The Marlins should revert to the 90s unis and keep the teal hat as an alternate. Everyone went conservative and dark in the 90s so the Marlins stopped wearing those teal hats after a few years. The basic 90s uni structure is timeless and no one needs to make significant changes from that.
It feels like the Marlins players (and at times the ownership/management) have given the fans a lot more than the fans have returned. 2 World Series championships in the first 10 years is almost impossible to accomplish in today's sports world.
Ownership keeps trading away players after success. Why should the fans give anything with an ownership not making an effort to consistently keep a good team together?
I don't disagree after what happened in 1997. But I do believe that ownership (although I don't like Loria at all) has made a more diligent effort in recent seasons to place a presentable product on the field. Yelich, the late Fernandez, Giancarlo, Gordon and others are legitimate talents that reflect the Marlins willingness to win. That said, I'm a Dolphins fan at heart. So I stick with the one legitimate South Florida team!
Those uniforms were the best in baseball. The Rays' original uniforms were also much better than their current ones although not bad like the Marlins' current one. The Marlins' best colors were in their first three years. Then they got rid of the aqua colored hats and helmets. At least they kept the colors in their logo and uniforms. But their current Miami Marlins uniforms suck.
@Hank Rutherford Hill I could out Hank you in my voice if you could hear me say: " Most of those were from.... Philadelphia.." I mean..ugh God for bid I ever travel back to the sunshine state..oh God.. I will boo them, Philadelphia is where liberty was birthed Bobby..that's America! 🇺🇲
@Hank Rutherford Hill I don't live in California so I don't respect anyone's who tries to tell me what to do, this was a comment I made over 2 years about the Florida Marlin's. Hence I'm from the PNW I was speaking of my hometown team the Mariner's. Ridiculous I'm even explaining myself. The respect where it's due is me 2 years later telling you find a new hobby.
Interestingly, there was a minor league team called the Miami Marlins which was once in the Baltimore Orioles farm system and played their games at the long-razed Miami Stadium. The Orioles held spring training in Miami from 1959-90.
I looked it up on Wikipedia and I find it funny how a lot of the major leaguers from this 1993 team practically disappeared and were out of baseball after 1995 except for conine, sheffield, and Weiss.
Ha, I had to lol at that. I don't know if you saw him when he was doing his low-brow schtick at the time, but my god yes. He was awful. He vacated the baseball scene all of a sudden. Or I did. Not sure which.
I miss the black, Gray and teal combination!
Yamel 13 same 😢
Jeter sucked the life out of the uniforms and the stadium with the 2019 renovation.

Those road uniforms were the best in baseball.
GO MARLINS! my one, and only team! FOREVER!
I love the Marlin franchise the best franchises in baseball
You fucks in Florida got the best drugs
That strikeout call at 9:20 was brutal.
*****
What like roughly the size of a Buick?
Yes I'm butchering a quote from Mr. Baseball.
To be fair it was Offerman and he sucked ass
That umpire REALLY wanted to please the home crowd, no doubt. As long as the ball didn’t bounce, he was calling it a strike
@@latinolawdog5067smart man ❤ he loves baseball an wanted it to work
Spring training
Ok that was brutal 😂nm
RIP Carl Barger and now sadly José Fernandez !
Damn how much I miss Chris Berman. He was a classic and the old ESPN.
I rememba going to them early games and they used to give us free blue hats & bats.. now we have Miami Marlins
Man I'd forgotten some of those amazing Chuck Carr catches. WOW.
The guy was a hell of an athlete.
Ivan Blanco word nigga
this is amazing! thanks for the post. great way to walk into Spring and the memories of baseball's past..
1993 marked the debut of the Marlins, but it was also the last season Major League Baseball is set in the 4 Division format.
Bring back the Marlins!

Luke Enno Those guys will be shipped, no doubt about it.
@@MGAF688 “the one legitimate South Florida sports team” lmaoooo wtf does that even mean? Heat, Marlins, or FL Panthers aren’t???? 🤦🏼♂️

They are back for the 25 year anniversary
The current uniforms are the worst!
Sure...guess the drugs in Florida make anything work
#bringbackflordiamarlins
I’m A White Sox Fan, But I was Excited About This Team, When they came out, And Marlins First World Series Win 1995
1997*
The Miami Florida Marlins started during the worst time when MLB was waningand the NBA was everything. The strike in 1994 didnt help.
Remember the time when the Marlins were good?
Hank Rutherford Hill remember when king of the hill was funny
Wayne Huizenga was such a crook
Love my marlins
Berman is friggin horrendous no matter the year
Are you kidding? Berman is great. A lot of people will disagree with you.
This team has 2 rings and Seattle has 0... :(
@Hank Rutherford Hill And?

The Florida Marlins give me anxiety...still do

awesome
Vada pinson should be in hall of fame
Great video, thanks for uploading. I subbed and hope to watch some of the Gems you have.
I watched the first Dodger game on the USS Belknap.
I participated in those rallies to bring a franchise to Miami, but it was a waste of time. That market sucks and they don’t have a solid fanbase.
I lived in Florida at the time and I had season tickets to that first season. Good memories but I will always be a Reds fan.
Carl Barger. You can easily confuse him for the Cleveland Indians shortstop at the time, Carlos Baerga.
RIP Chuck Carr
42:36 Marty brennaman
If Jose offerman struck out I'm jesus
Is that Vin Scully I hear narrating???
No..its George Grande...was reds TV guy for years and the hall of fame announcer
Has anyone ever had the balls to tell Chris Berman that he's not funny?
Ha, I had to lol at that. I don't know if you saw him when he was doing his low-brow schtick at the time, but my god yes. He was awful. He vacated the baseball scene all of a sudden. Or I did. Not sure which.
Miami Athletics till I die! LETS GO MARLINS
I'm Mark's son
Hi Brump! Welcome to my channel! :)
D O
The plural for Marlin is Marlin. There is no such word as Marlins.
I bet you're really fun at parties
achmeineye Yes I am! Thank you.
***** I bring the hookers and blow. It's not a party until I get there!
***** Well, I'm no Hugh Hefner. I can still get my dick hard!
RIP Hugh Hefner
every strikeout on here was a ball haha
