I remember buying the album “coal not dole” at the gmb congress off the Durham miners stall! In 84/5? Best album I ever bought! And was so proud and still am to have supported such a worthy cause ! Unfortunately not enough of my generation supported the “Right cause”! And our children/ grandchildren are now paying the price! Rant over! Loved the introduction to the Album by Jock burden but can’t find it anywhere on UA-cam!
@Aut0five The march and rally at Murton in December 1984 was oganised by Murton NUM whose secretary was John Dixon. It was, if I remember rightly, the last big rally of Durham Miners before the end of the strike.
@@marystratford1312 Delighted to see your comment Mary - I hope you are ok - unfortunately I think my time is almost up i.e. age and illness. I did these videos (originals Albert Nugent) to hopefully educate new generations of our struggle which was never equal as the might of the State saw to that. However, we can always say we did our bit. Love and Solidarity, Florence x
