www.cbcmusic.ca Singer-songwriter Feist sits down with CBC Radio 2 host Rich Terfry (aka Buck 65) to talk about her new album 'Metals' and the influence of radio on her life.
HA! I totally recorded music the way she did as a kid. And in Calgary too...I think we're even the same age. We're obviously soul sisters. That and we had a beer with one of my friends LONG LONG ago before the fame....I had no idea!
Gotta feel for all those lost souls out there who don't realize how cool this conversation is. Filthy n' Feist together again. Wish I could've been a fly on the wall in that studio during those moments when the on air light was off.
I love them both so much, and they have such a chemistry together. I think they should do a duo project, I mean, as far as I know, the only collaboration between these two was Rich dancing in Feist's video, but an album... Their two different genres blending together would yield unbelievable results!
Ha ha. Kind of like her recording the radio through the air, I used to do the same thing with my dad's Beatles records. I would plug in a microphone to the cassette recorder and then make my own Beatles mixes...complete with creaking chair and my coughs.
She and everyone in the Canadian music industry, at that time anyway, knows damn well who Rich Terry is and the creative music he through down both solo and with so many great artists over the years. Looking at you Jenn Grant!
I want that guy to interview ALL of my favorite songwriters. He's amazing.
Awkward. Was there an arrangement made where they agreed to spend the first half of the interview talking about the influence of CBC Radio?
the centaur
Isn't it funny that we're WATCHING a radio interview?
psh musically wise Buck 65 blows her shit out of the water....dont hate
His presence is tense, but his thoughts are so in-depth. yesss.
wow. her mind is even more pretty than her music. sanctity of a duet. I am speechless.
you can't tell that he's a nervous wreck interviewing the most phenomenal woman on earth?! I would be too. oh leslie
very nice interview (tho the ghomeshi references did not age well)
What an amazing interview. LOVE Rich Terfry and the depth of this conversation. LOVE it.
my expectations were so high regarding 'anti-pioneer'.. it never came up..
Feist seems very uncomfortable talking about her lyrics.
Stalker interview. Exhibit A your honour
It's really awkward how he doesn't react to any of her answers but just kind of leaves her hanging. Lucky her intelligence over-shines that though.

Everyone knows that Buck 65 was the guy Feist was dancing with on the One Evening Music Video, right?
Buck and Jian are one of the finest interviewers of modern day. I hope there were more people like them in the radio business.

I like how you call him "Buck65" his old rapping name instead of Richard Terfry :)
She's fucking wicked. Seeing her for the first time in London in March. MUSHABOOM!
And I love how Buck looks so excited describing his experiences listening to Metals.
i have a strange feeling that this guy wasn't straight at all.....
I love how Feist was genuinely taken back by Bucks interest in Metals:)
i could listen to them talk all day
*sorry not taken aback..I meant flattered :)

I wonder if leslie knew she was being interviewed by a legend
Not a legend. The legend! The legendary buck 65.
