We in Telangana School's learn Telugu,English and Hindi and I still remember one of my friend whose mother tongue is Telugu failed in Hindi subject in 10th Standard and his one year was wasted and all his friends moved to intermediate while he stood in 10 class. We felt very sad and he went into depression because of that. Hindi shouldn't be taught in School's and if it has to then it must be kept as optional. These North Indians impose Hindi on us and they study only 2 languages and we South Indians 3. Today's generation are dreaming about America,Canada,... no body thinks that after Btech or MBBS they will work in Delhi, or any Hindi speaking state. English is much useful than Hindi.
My God Man you have study 3 languages in south India. Damm being from Rajasthan in my 10th class we only had 2 languages English And Hindi. Even studying 2 languages was quite a drag for. And studying 3 would have made be dead. I'm a Tiprasa from Tripura and I also support Tamil Nadu in this regard. It is already mandatory for us to study English, Hindi and Bengali till secondary school in Tripura, CBSE has just recently included Kokborok (our native language) in its syllabus and we are being forced to use Kokborok in the Bengali script. The imposition of Hindi would be a burden on the students and the dead of the regional languages. I believe that we should be given the freedom in which we want to speak and the freedom to learn any language as per our requirement to expand our opportunities.

It is not about the superiority, it about that hindi should not replace english as the link language...I can speak, read and write Hindi and I'm a tamilian but i will not accept hindi as the link language...anyone can learn any language according to their need and interest and that is not the problem!!! Why what's wrong with English as a link language? Why should anything be imposed in a democracy? North-East, nobody speaks Hindi...South a lot of ppl speak Hindi, but out of their own will....central and western India is divided on making Hindi a link language. So what exactly are we achieving? Why fix something that is not broken? English should continue to be our link language. Legal stuff and govt. documentation can be in the local vernacular as well. We are too old (75 years) to change now.

Well every north indian state also has its own language but they are able to at-least converse in Hindi even if they dont speak it in their households. No one is talking about eradicating southern languages but just add another one to be able to converse with the north indians more effectively.

Telugu is spoken in 2 states in India so it is limited to that area, Tamil is spoken in tamilnadu and some countries like Malaysia and few others, but English gives you wider opportunities globally, so my opinion is to better learn English and leave the country for own good because anyhow nobody wants to grow up in an atmosphere of hatred
FYI: Telugu is official language in AP, TS and Yanam and the fact is Telugu is most spoken language in South India, and States like TN, KA has Telugu 2nd most spoken language. Overall Telugu is (4th) most spoken language in India after Hindi, Bengali and Marati. Telugu is (15th) most spoken language in the WORLD, and the Telugu is not only limits to AP & TS as you mentioned.

Tamil is the oldest language.. Even before Vedic period there was Indus Valley Civilization whose language/script matches with Proto Dravidian Tamil script... Aryans/Vedic period came after IVC era..

Yes✊️ FYI: Telugu is official language in AP, TS and Yanam and the fact is Telugu is most spoken language in South India, and States like TN, KA has Telugu 2nd most spoken language. Overall Telugu is (4th) most spoken language in India after Hindi, Bengali and Marati. Telugu is (15th) most spoken language in the WORLD.
Happy to accept Hindi as India's link language as long as proficiency in Tamil or Kannada or Malayalam or Telugu language is made compulsory in school and for all central government jobs for Hindi speaking states.

I can fluently speak Hindi, English, Malayalam and Tamil and although I'm from Kerala the only Indian language that I can read and write is Hindi but in my opinion no language should be imposed on anyone because simply it'll not work and I don't want my nation to be divided like what happened in Bangladesh or a civil war or unrest like in Sri Lanka. We in Telangana School's learn Telugu,English and Hindi and I still remember one of my friend whose mother tongue is Telugu failed in Hindi subject in 10th Standard and his one year was wasted and all his friends moved to intermediate while he stood in 10 class. We felt very sad and he went into depression because of that. Hindi shouldn't be taught in School's and if it has to then it must be kept as optional. These North Indians impose Hindi on us and they study only 2 languages and we South Indians 3. Today's generation are dreaming about America,Canada,... no body thinks that after Btech or MBBS they will work in Delhi, or any Hindi speaking state. English is much useful than Hindi.

And studying 3 would have made be dead. It is already mandatory for us to study English, Hindi and Bengali till secondary school in Tripura, CBSE has just recently included Kokborok (our native language) in its syllabus and we are being forced to use Kokborok in the Bengali script.
The imposition of Hindi would be a burden on the students and the dead of the regional languages.
I believe that we should be given the freedom in which we want to speak and the freedom to learn any language as per our requirement to expand our opportunities.

Why what's wrong with English as a link language? Why should anything be imposed in a democracy? North-East, nobody speaks Hindi...South a lot of ppl speak Hindi, but out of their own will....central and western India is divided on making Hindi a link language. So what exactly are we achieving? Why fix something that is not broken? English should continue to be our link language. Legal stuff and govt. documentation can be in the local vernacular as well. Why learn Hindi instead of learning science or mother tongue?
3. Indian citizens whose native language is NOT Hindi can observe the Indian currency note value written in his or her native language in a smaller font size compared to Hindi.
