Put your bowl and whisk in the freezer for about half an hour and use just a couple teaspoons of powdered sugar to lightly sweeten it when you’re whipping it. The cornstarch will help stabilize the cream so that it doesn’t go flat within a few minutes after it’s made.

Me: Ok, 5 minute study break!
Bon appetit: *Uploads a video of Claire making angel food cake*
Me: Ok ,16 minutes and 30 seconds study break!
Same
*i like big portions cause in my head it's just mostly air*
lmao me
I didn’t even know that Angel Food Cake needed rescuing, I think it’s great, not too sweet or too grandmotherly at all 😅
We rely on Half Sour Saffitz for baking rescue emergency alerts.
Sellinga coerwa Half Sour Saffitz will save us all 🙌
"I'm on a mission..." to watch every single video that Claire is in. Love everything BA does .. thank you cast and crew!!
You should send Claire to a country like France or Italy where she can Gourmet make some of their snacks
I would love to send snacks from Switzerland for her "to gourmet" (ok, so now it's a verb).
Yeah. Gourmet Makes: Going Places!
Claire being Claire and not stressed on Gourmet Makes is the best!
While I have nothing but time for more Claire Content, I will not be satisfied until she goes on a vacation and we get a 1 hr video detailing it!😗
I gotta say, it's so much nicer watching Claire do videos where she isn't tearing her hair out in frustration over trying to replicate industrial processes at home.
I love angel food cake. My mom makes it and chocolate mousse for me for my birthday every year. We also frequently have it in the summer in place of pound cake for our strawberry shortcake.
I like to make custard--usually chocolate--with the extra yolks to serve with angel food cake.
I like to make ice cream or creme anglaise with the extra yolks to serve with it :)
Both sounds like they'd contrast great with the cake. I'll have to do that if I ever bake an angel food cake. I was gonna bake one for my birthday cake but I got too busy handling other stuff.
