I remember the first time i cook this soup for my husband, he said my wife how did you manage to cook this Nigerian soup ❤️😍. I’m from Congo 🇨🇩 but because of this channel i have learnt a lots 😍❤️❤️❤️🙏🏽
I'm American, my husband is Nigerian, this is the first Valentine's in 2 years were not together so we decided to do something different. I have only mastered Egusi but he LOVES Ogbono so we're having a virtual date and he's going to teach me tonight. I wanted to learn fish pepper soup but he said Ogbono first. I just wanted to watch how you did it. I'm using chicken and lamb which what I like in my Egusi, I think he's using goat and beef. I had some of the the other ingredients. I like how you used Ugu leaves. He had me to buy oziza leaves. You make it look so easy, but you all do. His baby sister tried to help me with my pandu last year but I just left the kitchen and let her finish but I have it now. I've been spoiled these last two years because he cooks for me when I go there or we eat out. He's about to come to the states and I'm nervous as Hell, this man is serious about his food. I can cook my ass off with soul food but I give it to y'all, Nigerian food is whole different ball game. Wish me luck on this Ogbono. Happy Valentine's Day and God Bless. I'm going to look to see if you have a fish pepper soup recipe 😉
I have always known about cooking ogbono. I have cooked ogbono many times. I tried this recipe for a change and it was excellent. Just made it now and served it with eba. It was ridiculously delicious. I love your recipes. Very simple and realistic.
Thank you so much! I cooked this yesterday and gave some to two of my Nigerian neighbours they were stunned, they ask me how I was able to cooked this and I did it so perfectly well😊 I told them I follow your instructions! Thank you for this sweet recipe 💕
We need more African food worldwide. I would love to be able to buy the ingredients just by random shopping instead of chasing them for weeks even then giving up on finding specific African plants which are actually fresh not frozen. Living in Denmark makes it hard to cook African recipes. My man is from Greenland and I introduced him to African food he is going crazy for each recipe 😊😆 African food is highly underrated and ignored. Needs more marketing. Videos like yours make my day! Thank you for uploading ❤️❤️❤️
I’m Mexican American and my fiancé is Nigerian. The fishes look delicious and I’m wondering how do we get stock fish out crayfish here. I’m trying to get the rice and ogbono soup down to a T. There seems to be many steps, although you make it look so simple. I hope someday I can get down right. I’ll be using chicken n beef, minus the snails. My palate I’d not used to such textures. Lord help me. Cause u really want to make an impression on his parents
Hey sisi jemima I’m a Sierra Leonean and I’ve been eating ogbono soup but never cooked it today I tried your recipe and it was absolutely delicious thank you so much keep doing you I’m learning a lot from you
This Ogono soup can cause Traffic jam. The various types of meat and fish ''answered present' during roll call. It is just so much delight to learn to cook from ALL your videos. I stumbled on your UA-cam channel one hungry day and it is the best thing I have found on UA-cam. It has saved me a lot of money so I no longer go to my usual Nig restaurant to order take-out. I go to the Nig store, pick up my ingredients, quick refresher course, then I follow your instructions and produce the best Naija dish that anyone could wish. Your audio and videos are of very high quality. Most importantly, your directions are direct, concise and very easy to follow. I have practiced ALL the dishes on your UA-cam channel and if I can do it no one has a reason for not being able to cook anymore. I want to thank you & your team for taking the time and diligence to put out such quality videos.
😧 Oya ayam coming with my pestle and I've already tied my oja on my waist. I hope you're ready to fight?🤣I actually like it when you inject your personality into your videos. TFS.
Thank you for this beautiful and detailed clip. I just made my first ever ogbono soup, and as a diasporan. Can’t say it is the best I’ve tasted, but it’s surely tasty 😅
Please, o. I add onions to Ogbono. I add tomatoes to Efo Riro. I make food the way I like, and what tastes good to me. You're not alone in this, my Sista! ❤
Love your video always...muahhh..glad I can hear your voice now, years back I only hear the background tune and it brings lot of memory... Well-done and keep the good salivating Nija meal on point..Love you

Do your best, sis

Ogbono is also cooked in Cameroun, Ivory coast and Gabon, but differently. Mostly they tend to favour cooking it with everything that is smoked.
Is there any video recipe of how ogbono is cooked in the countries you mentioned?
I know in Edo state as well we use smoked things as well.
I love your recipes and your funny side notes.. it was the Come and beat me part for me😂 cooking is fun when you can augment your recipes😊
