I wear my aeropex so frequently, I don’t need any case for it. These are THE BEST headphones for my language learning efforts and listening to podcasts.
No reviewers have hyped these the way tbey deserve . I used mine for 8 straight hours of netflix , music , podcasts & calls & they were still on 60% . The mid high & bass are excellent & even better / fuller if you plug your ears . The call quality on my aeropex & my friends opencomm have been crystal clear . I can not hype theze enough
These headphones are the best invention for those who work in loud environments! I work in a wind tower shop and the welders love these headphones! We can use them with our earplugs and sound even better.
Thanks for the review! I just ordered these, and upgraded from the previous Air model. Work awesome for the gym , I tried other options, but find that this works best for me at the gym. The case is a great suggestion, ordered that too!! :)
Dude! Great! I love these so much. Using them right now in fact. I just like how I can be situationally aware of things at the gym. Glad you got them man. Let me know how you like them better!
I have to jump on this bandwagon, I received my Aeropex several days ago, never owned a pair of ear buds, I rolled the dice with these and cycled about 30 miles, wore them the rest of the day, didn't take long to figure out the buttons albeit, they are small (Big Hands). However, at no time did I feel unsafe on the road with these on. It just took my ride to another level. The daily wear is a whole topic in itself especially with the ear plugs!!!! Just ordered hardshell. Great review!!!!
Dude! Super stoked for you. Glad you were able to pick a pair up. They really do make doing everyday tasks a fun time. Low profile footprint makes them easy to wear too.
I’ve got the older Air model, they’re great for mountain biking or riding around the burbs, use them most days, especially for podcasts. On busy streets or above 20kph, traffic and wind noise tend to dominate.
I am thoroughly enjoying my aeropex & my friend is loving their opencomms . They sound greats & even better if you chose to plug your ears . The calls on both have been crystal clear . I cant hype these enough .
Just a suggestion but you could have put a Marco Polo style video clip in here ie one short clip of what the microphone on the headphones sounds like while you were talking about the microphone quality.
I ordered a pair before watching any reviews. They shipped today. I guess I took some ads for face truth in advertising. Then I watched some reviews. So at least I know what to look for. And know I wont be blown away. A good review nonetheless.

I find they are particularly good any one a little hard of hearing and hates anything in their ears , also terrific for tv as you are not shut off from your surroundings while watching. All in all a great headset if a little on the expensive side. But probably not for the technophobe sound wise . I genuinely love them.
One group of people that nobody talks about are people with conductive hearing issues. I am a blind person who has one. The bones that connect my left ear to my cochlear are disconnected. As a result, I have to use these in order to hear a stereo recording. Another thing that people don’t mention is that when you block your ears, the sound quality truly improves. Bass comes through, and you get a flat, detailed sound. You could actually use these for monitoring productions if you needed to. I use them mainly for DJ sets. I use DJ pro, the only DJ software that is accessible to the blind.
That's great that these have worked for you! I had a feeling these would be a great solution for people with hearing issues. I just didn't think it would be that impactful. I do use these for practical applications like Djing too. I actually don't use the provided ear plugs. I found another brand a little more comfortable for my ears. But yes, it's true, the bass comes through so much better when you use them. Thanks for the insightful comment!!
Critical update. I had surgery in 2020 to close a whole in my left ear drum, and I found out that the reason I couldn't hear well out of my left ear is because my malleus bone was over grown and was touching my cochlea. They shaved it down, and I hear a lot better out of that ear now. As a result, I have tried several other earbuds and compared their sound to the Aeropex. I've tried and returned the Sennheiser momentum true wireless two, the sound core liberty three Pro, the Sony WF 1000 XM four, and others. None of them sound as good as the Aeropex. I think the reason is because the bone conduction uses my inner ears, and it incases me in whatever I am listening to.
You wont regret it . I am thoroughly enjoying my aeropex & my friend is loving their opencomms . They sound greats & even better if you chose to plug your ears . The calls on both have been crystal clear . I cant hype these enough .
Thank you so much for your promote response, actually I have Plantronics Voyager 5200 and its' say caller name, also it's say Answer or ignore caller, which is great further while you biking or motorcycling. Which I always do biking so that's why I was thinking if could have this further on this Bluetooth. But any way thanks for your response.
How reliable is the new port magnetic charge...And why have two charger cables. .it is nice to have an extra cable..in case I lose one...or is it in this case one does not work?
Sorry for the late response! Yeah I think they are very sturdy! Very good to have two so I can have one at the office and one at home. I even sent one through the wash by accident and it was just fine.
I am thoroughly enjoying my aeropex & my friend is loving their opencomms . They sound greats & even better if you chose to plug your ears . The calls on both have been crystal clear . I cant hype these enough .
Thanks man! I appreciate you stopping by. So far no complaints. I do have to say that when in a noisy area these are a little harder to hear, but the person on the other line can hear me just fine.
Hi there. You mentioned that you ran a mic test on the Aeropex. How was the voice quality ? A retail shop I visited told me to avoid these if I am using the Aeropex for phone and Zoom calls. Is that true?

Nice review. Ignoring the various features, what would you say the sound quality is similar to? Are they better than the tinny $5 earphones you can buy, what about something like a $50 pair of in-ears?
They are definitely not as immersive as in the ear headphones, but I think it's really their function I pay for. It's something different that allows me to still be aware of surroundings. Definitely more heavy duty than $5 ones. If you constantly buy 5 dollar earbuds that break that'll add up... Haha
AZ Gear Guy thanks man, what about the quality of the sound in these compared to a $5 pair. I want them for their practicality but not if they sound like garbage.

If you're a big guy, these don't stay put. I have a thick neck, and everytime I turned my head, they would shift off the cheek bones. And in noisy environments you have to use the supplied ear plugs, which defeats one of the intended applications for it
I'm sorry man. Someone asked me about how they fit on people with wider necks. Not so good. I use them in noisy areas and honestly I'm not too bothered by them. The product is far from perfect, I think one would need to just pick and choose where the best place to use these are.
Yeah you absolutely can. You don't have to use the provided earplugs either. Any in-ear plugs work. Just make sure you change the EQ on the bonephones so its not too bassy and muddied and it sounds great
sir, I am a Yoga Partitioner, I am Now teaching Both online zoom classes and Direct Yoga classes, for that reason I love the Aftershokz, But not sure about the mic quality, kindly give your opinion sir

Gotcha. Just seems a little weak. Nice of them to include it though.
