I’ve met Des Bautista several years ago. My classmate is a close relative who graciously showed us around the house. Thank you Juliet and thank you Des. Des has passed on though. May his soul rest in peace. Sad that the government can only put a marker as a national heritage but will not offer funding or at least give tax exemption to these properties.
Des Bautista was our mentor sa aming theater guild (Sining Haraya) nung college way back 1977 sa Cabanatuan .Me and my husband were members then ( that’s where we met) and had a memorable experience under his tutelage . Thank you for sharing sir Abner , we need to preserve our history and culture . RIP Sir Dez Bautista .

Unless they do tourism this is not going to get the funds flowing. Unless the government works on funding for miscellaneous for education. We can use platforms but our internat access...truth be told is also on a schedules detail. Its just timed access to the satellites. If they get people to study these and get shared grants all over the world we can get experts in and out and the economics of it will just be as useful.
It's expensive. Allocations for museum upkeep. Must less a house like this has it's challenges. We will have to ask the masons for mutual support. So we can see what we can do for each other. Apart from the suggested details on systematic maintenance and renovations of heritage houses. It's not that easy because we don't wish to offend anyone. It's already tight with the requirements not all these materials are still available. Much of it needs to be custom made. It requires research to get exactly the same quality and old materials used to source from areas where human rights were violated. We really don't want that anymore. Some of them from endangered species and protected resources.
