Love the napkin with the 60 weight thread. It’s gorgeous!
HI Robin! Thanks! I love them too!
wow how that’s so beautiful
Thanks Lucy!!!
Love it with the 60wt thread and the lighter blue.
Thanks Debbie!
Thank you for making this video. It's very helpful and very informative.
Hi Vera! You are so welcome! Happy Sewing and Embroidering!
Thank you for the info
You are so welcome! Glad you enjoyed the video!
The one on the left 65x9 needle. Thanks pretty
Thanks!
Use distilled water in iron. I’ve had the same iron for 30 years, never have that issue. I also never leave water in after use.
Hi Debbie. Thanks for the tip. I was using regular water. Will definitely switch!
I like the 60 weight. I saw a video where someone sprayed water on the front and as the water saturated the front it caused the stabilizer to loosen from the back and all you needed to do was pull it off the back. Great job!
HI Daphne, I do this with the topping. I going to do this for the next one I do. I love the 60 weight thread too especially for smaller embroidery.
Like the lighter color blue💖
Hi WalkbyFaith. I do too!!!
I like the 60 wt thread. I’m late to the party but what about a brush the back with a new soft toothbrush with a little water? I’m going to give that a try.
I have another video with the handkerchief. I can out better. I used tear away stabilizer on that one.
I like the one on left with 60 weight thread beautiful job
Hi Aimee. Thanks! I can see myself making more of these!
@@BoricuaSewingCrafts go for it they are awesome keepsake
Hola 👋 Love the hanky and the trim
Hi Lucy! Thanks!!! These are easy to make!
I like the 40 weight.
They both look good.
I am told OESD has a pressing cloth that is wonderful for helping with puckers.
Oh, I will have to look into that. I have been using a Telfon sheet.
I like the 60w never used it. I need to get it in a couple of colores
Hi Evemar. They really make a difference!
Ive done one for a family member and there was some puckering. She didn't care. I really like the 60 wt thread example. Nicely done
Hi Loving life, I think I got the puckering with the 40wt thread. The 60 wt thread came out much better. Less puckering. You have to make sure you pick light designs because the fabric is so thin.
Thank you for this video, Jeanette! Nice to see the comparison. The 60 wt thread looks crisp compared to the 40 wt. Where do you buy or what brand do you use for 60 wt thread? I too would love to know how to remove the water soluble stabilizer. I don't like it when it gums up. Same feeling as you. Thanks again for always sharing with us! Wepa! 🇵🇷
HI Tricia! It looks like soaking them in water was the best solution that I found so far.
very elegant design. I like the 60 wt thread. can you use tear away on these
HI Chris. You can but the cloth is very thin. You will need to ensure you remove all of the stabilizer or you will see it from the front.
You are the BESt. Watch your videos everyday. I’ve learned so much. Which multi needle machine are u using?
Hi Jane! Glad to know you are enjoying the videos! I will make sure to keep them coming! Happy Sewing and Embroidering!
which water soluble stabilizer did you use? it looked like it wasn't flimsy like the one I have
Hi Jane. Here is the link to the one I use: amzn.to/3yOj640
Where do you get the large spools of 60 wt.? I went to All Stitch and bought a very small spool.
Hi Allison. I purchased mine from Allstitch. The big cone of the 60 wt look small then the 40wt cones. Remember the thread is thinner.
Love the napkins - what's the name and size font you used
Hi S Lynn. The font is half an inch. Called Merrow Dixie.
I love your videos. If you don’t mind me asking. Where did you get those style handkerchief from?
Hi Lisa. Here is the link to the handkerchiefs: amzn.to/3uR7H17
What would you suggest on a silk handkerchief?
Hi Johanna! Cutaway for heavier silk; tear-away for light and translucent silk. Choose lift and simple designs for translucent silk, can use more complex designs with heavier silk. Use a 75/11 sharp needle.
@@BoricuaSewingCrafts thank you for responding. It is a light weight silk handkerchief, kind of see-through. So I would use a tear away and not the water soluble stabilizer or use both? Sorry if I confused you, I'm confused myself
Wow that’s a beautiful machine I have an embroidery machine but mine does not like that mines is it for singer futura xl 400
Hi Lucy! I love my Brother machines. They have been a great investment!
@@BoricuaSewingCrafts Yes I have a brother Surgery and they are very good
Is the 65/9 needle sharp or ball point? Do you have a link you can share? Great tips!
HI VFontes70. They are ball point. I get mine from Allsticth. Here is the link: allstitch.com/products/hax130ebbr-needles-for-brother-pr-babylock-professional-6-10-needle-machines?ref=t9p1jbzpf2
@@BoricuaSewingCrafts thank you so much for the reply!
Love it!! I just dip mine in water. All WSS disappeared. The second one is my fav. Also it’s ok to use 60 wgt in the top? Did you use 60 wgt bobbin?
Hi Beverly. Thanks! Yes. I use the Magnetic Core Fil-tec bobbin for my multi-needle machines. The bobbin is 60 wt.
@@BoricuaSewingCrafts do you think 60 weight in upper and bobbin are ok on a Brother single needle? I’m still kinda new to all this. Thanks!
@@beverlyreynolds5686 Yes. It will be fine.
@@BoricuaSewingCrafts thank you thank you❤️
How do you know if a design is dense? Sorry I am a newby
Hi Heidi! No problem. We were all newbies! :-). A design is dense when there is a lot of stitches that are right next to each other and the design is filled with stitches (thick) These designs are very difficult to do with thin fabric which is why you need use extra sheets of stabilizer to give the fabric more strength.
Do you buy the handkerchiefs or do you made them? I really enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Daphne. I purchased a pack of 12 of them. They are easy to make as well.
what weight bobbin do you use?
Hi Chris. I use magnetic bobbins with my machine. part number: 12434
The weight of the top thread is 60.
A pressing cloth will work too instead of parchment paper
Hi Johanna. I have one of those. Definitely will use it!
Jeanette, I would like to reach out to you via private msg. Would that be ok?
Where did you get the handkerchief? Thank you
Hi Jan. Here is the link to the handkerchief I used: amzn.to/3uR7H17
😊 thank you.
Thank You for this video Jeanette. I like the comparison between the 40 and 60 weight threads, plus the use of the 65/9 sewing needle. As for getting off the water soluble stabilizer off your projects, I followed this trick from the Monogram Mompreneur :
ua-cam.com/video/OaUHqK_s1AM/v-deo.html
Hi Lesile, I saw that method. After doing several of them by now, I'm finding the best way to do the handkerchiefs is to place them in a bowl of water and then let them air dry.
60wight
Hi Jean. I totally agree. I think the 60 wt looks so much better!
