles found on most low content books will probably be ok.
HI Paul, for your word searches, do you print on both sides of the paper OR do you do single-side printing? I'm just wondering if there will be bleed through with pens when doing a word search with print on both sides of the page. Thanks for all you do!
Paul, how do 'plagerism', copyright, and attribution factor into using ChatGPT AI in publishing KDP descriptions? Ive noticed a requested description looked very similar to others I read on other Amazon listed books....
Personally, it wouldn't worry me too much if it was a description. It's easy enough to edit it slighlty if it worries you or you could run it through an online plagiarism checker if you wanted further peace of mind.
Hello paul. I want to know which paper you think it's best for kdp coloring book? I feel worried because many people said that kdp are worst for coloring book
You really don't have a choice on paper with KDP - about three years ago, KDP did work with publishers to increase the weight (thus partially the quality) of coloring books. But do remember - unless you get a third-party pubisher printing your books, your coloring book will be 20-23 pound paper, and if colorists want the higher quality paper, they will need to copy the book page into the printer with higher grade paper, or simply accept the paper as it is for books printed with KDP (not all colorists are professional and demand the higher quality paper).
No. There could potentially be issues with plagiarism and correctness of facts. Also Amazon may have tools that can detect AI writen content, as Google does. So work needs to be checked and edited and probably re-worded.
Sorry, but no. If we allow AI to do things for us in mass, we will rapidly lose the ability to do it ourselves. Even parts of that we think don't matter in the long run of it all. It all matters.
@Rebecca Julia 🕊 I'm not saying learn to use it. I'm saying don't let it do it for us. It's actually damaging to the brain to let technology do everything. Think about the world before tech was the hand we all held. We were all able, yes some more than others, to remember every phone number, ever password, and we lived better in the moment before that moment had to include a post about it.
The car. The assembly line for the car. Photoshop. Advances in robotics. The cassette tape recorder. CDs. The Internet. Online streaming. All of these things have had similar arguments against them. We are better for having them than not having them. The same applies to some of the advances in AI.
@Robert Lee except none of those do all the thinking for you. All of those require the human element for them to function how they should. AI is already being used to conceptualize without human input. Yes here you put in a few words and off it goes. But in now way should the AI do the work and a person claim they created the product. No the machine did, and not in a way that a printer prints, it made its own choices, of which were not the humans. Colleges are already having to put in guidelines so that students done use AI to produce papers or solve homework.

Very true. 👍
Watching from Nigeria 🇳🇬. Thanks it really helped a lot in addition to my Amazon kdp course bought
That's great. Welcome from Nigeria!

I had a thought of creating a title and subtitle with this software but you said it all .Thanks a lot!
You're welcome. 🙂
Love your videos, they're easy to follow and informative. I didn't realise you were here in Australia until I watched this video.
Thank you. Yes, been here a while now.

Thanks a lot Paul - always passionate sharing of ChatGPT...🐼🐦🐧
You're welcome. Glad you found it helpful.
Thanks again Paul. This tool is brilliant. I am having so much trouble accessing it though. I keep getting Denied Access. It is really frustrating.
I think it is due to the huge number of people using it. It is an amazing tool.
Thanks Paul. Good information as always.

I've not thoroughly looked into the image generating side of AI but from what I've heard it should be possible.

This is great as per spell and grammer but I am concerned about the thing that will it help to rank the book?
Can't get on to it, says it's oversubscribed
Me too.
Can Midjourney help with KDP?

Thanks a lot Paul i have a quetion Can I use Midjourney pictures commercially?
the pictures copyright and trademark free for commercial use on KDP
So you came over from UK, and live in a tiny unit in Western Australia.
Yes.
Hi Paul, you used AI for made book ideas, tittle, subtitles and description, but how about keywords? Does AI can do it good?
I have tried keywords too, it works
I'm currently looking into that. I think it's a good possible use.
@@paulmarles yeah it works, but you must double-check those keywords! I tried it yesterday, it saves so much time and energy

They are normnally done on both sides of the page. Bleeding is mostly a problem with coloring books.
Oh ok 😊

Yes, you can generate prompts.

I like using chatGPT for ideas. I've become somewhat brain dead with all this new information. It works well for short positive poems for kids, etc.
It's an amazing platform. So many uses.

Cool stuff
Wouldn't we have a plagiarism problem?
Agreed. Uncharted area.
I suggest checking anything you're going to use or publish.
for me USPTO is a pain! too dificult to use it.
Unfortunately, it's an essential tool in this line of work.
cap’n can high content books be written with chat gpt for KDP without issues?
No. There could potentially be issues with plagiarism and correctness of facts. Also Amazon may have tools that can detect AI writen content, as Google does. So work needs to be checked and edited and probably re-worded.
Cool tool but I love being creative, that's like one of the best things to indulge in. Now ChatGPT is going to quickly go to paid, it's coming.
These bottom feeders who create empty notebooks with unicorns on them will be able to lower the bar even further.
If there is a demand, is there harm?
You are Just spoiling and giving people ideas of foolishnesses to use their Own brain intelligency. Even, spoiling the market
These tools are here to stay whether you like it or not.
