      It's amazing to me, having lived in Calgary well before her birth, that she has that capacity and intellect. I saw no evidence, in those days, that our education system wouldn't have snuffed out that genius.

    Feist has an amazing voice. Her emotional intelligence is somehow even more impressive. I’m very appreciative of her being able to express herself because it’s helped me grow my own emotional intelligence.

    I can't believe how she just names and describes all the feelings I've had about becoming a parent, even the ones I didn't realise.

    Feel so seen by Leslie's ruminations on becoming a parent. What a wise and wonderful woman. Also the new record is gorgeous.

    Her openness, humour, intelligence and articulacy... Leslie, Dave Grohl and I should have a drink sometime. Well, I'd just be listening, to be honest.

    I would have been interested in the Conor Oberst connection. I know he did a cover of Mushaboom and I always thought The Park was a tribute to Lua. But I guess I'll never know.

    I love Feist, but I never would've been introduced to her music had it not been for Seseme Street. Parenting toddlers has its perks.

    Never meet your gpds.
    It never fails. I loved BSS and its spin offs, but Feist's solo works seemed unique.and brilliant. Now she has explained her brillianse I feel kinda dumb.

    I enjoy her singing and dancing.
    I had this idea she was foot lose and fancy free, but.......funny how first impressions are so wrong.
    Had no idea how self important she is and how having a baby is such an impediment in her life.

      @@jomassey4207 So she can “sing and dance” for you, but not talk candidly about her life? I think you’re confusing self-importance for your own petty judgment. She never remotely implies that her baby is an impediment. What are you even talking about? It’s hard to be a self employed woman who makes their living from touring and even work parenting in. She’s just talking about her life experience, and as a parent who is also a songwriter, I find her account to be VERY accurate.

    • @robertgranat9185

      She was incredibly endearing at her show. It’s saddening that speaking candidly signals self-importance to you. She spoke with real vigor about parenthood and dedicated a song to the parents in the room about what a terrifying ordeal it is to raise a child while feeling one yourself.

    • @PopLife-hb3ks
      @PopLife-hb3ks Рік тому +4

      Having a child is a huge lifetime commitment that shouldn’t be taken lightly. I think the world would be a better place if people contemplated the realities of it(parenthood) before actually becoming parents. She sounds very thoughtful and responsible.
