Hermes is actually Odysseus great grandpa. And he a agent of chaos. He loves to be mischievous and see the chaos he caused while laughing
Oh yeah, I remember hearing about that a long time ago. Let's just erase those shipping jokes I made...only in alabama... but that makes sense as to why he would be more inclined to help ody. Like I remember him being the God of mischief, but being family probably helps just a bit
@@DarkBenderVT Actually a few more facts about hermes, Yeahh its a bit odd with the shipping but speaking mythologically sadly its pretty normalised so at this point its best to ignore any family relations because yes canonically half of them are married to their own family.. Buttttt hermes is actually known in mythos to often help heroes for selfless reasons, simply providing them with materials in advice in various stories because he feels like it too :3
@@DarkBenderVTTo be fair Greek mythology makes Alabama seem normal by comparison. Hades is married to his neice, Zues married his sister, has slept with some of his daughters and great granddaughters and basically everyone is related because he really gets around.
In the Survive song, I aways pictured that Polites was, instead of standing still, helping the soldiers (because he was a soldier too), but was more focusing in giving suport instead of damage, like distracting the ciclops or pushing someone out of the attact of the ciclops and that is how he get hit. I imagine like, Odysseus being overconfident and not noticing the ciclops reaching to someting, but Polites notice and runs to save his friend and then he gets the hit that was aimed to Odysseus. This way the shock would be bigger, because his overconfidence made him blind and caused his friend to sacrifice himself so he could survive...
Circe is the daughter of Helios the god of the sun (the cows 😉) and a nymph that's why she had alot of mini suns on her outfit

Funny they made Ajax small. He is the biggest and strongest in the army during the war. He had a shield only he could lift due to its weight.

That's Ajax the Greater, who had already been killed by Hector at this point. "Little Ajax" is supposed to be Ajax the Lesser who tbf was not small by normal standards, just by Ajax standards.
From what Jorge said “Ajax stay back” is so he can guard their back/rear. We just interpret it as a child who should “stay back”
@@richardhughes8111 Ajax the Greater wasn't killed by Hector. He and Hector fought but they fought to a standstill. Ajax and Odysseus were competing on who should get Achilles' armor and Odysseus won (it's said either they had to convince the other kings or a group of Trojan prisoners who between them deserved it more). Ajax was so mad that he flew into a blind rage which made him think that a bunch of animals were actually the people he was angry at so when he tried to kill them he was killing those animals instead (some stories say Athena gave him these delusions to protect Odysseus), when he regained his senses and saw what he had done he ended his own life out of shame by falling on Hector's sword.

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed! I've been dying to talk about epic cause it's definitely become an obsession, so getting to talk about every song has been so fun and I can't wait to finish the rest

Holy silence. Could this video be any quieter? Max volume and I can't hear the music at all. You need to work on your audio. This is unwatchable.
I don't mean this in any rude way but maybe it's your sound system. I hear it completely fine through my phone, I don't know. Its a little low but I can still hear it clearly.
@@ladyluck6415 seconded, i can hear just fine. either that or they need to get their hearing tested lmaoo, ain't no way putting this on full volume is good for the ears. also 18 something minutes into the video he does increase the music's volume so
