As a Pink Floyd fan I always watch cover's of this David Gilmore famous guitar solo and some are close some are far from it.

As someone who's spent hours and hours studying and practicing the music of DG, you are an absolute stud, man. You have some of the best covers on UA-cam. Your Marooned cover blew my mind. That song isn't only a technical and tonal masterpiece, but the emotions you have to evoke in yourself to perform it properly is something that cannot be taught. You have earned my sub. I'm in my late 20s. It's incredible to me that despite being nearly half a century old, the music of Floyd has transcended generations and is still being studied today. Excellent work, my man.

I've seen another cover from someone else on UA-cam who does this same version and both of you are spot on. In my mind this is a great accomplishment hitting every tonal inflection right down to the guitar wail towards the end. I am envious and in awe of your musical talent. Congratulations!

I haver seen Roger Waters back 2000 In the flesh tour as it was recorded at Portland Oregon. I was in the audience and then I then saw David Gilmour at the Forum in 2016. Have you seen the remastered and remixed Pink Floyd "Delicate Sound of Thunder" concert from 2019? David Gilmour's "On the Turning Away" solo is lengthier and even more beautiful than the one on the original. It is my favourite Floyd song of all time!

Don't think there's another solo that can portray an emotion sooo good! There's no need for words, after that last Confortably Numb verse, just the guitar speaking!
