    Grande maestro, soy tapicero por usted hace 3 años. Me gustaria enviarle unas fiotos de mi trabajo. Jamas pense amigo que me ganaria la vida en esto, y empece viendo videos en youtube, es increible. Gracias espero conocerlo algun dia, viajo a L.A y Tijuana a comprar materiales de vez en cuando.       Estimado Luis, No se imagina la alegría que me da el saber que mis videos lo inspiraron para decidirse a hacer tapicería como un medio de vida. Sería muy interesante que nos enviara las fotos de sus trabajos para compartirlos con la comunidad de este canal y de ese modo inspirar a otros para que aprendan este maravilloso arte.       Me recuerda a un seguidor de Rusia que vendía tapetes de alfombra para vehículos de alta gama. Vio mis videos, quedó impactado y se decidió por la tapiceria de carros. No tardó mucho en aprender desde cero viendo mis videos y ahora tiene un taller de primera en Rusia muy implementado hasta con máquinas Durkopp&Adler nuevas. Hace trabajos en cuero/piel creo que hasta mejor que los que hago yo.
      Creo que es muy importante la decisión, algo de paciencia y algo de idea para hacer las cosas.

    Geez, almost looks like it's more work to do a headrest than an whole bottom or back part of a seat.. Completely not what I was expecting. Incredible work!!!!!

    This is great timing for me as I have a couple headrests that need to be recovered. One question that I have is besides making sure the fabric doesn't bunch while sewing, are there any other suggestions you'd have for doing this without a walking foot machine?

      These headrests can also be done with regular sewing machines. As mentioned in the description the 'key' is the first sewing along the edge, by forcing the edges a little when necessary to match the V notches. The second row of stiches would be much easier to perform.

    CONFUSED: If he had to cut the factory headrest upholstery to remove it, HOW was it installed??
    I had the same issue with my factory ones, it was the same way.. I could not figure out how to remove it as the stitching was INSIDE the entire thing had a welt around it..

      The most important part of this video is the process of making the cover (for beginners). It is not for a real job. It is just a simple demonstration/training on a cheap vinyl showing useful tips to make it.
      You are right, on a real headrest it is important the use of a related color of velcro that matches the leather or vinyl.

    Stretching the fabric the right way, double sewing the edges to secure the folds, good solution to avoid the vacuum cleaner process.....just 1 mistake.....do you want to know what it is ? ...................... The damn velcro is white......intolerable.......ruined the whole work man, what were you thinking ? lol

      You are right! We should use velcro with related color to the vinyl or leather we are working with.
      As this video demonstration is not for any client I used the white velcro I had at hand.
