I fletched my first set of arrows this week and started with the TAC Driver 2.25. Followed Levi’s instructions and the arrows look and perform very well.
The information I get from this page is awesome. I love bow hunting in my home state of Florida, public land junky, bow hunting nut! Come on September...
We've been building ours the exact same way using different arrows. Cut, square, clean. I FINALLY spent the money on that LCA jig. I bet I could have saved hundreds if I had only got the wallet out back in the day. Gonna have to give those TD vanes a nod. Been shooting AAE and FF. Time to tinker. Love the boot camp videos! "Basic" training on the fundamentals of everything archery. 👍👍
can we please get a video of levi morgan’s hunting arrow setup? there’s a whole lot more archery hunters on here then tournament shooters. we would love a video plus i want to learn for this season coming.
Bowmar has a hunting arrow video that's 1 hour 45 . It's good. Better than this. Although this is more concise and explains a bit more about twist rates. But bowmar explains weighing and trimming everything so every single arrow comes out within a grain or two. Fletches vary in weigh, and he goes as far as weighing them before useing them. These practices are what good riflemen use. Weighing the case, and bullet, and primer, so everything can be checked along the way.
Gold Tip arrows are so great and so underrated. Other companies keep coming out with new stuff and gimmicks. Gold Tip just keeps chugging with affordable, super well made, and durable arrows. I hope they never stop selling Ultralights. I'm squaring a dozen by hand right now.
Thanks Levi! Great information that you shared and opened my eyes. Went out and found out my arrow spin to the left. I have a right helical clamp so I ordered a left clamp. I don't care about your hunting setup as it's most likely very close to your target setup. I am shooting your broadheads so I'm hoping everything will turn out evenly??? I would also like to ask another question Levi? When choosing a particular length for your arrow, do you like cut off and leave x-amount of inches past your riser then see how arrow flies then start cutting off 1/4 of a inch at a time????? I know of course there is a ruler out there that tells your draw length but is that just a wild guess or is it precise????? Thank you and if course keep winning!!!! Your a remarkable archer!
You can remove the nock and put a drill bit into arrow and sling hard as you can and it will knock the insert out. I’ve done it with ones I’ve superglued in and other inserts
Is there anyway you could go over a product run through as far as fletching jig, shaft cutter, etc I’m the market for all that and really like your setup!!
I have a question for you Levi...I've been taught with vanes no helical just offset...is this your belief as well? You said both in the video, but setup the jig with offset.
I know that this is two years old, but I have a question. If you were going to shoot Indoor 300 rounds, would you use this same set up or would you use feathers. I am older, 61 years old, and have shot more indoor than 3D. I have always thought that a well made vane would be more consistent from vane to vane in weight than feathers, yet most use feathers indoors and canes outdoors. What is your opinion on this? Also, can you tell me the brand of those jobs and weights and wraps. I have always preferred a shield cut over any other vane or feather. I no longer compete, but I would like to set up one more perfect set to just shoot in the back yard.
Far be it from me to question the expert...but i was taught to remove any oils from fingers by wiping the fletching surface of the arrow and the gluing surface of the vane with iso alcohol. I noticed (not picking or judging...just noticed) you even rubbed the side of your nose...a known oily area of the face... And then touched the arrow and vane with that hand.
Really appreciate you guys. Quick question on the nock do u set your nock slot center of the vane closes to the nock or turned to the lower part of the vane at the end of the helical
When that pronock splits in half and blows your bow up. You'll learn that one. Try running a left fletched arrow marked with a string attached on the front at whatever your test range is. Whatever your nock stupidity is. It is not worth the Time. That string will be wrapped around the front of the arrow. I'd say at 2 ft. At least once. The Vanes are applied at release. They have Tension before they are Released. Sort of like a gun. It's wanting to spin according to the Physics applied. It doesn't act up after released. All that money and time. Do a slow mo. It's easy to see. Clockwise for Righty's. CounterClockwise is for lefty's. You have the tools to build them. Nice stuff. Do you mix the Clockwise ones with CounterClockwise Ones??
I've seen the knuckle ball. Does fletching left cause broadheads to come loose. I started doing a 3⁰ right so it corrects alot quicker for hunting but just curious
Because it depends on the twist of your string. Sure, most strings are twisted clockwise, thus, giving you a left clocking arrow. But not all are twisted clockwise. ABB is one example, where their strings are twisted counter clockwise, thus, needing a right helical. They do straight fletch from factory so that it doesn't matter which way and it can work for all set ups.
there is lots of reasons to wrap your arrows. They include arrow identification, labelling shafts with your name and a number, protecting the shaft from fletching adhesive, and then obviously to make them flashy lol
Thanks for the video and the free education. Do you weigh your arrows to determine the difference in weight? I notice about a 2.5 grain difference in a dozen arrows. Is that something to be concerned about. Shooting a Mathews Traverse, 60 lbs. and 29" draw length. Shooting mostly local 3D and practice rounds.
Hey man, I have been searching for good arrows but I'm having an issue. I have a 32" draw. I plan on building my own aarows. I got a 73 lbs. Draw weight. Any ideas?
I've noticed that no matter what bow I use the cheaper arrows will spin left or right but all my high end arrows only spin left. I don't think it's the bow, I think it's the arrows.
Question, some people put the arrow before fletching it in water to find the heavy side of the arrow and mark it so all the light side of arrow is oriented up for consistency. Do you do this step?
Levi,,Will the bow the arrow the same direction, no matter what brand of arrow you try,,or should each brand of arrow be tested for the direction of bare shaft spin?
I did this for shooting whisker biscuits for years. Improves fletching longevity big time. Don’t know about on the back end though. Now... honestly I shoot a true glow Range Rover drop away rest with shrink fit fletches and love the results. Easiest way to fletch an arrow and you get uniform repeatable results every time. Also.... a one pin adjustable sight took me out another 30 yards. Hope this helps.
You can get them out buy dropping a small rod or even a drill bit inside and slinging it in a hammer fashion. It will break the glue free after a few times and usually doesnt damage a thing.
You can from the nock side of the arrow if you don’t super glue it in. That’s why he talked about cool melt glue instead of super glue for the nock bushing
If you all have not seen a documentary called.. it's worse than you think.... By revelations of Jesus Christ ministries..... I suggest you do. All praise and glory to the most high Jesus Christ

