Yeah like, what kind of diversity if we impose a language of a particular area on the whole country just because of a majority :/ These points which are governments try to prove are useless. And even if we try to impose a language, so, India will definitely perish. Because, with a certain language, a certain culture comes, so imposition of language becomes imposition of a culture too, and in that case, all cultures will be finished. I am from UP and I totally respect the fact of all other states, cause it is fully valid. But our government, especially the all-we-know ministers who didn't even graduated from their schools are imposing a culture on others😆. And even if we leave that aside, they don't even have common sense. Almost all our ministers are mindless creatures trying to prove an invalid point on a severe decision and they don't even know what the main thing is about. So, as a land of diversity, our nation should not become Hindustan it should become Bharat. I mean no disrespect but Tamil language is restricted to tamilnadu only and when it comes to Hindi its spoken and more or less understood in many states that why the emphasis to learn Hindi so that one will be able to communicate freely e.g when you begin Tamil, can speak English, Tamil maybe kannada but if you also know hindi you will have better edge if you ever interact with someone who speaks hindi, vice versa if a person from Delhi can't speak Tamil he will not have that edge as you had so it's better to learn, also its a matter of choice if you don't want to learn your wish nobody can /should force to learn
@venkat if you go to Japan they emphasis learning japanese , in France they emphasis on French , in Germany they emphasis on German language and they are proud about it. I am bengali and bengala language is my pride but learning Hindi is also practical and sensible thing to do and yes it unites people.

I’m tamil but not from Tamilnaadu, I’m originally Sri Lankan tamil (Tamil Eelam) but brought up in Norway. When I came for India around trip, while travelling around Hindi speaking states they maybe understood someway I’m tamil and showed arrogance to me. Sorry to say but I need to be honest I seen many like this arrogance lady there. If I wanted any help outside they wanted me to ask in Hindi, I said I’m a tourist but been tired of spending time on explaining to all. Many know English but they wanted me to talk in Hindi. Maybe reason was I looked more like Indian/ tamil they ordered me, they never listen, not interested to know about I’m tourist. It was like they wanted to be loud or Hindi only then help will be there. There was not any hospitality, not any respect in any way there. Only 5 star hotels could understand me and my situation. They told me to not go out alone said that not safety for female in India. Most of they know about Norway and said it’s not Norway, one elder man said i see you like a daughter plz go back home. As I tourist I got disappointed and was not more interested to stay so I left to south India. I been to Tamilnadu, Kerala, Andra Pradesh, Karnataka peoples there hospitality was best, they even wanted to know about Norway, language, education system. Many from TN was shocked for my fluent tamil. Why many tourist is because we love India let tourist love India

Yeah like, what kind of diversity if we impose a language of a particular area on the whole country just because of a majority :/ These points which are governments try to prove are useless. And even if we try to impose a language, so, India will definitely perish. Because, with a certain language, a certain culture comes, so imposition of language becomes imposition of a culture too, and in that case, all cultures will be finished. I am from UP and I totally respect the fact of all other states, cause it is fully valid. I mean no disrespect but Tamil language is restricted to tamilnadu only and when it comes to Hindi its spoken and more or less understood in many states that why the emphasis to learn Hindi so that one will be able to communicate freely e.g when you begin Tamil, can speak English, Tamil maybe kannada but if you also know hindi you will have better edge if you ever interact with someone who speaks hindi, vice versa if a person from Delhi can't speak Tamil he will not have that edge as you had so it's better to learn, also its a matter of choice if you don't want to learn your wish nobody can /should force to learn

I’m tamil but not from Tamilnaadu, I’m originally Sri Lankan tamil (Tamil Eelam) but brought up in Norway. When I came for India around trip, while travelling around Hindi speaking states they maybe understood someway I’m tamil and showed arrogance to me. Sorry to say but I need to be honest I seen many like this arrogance lady there. If I wanted any help outside they wanted me to ask in Hindi, I said I’m a tourist but been tired of spending time on explaining to all. Many know English but they wanted me to talk in Hindi. Maybe reason was I looked more like Indian/ tamil they ordered me, they never listen, not interested to know about I’m tourist. It was like they wanted to be loud or Hindi only then help will be there. There was not any hospitality, not any respect in any way there. Only 5 star hotels could understand me and my situation. They told me to not go out alone said that not safety for female in India. Most of they know about Norway and said it’s not Norway, one elder man said i see you like a daughter plz go back home. As I tourist I got disappointed and was not more interested to stay so I left to south India. I been to Tamilnadu, Kerala, Andra Pradesh, Karnataka peoples there hospitality was best, they even wanted to know about Norway, language, education system. Many from TN was shocked for my fluent tamil. Why many tourist is because we love India let tourist love India

I am a Telugu-Tamilian and as much as my mother tongue is Telugu, I was born in border areas of TN and AP and I consider myself Tamilian.
I don’t want anyone telling Tamilians what they should know or not know. I don’t want federal $$ used to promote ANY language. I want Tamilians to decide what they will or want to learn. We want people who speak Bengali to worry about their language in their state and Hindi speaking people to worry about Hindi in their states. So will Telugu people and so will Gujaratis or so will Assamese.

There are many countries which have English as national language. If you have a problem with Hindi you can migrate to any of those countries. As far as Hindi is concerned it is the national language of India. If we share a common Indian army then there is nothing wrong in considering hindi as the national language.
