Hey mate ;) does the mic picks up background noise? (fan, AC, mechanical keyboard) and also would u recommend this mic or takstar sgc-598 for streaming? (to plug in pc motherboard)
It is not always that upgrading an item makes it better. Often quite the opposite. I have the first version that he uses here and this is much better than the newer ones...
I have some questions if I may: If I use it only on my PC, should I change the battery frequently? Or the battery is only used on cameras and similar devices? My point is to know if I will be constantly changing batteries or in case it's drained I can still use the microphone without the need of replacing the battery on the spot.
It will depend on your device or motherboard reading it that will determine if it needs the battery or not... So its kind hard to answer. I used this mic for a full year and and a half with camera and interface and I only had to change the battery one. Granted I was using the mic perhaps a grand total of about 5 to 10 hours a week. Hope that helps
@@Wild4 Many thanks, it helps a lot. Wild4Games Thanks for your reply. I’m not quite sure where the settings are you’re mentioning or if I’ve already did this. I ordered an external USB soundcard in case it is due to a faulty port. If that doesn’t work... then I’ll probably have to look for alternatives or take a look at my computer.

I just got a Boya BY-M1because it seems highly recommended across tech review UA-cam, but the audio quality I get on my smartphone (Samsung Galaxy J7) is scratchy and distorted and far inferior to the on board mic for vlogging. So far no videos seem to address this, could anyone here tell me what I'm doing wrong? I tried the default camera app as well as Open Camera and had the same result. I also use the mic exactly as shown.
That shouldn't happen unless your phone connector is dirty ( which is common on phones by the way ) you may have to clean it so the mic jack and receiver and a good connection. Also have you tested it on any other device to see if you have the same issue?
I know what is happening You most likely have your audio cable sitting on the ring light or power cord. You can't do that, audio cables will pick up the sound of the electric when the cable rests on power cables. Move your audio cable and you will be good :)
Thanks for the video! Was wondering if it also comparable with Samsung Android phone too? Can I just buy a dongle hook it to my iPhone so I can plug in the Mic?
Nice. I bought the same cheap $100 Samson wireless mic that Nagasaki has and it's kinda garbage. It's acceptable audio for super physical streams but was noticeably worse than my AT2020USB+ and not as reliable as my Steelseries Arctis Pro Wireless headset mic.
@@Wild4 Samson XPD2 Headset was a bit of a let down. The audio was just okay & the range was pretty unacceptable. Here's an example. www.twitch.tv/hazonku/clip/CrypticSuspiciousTofuBigBrother?filter=clips&range=all&sort=time
Where do you plug this in your pc? Does it work on front audio panel and the I/O rear shield on the motherboard? Do you need any sort of converter to use this on PC or can we just plug and play?
I have found using Lavalier mics with PC always results in having audio feedback or buzzing. did you have this plugged in to your camera or your PC cause i have been looking for a new mic to use whilst streaming VR content that isnt a mod mic
This one is pretty quiet plugged straight into a PC motherboard. Though it probably depends on the motherboard. It has to be boosted a good amount so it does have a good amount of noise capture/buzzing.
I have a question, if you are planning to stream for gaming how would you use the mic and then a headset but instead of use the headset mic for the stream you use the the BOYA mic but use the headset for the audio instead of using the mic. Is that possible?

Thats all you really need to do.
Also have you tested it on any other device to see if you have the same issue?
are these good for gaming? im planning to buy iems earbuds need a mic
Why not use the lav all the time?
They are more situational - even though they are good mics the capsules in them are small. Which means you wont get the richest sound out of them
How can you use this with an iPhone 11? I got it when I had an older phone and this one doesn’t have the option to plug in.
I bought this mic and for some reason whenever I turn on my ring light I get buzzing and can’t hear anything else. Any suggestions?
I know what is happening
You most likely have your audio cable sitting on the ring light or power cord.
I'm not sure about the mic being used for a phone but a quick google search should tell you.
Nice. I bought the same cheap $100 Samson wireless mic that Nagasaki has and it's kinda garbage. It's acceptable audio for super physical streams but was noticeably worse than my AT2020USB+ and not as reliable as my Steelseries Arctis Pro Wireless headset mic.
Oh really lame - I wanted to try that one out to see how it is
@@Wild4 Samson XPD2 Headset was a bit of a let down. The audio was just okay & the range was pretty unacceptable. Here's an example. www.twitch.tv/hazonku/clip/CrypticSuspiciousTofuBigBrother?filter=clips&range=all&sort=time
Do you use battery when you play it on windows?
Can we use it for Streaming on laptop?????is it better than normal eaephones
It depends on your device - some will some wont
Where do you plug this in your pc? Does it work on front audio panel and the I/O rear shield on the motherboard? Do you need any sort of converter to use this on PC or can we just plug and play?
Any mic-jack on your comp will work
I use it 6 times the metal wire inside the cable snapped😕
I hope that was an affiliate link for the mic. I like to support other channels.😍
It should be - if you used it thanks for the support.
How do u play music in background of stream for twitch on Xbox or playstation
thank you for the good review sir..
Glad to help you out :)
What is your current camera?
Canon SL2 - Links are in the vid description :)
Wild4Games thanks 🙏
This may be a dumb question, but do you need the battery in it to work in an iPhone?
Amazing Video i also want to buy this Boya mic, may this work on ps4 for console streaming
Plse reply
To be honest I didnt try that BUT I could see it working since it have the same 3.5mm jack input
Ive been using this mic for live streams and it sucks ! just thought I hear about why?
Looks just about perfect. Does it record in stereo or mono?
Here are all the specs to help you out:

I have found using Lavalier mics with PC always results in having audio feedback or buzzing.
did you have this plugged in to your camera or your PC cause i have been looking for a new mic to use whilst streaming VR content that isnt a mod mic
This one is pretty quiet plugged straight into a PC motherboard. Though it probably depends on the motherboard. It has to be boosted a good amount so it does have a good amount of noise capture/buzzing.
I have done both with no issues - You could always get a an external 3.5 jack to usb sound card and that might solve your issue
Did you solve the problem?
You are funny! :D Thanks for the review. It is kind of nightmarish to buy a mic for a non-expert.
Would this be good for mukbang asmr?
Yes, definitely! Thanks for watching!
Great Video, do i need to use the battery in when recording on my phone? My sound is not working well. Can you help?
Most phones wont require the battery
I have a question, if you are planning to stream for gaming how would you use the mic and then a headset but instead of use the headset mic for the stream you use the the BOYA mic but use the headset for the audio instead of using the mic. Is that possible?
You mic on your headset would need to have a mute or remove option ( most gaming headsets have that ) then select this mic as your input source
