    Just moved into a new house with a fancy pants toilet that is like skating on ice sitting down! I will be fixing it tonight and the Mrs will be impressed. Thank you so much for posting this.

    You sir, are a legend. Have been trying to figure out why it was loose and the screws wouldn't tighten down for a long time - I installed the thing too. Just needed pulling up to create the tension.

    If so many people, including myself, are having problems carrying out this simple household task, perhaps instead of blaming our own lack of expertise, we might ask why the design is so unfathomable?

    Thank you so much! I did this by myself and much to my husband's surprise! He has been wondering how to do this for some months now! We were on the verge of calling out the plumber or pulling it off the wall😂

    Thank you, thank you, thank you. My son's toilet seat has been "wonky" for nearly a year and he'll be so surprised when he goes to use it again. Very well explained except for geting the correct distance for the pins, but it's was really easy to work that out on my own. Thanks again. Paul

    Thanks so much for such a helpful video, I thought I was going to have to have the whole toilet removed to get to the screws!🙈 my button was in the middle at the back so I never would have found it without your help. I’ve not been able to tighten the screw yet, it keeps spinning but I’ll try again- I’ve made far more progress after this video

    • @claytonniemann4361
      @claytonniemann4361 3 роки тому +2

      If the spinning screw is still bugging you, I had to completely unscrew it, and pull the rubber part out of the porcelain. At this point I was able to see the threads to get the bolt all the way in. I couldn't do this while it was still placed in the porcelain. Place back in the hole, and go through the seat install.

      @@corinhart8959 I used a fine electrical screwdriver moving all around the edge until it started. Then could push down through the hole in the top with my thumb at the same time. Just work all around really slowly. When you put them back on spray with a bit of silicone and don't press all the way home
