No matter what you write Alan Hull was and will be for years to come one of the very finest writer and musicians ever to record songs. You only have to listen once and you want more, RIP Alan Hull.. 👍

Couldn't agree more Des. Fair tribute. First time I saw Lindisfarne was, I think, 1977. West Runton Pavilion, North Norfolk. Now a housing estate, of course, but in the day they had Camel, The Jam, Tom Robinson, loads of acts. Backstage that night the whole band was welcoming to a young upstart drinking Red Stripe, I still have the cover of "All Fall Down" signed by the band, 45 years on. Alan was a class above in terms of songwriting, and he was also lucky to have found the rest of the band to bring out his talent. The world would have been so much poorer without him.
My biggest music hero! Seen him at least 6 times. RIP, seriously missed!
