McCain could not leave this earth knowing if he had voted "yes", millions of Americans would be without medical insurance, Party Affiliation or not. This day be became the greatest American hero.
John McCain would have been a good president also to be honest
Such a shame he fell sick. He should have been the nominee in 2016.
I feel like if he ran against anyone else rather than Obama, he would’ve won, and I would’ve been okay with that.
@@reubenroberts1995 he could have taken on Obama as well (chances are low ofc) 2008 election was, anyway, in favour of Democrats as people gave low approval to Bush's administration
mccain was an honorable man but he also would have been a war hawk as well. That being said he is still the best rep. i can think of so far.
@@bradttu15 sometimes, you need a war. Sometimes, you need to ramp it down , and seek peace. All depends.
Respecting state government means that he should have left this to the states. The feds can’t do it.
I know that Obamacare had a lot of issues. But McCain was a real patriot by not deleting the heath insurance of many Americans without having a proper (and better) replacement first
RIP John McCain, a man who never compromised his morals. He was a good man till the end.
Missing true patriots today
I wonder how many lives were saved by that single thumbs down
who's here in 2020 laughing that trump didn't get it done? bye bye orange disaster.

Even though I disagree with some of his views I would not have been upset with a McCain presidency.
makes you nostalgic for McCain Obama in 2008 (forgetting about sarah palin obvs). now look where we are :-/
Your first issue is it's called American conservative. Secondly show some respect the man was tortured for 5 years.
I probably would’ve been if I had not seen what a Trump presidency looks like. Now McCain looks like a saint.
@Motersickle Bum You support Trump, you don’t care about lies.
For me, McCain was one of the last bit of integrity that the Republican party had. Now that he is gone, there are so few left. I loved John McCain. He was the type of Republican that made me proud to have that R on my voter card. It's not there anymore. The Republican party is an embarrassment.
even during his race with obama, he wouldnt throw insults when asked to. he was a great man and model politician. RIP
“He’s not a war hero,” said Trump. “He was a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured.” McCain voted NO, now that's sticking it to him!! Forever a hero, yes McCain YES!
I'm not even an American, let alone supporter of republican or democrat. But i got tears on my eyes to see a politician with such integrity in that 1 video captured the moment when he said his political opponent "is a decent man", while THEY were COMPETING. I hope his legacy will keep living in many American hearts for many many years. RIP
We either die a hero or live long enough to see ourselves become the villain. There is no doubt in my mind that John McCain died the ultimate hero.
McCain was a warmonger and traitor who made secret deals with Al Qaeda and ISIS leaders. There are photos of the meetings look it up.
@@freestyla85 He was a POW for five and a half years...
Not sure how that warmongering works, but at least his IQ level is higher than yours
@@Big-Grizz So because he was a POW means he unequivocally wasn't a warmonger? I didn't know the two were inseparable. Yea the fail logic is strong with you.
@@freestyla85 You have provided no supporting evidence to prove your illiterate theory except telling me to search for photos of his meetings making "secret deals" with ISIS and Al Qaeda, but all I found was a person by the of name freestyla85 who is a unhealthy skeptic.
It's unbearably naïve to think John McCain is a traitor to the country all because he decided to choose country over party instead of party over country.
The moment McCain entered trumps loser list. McCain did something great that day
Trump lose arizona which is a way for him to say you are fired.
Trump can add himself in that loser list
Thank you John McCain. You’re the reason my family still has healthcare and isn’t bankrupt. You indirectly saved my life when I was hospitalized last year.
Same here back at that time. I truly can't thank him enough.
“Why did you vote no?”
“Because I felt it was the right vote.”
American hero, Arizona is proud and we will not tolerate Trump’s disrespect. McCain is better than most politicians, no games, by the people for the people.
He wasn’t better than Obama, but he was better than every single person on the right side of that room. RIP Senator McCain. If a Republican HAD to win the presidency, I wish it was you instead of him.

The last true Republican. A man of principle. Not party
McCain The Hero of America!!!!! will go down in history forever!
I miss real Republicans. Not many left.
The true Republicans were the people who ran against Obama. I still remember the respect Obama had with mitt. Their presidential debates were amazing compared to what we saw a few weeks ago.
@@KatRM13 agree. Obama even said that if either Mccain or Romney won, the country would be in good hands. Also lets not forget Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski, two republican women who voted against the repeal. They deserve admiration too.
@@KatRM13 I knew it was something different about Mitt Romney. I had a crush on him lmao and don’t get crushes on corrupt weirdos
@@brightdaysaheadofUs McCain should not have run with Palin, she seriously dragged down his campaign. But winning against Obama in 08 was almost impossible anyway. McCain and Romney both represent what I value most in politicians: They have a conscience. My personal views differ in many areas, but these are/were conservative politicians who have understood what it means to serve their country.
Now that’s an honourable and brave man. He voted for his country, not his party.
If only the GOP tried to hold themselves to a modicum of the standard of integrity as John McCain. Just imagine what might be accomplished if it were people like McCain we elected to office?
*Senator McCain was dying due to brain cancer at this time. He will always be respected. McCain KNEW THERE WAS NO PLAN TO TAKE THE PLACE OF OBAMA CARE/AFFORDABLE CARE ACT and refused to die with the blood of American Citizens on his hands. Thank You Senator John McCain.*
Thank you Senator McCain. RIP.
He is what the republican party is about not that dum trump
And how did he know, just for understanding purposes, that there would have been no plan to replace Obama Care ?
I didn't always agree with Senator McCain on certain policies but never the less he was always someone i respected. Not just for his service in our armed services, or his service to our country in Congress, but it was his character and his sense of honor that i always admired he wasn't afraid to stand up for what he believed was right even if it might have been bad for him politically. I wish we could have seen him as president if he had gone up against Hillary instead of Obama i believe he would have won and i would have definitely voted for him.
From one Maverick to another Senator thank you for your service and sacrifice for our country rest easy sir.
@@rauberhotzenplotz6657 … The plan Republicans had was barbaric and cruel, definitely worse than what it is now… It’s still nowhere near what it should be, but the ACA was at least a step …

