  • This video explores the concept of trusting one's intuition, especially for individuals who primarily rely on sensory information. I use poker to illustrate how intuition can lead to better decision-making in situations with incomplete information, which happens often throughout our lifetime.

Ooh this is so affirming! I’m an esfp and I started out about 3 or so ago years saying “let’s just try it out and see what happens” regarding trusting my intuition. Great success! My level up challenge has been to just pull the trigger (ie charge in boldly) on those kind of decisions now. Instead of trying to get more info.
I like it because it starts a cascade of new things that get me towards what something I want; I’m constantly finding new favorite things, so Se-Fi gets positive reinforcement to keep trusting intuitive decisions.

it's a double edged sword, there are times and places where my intuition is completely godlike and other places where it gets it wrong a pretty good amount of the time, going between these can gaslight you into not trusting intuition when and where it works, and make you do extra work verifying things when it's not needed, me personally, for things like stock trading decisions, business ideas, and my overall minimum, my intuition gets it right about 30-50% of the time, for things like day to day life and making broad calls on what quant trading model to use or what's going on with the economy, I'm more like 80-90%, as I got older I learned to keep track of these things, of course, what I described are like some of the hardest things you could possibly try to do or predict, I think day to day most INTjs can get almost anything in their personal life right most of the time, I do have a personal policy to double check my intuition all the time and I think that's a healthy habit

I love both parts of that: Yes, we are wired to lead with our Savior. And why not if it gets the job done? But to be more whole and adaptable, we must learn to trust our Demons and lean into them-even in the dark.

10:20 the thing is with high sensory. They can’t ‘know for sure’ if they didn’t see it. They are right in folding, but the rest of the night they think maybe i was wrong. Maybe i should’ve called. Realistically, the best way for the high sensory is to really study tables and charts. If you just do the GTO thing, it can’t be that bad. You lose out on some EV, but don’t make blunders like calling with AQ on a tripple bet queen high board. Sensory has the tendency to think “i got TPTK and maybe he is bluffing” no mate i turned trips bby. And then they say yeah but yeah but what. I wouldve played the exact same with aces and kings or any flopped set

I am sorry i am commenting before even watching the whole video.
I had to say that intuition (if it really is in my case!?) helps me in getting solutions of any academic questions as a student.
Sometimes, i get in a snap an idea to solve the question, but i ignore it, and try to solve methodically or whatsoever.
After knowing the solution, i am like shit! I had thought that for a second.
So, i am learning to consider all the ideas that i get.
I have encountered many random idea that suddenly peep over me, but then, in an instant they are gone, like covered by clouds,
I always wonder how many people feel these things while solving a problem.

This is by far the best perspective I have heard on "trusting your intuition". Typically, it's wild because they act like prophets and you had the sensory available to you. So putting it in poker terms (even if I don't play it), "an incomplete information game", trusting your intuition when the "sensory has been tapped out" that you have no choice but to use intuition (especially when the game is on the line) is solid advice.

Poker really unveils psychology so quickly. Also makes you realize how easy we can fake it in situations without pressure but how quickly we show our true nature when decisions actually mean something of value. ♥️ ♠️

Poker and Chess or any game of logic demands calculation. Albeit sensory or intuitive. I have encountered both. Sensors usually lose sight of the big picture and with that lose. But without them the stakes are minimal.

Thanks for the video. As an ISFJ it's not easy to develop my Ni function as it's not even in my function stack. Asking me to trust my Ni is, gut reaction, is like asking me to take a leap of faith lol. Fortunately I have my INFJ boyfriend and ENTJ daughter in law who show me nice examples of how to trust your Ni lol. Funny enough it's easier for me to see the Ni work when used by my daughter in law. Slowly but surely I'm developing my intuition hehe

I am bad 🫣. If he truly is sensory, he is going to forget his feelings by a bit of food. So use it. Abuse it hahaha. This is 3d poker