Your mindset shows why your the world champion Levi ,
Love the attention to detail that’s what it takes .
Shoot straight my friend !!!

Awesome video! 11:40 Primer pen tip: Use a clean bottle cap to compress the felt marker, makes a little reservoir of primer and waste less over time.

Thanks Levi. My break from the media. Much needed fresh air of wisdom.

still think this is a great idea

Great video champ! So jealous of that LAS saw. That squaring feature is worth every single penny.
Can you do this for a hunting arrow setup?
What he said :)
@@lukeashoots4463 what both of them said!
So I just found out I've been shooting the wrong helical for years!
Just ordered a left helical jig clamp.
Thanks for the info!
Awesome video! Can we get one on your hunting setup as well
Yes I want hunting set up
Me too
Me three
Great video. Good luck shooting this year 2021. Keep the winning streak going. Thanks
Thank you for a very informative video Mr Morgan.
Great advice! Awesome video! Good Luck this year! North Carolina
Great video. You should do a video on your hunting arrow set up

Thanks for making such a great video. I would really appreciate a how to video on that cane master pro from LCA.
Very Nice ! Also looking for hunting setup 🏹, really enjoy your channel Levi 💪🏻
I thought for sure we'd see a spine test on each arrow and the nock aligned accordingly.
He talked about that in another video said it was the tip no one knew lol
Great video Levi! Thanks.
Good video. What is your opinion of 4 fletch for hunting setup? Impact on solid broadhead accuracy.
Some good advice/information man, thanks.
UA-cam actually recommended a video of interest to me. Something must've broke.
Is there anyway you could go over a product run through as far as fletching jig, shaft cutter, etc I’m the market for all that and really like your setup!!
Great video! Very informative and thorough. Does goldtip flex fuse glue bond well with the tac driver veins?
Incredible information.
Levi can you please do this with a Hunting arrow with 4 white feathers.
Great video, thank you Levi !
What glue do you use for your nock and point ?
The TAC glue and primer pen can be purchased as a kit, or purchased individually, I believe.
I have a question for you Levi...I've been taught with vanes no helical just offset...is this your belief as well? You said both in the video, but setup the jig with offset.

