That was great I was trying that in my warm up this morning ….. my biggest issue is not getting that little step into the notes below D. However hard I practise the step is there into Bb or C# or B …. C isn’t too bad if I’m arriving at it from D but from higher notes it also has that step in… do you know what I mean it’s a little unintentional overtone I think.
Not sure I understand exactly, but it sounds like the only note giving you trouble is D? Perhaps a quick video example of the issue would help me understand.

Great workout. What about the opposite? Like pressing the octave key but playing the lower octave note.
That’s a great exercise too… but addresses something different - great for the embouchure and air support!