He is despised by both left and right now. If I try to understand him I think he wants to repeal Obamacare but thinks there is no adequate proposal. It is a tough position, Republicans have tried to push the interests of big companies, if someone cares for the people will be ostracized.
The maverick. A true politician. He will be missed. Arizona voted against Trump for his memory.
To be honest, this man is the one who allowed me to continue to believe in the USA. John McCain, you are a legend sir
And now McCain is revered and has left a legacy of bipartisanship and patriotism. What kind of legacy will the Trump sycophants leave?

One of the last real Republicans in my lifetime 🖤
I've never seen a politician act with such humility, God bless John McCain
He literally told the president “no” Mccaine will always have my respect
Trump: “we’ll get it done”
*update from after 2020 Election, he didn’t get it done LMFAO*
I love America! You got this!! Politicians works for the people, not the party!
So glad John McCain helped me keep my Health Care.
Anyone got recommended this after Harris brought this up in last night's debate?
Now this man is a true Republican. I really miss the day of having disagreements with the Republican party that was just some differences on policymaking. How we get it back soon. I've always respected John McCain for him believes and was willing to discuss his differences with Democrats. May you Rest in Peace Mr. McCain.
This man is a True Hero lol I like that even in death, he stuck it to Trump by keeping Obama Care and not inviting him to his funeral lol.
Update: Trump is president (again) and still has a "concept of a plan" to repeal the Affordable Care Act
The "plan" is to let millions of Americans suffer and profit off of private healthcare. He never cared about the American people, only making his rich friends richer
I don't have health insurance but it always felt scary and dark hearing him talk about getting rid of something I didn't even have. But my mom was finally able to get health insurance through Obama Care and the thought of her loosing something so essential and hard to get in the States was debilitating. John McCain a true Hero. Just a great man
They worked on that for 7 years? Seemed like they worked on it for 7 minutes.
@1:21-1:22 you can see McCain stare McConnell dead in the eyes before he walks away. McCain saw the evil and contempt in McConnell's soul and voted against anything McConnell remotely supported. McCain will forever be one of the great elder states people and one of the greatest bipartisan politicians in the history of The United States of America. I feel privileged to have lived in a time where I was able to watch Obama and McCain debate on multiple occasions, 2 genuine giants of democracy debating with earnest and fervor.
John McCain is a TRUE AMERICAN HERO. LOVE HIM REST IN PEACE YOU AMERICAN HERO.
Who’s here after the Kamala vs Trump debate ? John McCain was one of the last decent republicans to hold office.
Meee
McCain was a true American. “Put health needs first”. And 2024 we are here again.
I wish McCain was still alive, I think he’d endorse Biden tbh idk
He didn't want Trump at his funeral. That should tell you a lot.
He probably would also endorse Mark Kelly for Senator
His wife Cindy mccain endorsed joe biden . It is a big reason why Arizona voted blue this year. And infact could be what won joe biden the election
If he was, I just wanted to hear what he would’ve said to expose 45. Although I could see a slug fest.
right on McCain keep giving trump the big thumbs down...
FUCK MCCAIN!!!!
Trump supporters liking their own comment, Sad!
An American hero my ass!!! They call him songbird for a reason. His brain tumor is clouding his judgement (if he ever had any) and he needs to go. I don't care whether he retires or dies as long as he goes.
Rumi---funny how much President Trump hurt him with just one remark.
Had McCain went the other way, imagine how much more people would have died during COVID.

The man from Arizona, he put Arizona first and his country first!! We won't ever have another Senator like him.
Sad what the Republican Party has turned into as of late….
This was a great moment in American politics! Some of the last respectable Republicans.
I swear this man was fricken class act! I respect no other republican more than McCain. If that vote was on the side of republicans or democrats he didn’t care as long as it was in the best interest of the American people. God I wish he was here today to show people what a true politician should act like! And this is coming from a Democrat.

I can't stand the current Republican/Trump party but man i wish this guy would run, id vote for him Those 3 words are what EVERYONE in the house and senate should be held to.

I was respect to John Mcain for doing the right thing for his country and I hope his Republican party will learn from him

Anything that brings Mitch McConnell disappointment is a win for the American people.
Trump couldn't "get it done" and another 7 years later the GOP still has no better plan
I have and have had nothing but respect for McCain.
John McCain is the example of what should be a Republican.
Disagree with Democrats, but be a politician, not a cult member.
I didn’t always agree with his policies but I gained a lot of respect for this man that day. Admirable!
Watching this brings a tear to my eye.
John McCain's was a true American hero 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
although i’m not a Republican, i truly believe that McCain belonged in office. He wasn’t loyal to his party, he was loyal to the American people. Those are the type of men we need in power, not those who only care about egos or wins for the party.