I've seen the knuckle ball. Does fletching left cause broadheads to come loose. I started doing a 3⁰ right so it corrects alot quicker for hunting but just curious
Hunting set up? Or a Treestand Set Up?
If "clocking" is so important, why don't the arrow manufacturers make the factory fletched arrows left helical?
Because it depends on the twist of your string. Sure, most strings are twisted clockwise, thus, giving you a left clocking arrow. But not all are twisted clockwise. ABB is one example, where their strings are twisted counter clockwise, thus, needing a right helical. Hi, i was wondering if there is a reason for using wraps when fletching your arrows or is it just cosmetics
there is lots of reasons to wrap your arrows. They include arrow identification, labelling shafts with your name and a number, protecting the shaft from fletching adhesive, and then obviously to make them flashy lol
Hey Levi. What fletchers can I use for the tac vanes? Is there a less expensive one I can use?
Thanks for the video and the free education. Do you weigh your arrows to determine the difference in weight? I notice about a 2.5 grain difference in a dozen arrows. Is that something to be concerned about. Shooting a Mathews Traverse, 60 lbs. and 29" draw length. Shooting mostly local 3D and practice rounds.
Most people won't be able to tell a 5 grain difference at 50 yards.
Levi do you adjust the knob setting for 2 degrees if you have already adjusted your vane clamp to 2 degrees?
Been really thinking about building my own arrows and also working on my bow nobody cares about your equipment like yourself!
How do you pic the perfect spine , length and tip weight for your arrows to get maximum accuracy?
Hey Levi, IDK if you're reading this or not. Just curious why you don't like a drop away for tournaments? Big fan! Thanks.
Question, some people put the arrow before fletching it in water to find the heavy side of the arrow and mark it so all the light side of arrow is oriented up for consistency. Do you do this step?
What equipment did he use? My captions aren’t working properly.
Arrow builds are critical but I really, really hate building them.
What’s your draw length and what do you cut your arrow off at 30 inc ???
Levi,,Will the bow the arrow the same direction, no matter what brand of arrow you try,,or should each brand of arrow be tested for the direction of bare shaft spin?
If you check out Paige Pearce's UA-cam Channel she has a video answering this.
@@user-qp6dh8lp9g you could have answered the question.
Can the same bow throw a different arrow the other way. Like if your bow throws that arrow left would it throw right if you shot a different arrow
Do you see any benefit in using a small spot of glue at front/back (heading/tailing) of the vane?
I did this for shooting whisker biscuits for years. Improves fletching longevity big time. Don’t know about on the back end though. Now... honestly I shoot a true glow Range Rover drop away rest with shrink fit fletches and love the results. Easiest way to fletch an arrow and you get uniform repeatable results every time. What glue are you using for the fletch.
Higher offset for fixed blades? I'm thinking 5°
Sir What kind of Saw is that again? Sorry if you mentioned it . Ty ... Also How do I Pro Follow at Lancaster Archery? ( Your Equipment list ? )
He uses the last chance evolution saw and he’s not on the LAS pro staff list
Hi, he is using the Last Chance Archery, Revolution Arrow Saw. Check it out: www.lastchancearchery.com
Which arrows do you hunt with
Wow. Thanks.
Ty Sir
You don’t spine align your arrows???
The 🐐
Do you do spine indexing?
Does that jig do 4 vane set ups?
how awesome is this free knowledge ??? :)
What is your overall arrow weight?
Should you spine or nock index before you fletch?
I'm sure he does spine index, it's not as huge of a deal when using target/field points as it is with larger surface area points like broadheads.
How do you consistently locate the spines?
Is this also his 3d setup?
Can you unglue tips to add weight to the tip?
Nope
You can get them out buy dropping a small rod or even a drill bit inside and slinging it in a hammer fashion. It will break the glue free after a few times and usually doesnt damage a thing.
You can from the nock side of the arrow if you don’t super glue it in. That’s why he talked about cool melt glue instead of super glue for the nock bushing
gold tip sells a long hex wrench so you can remove the nock and change the tip weights
I don’t glue my nocks unless they are real loose.
can we get a name for that fletching machine
Been there done that in between clicks lol
The arrow modèle please ?
What jig is that
No wonder he's a successful Archer... Look at the blokes ears!! He's half elven
The arrow model please ?
Do you knock tune your arrows for spine alignment? Is this something you find important for accuracy?
If you all have not seen a documentary called.. it's worse than you think.... By revelations of Jesus Christ ministries..... I suggest you do. All praise and glory to the most high Jesus Christ
Guarantee that vane isnt stuck in the middle
The jig sucks especially for tac vanes, there's not enough pressure to fully seat
Question, some people put the arrow before fletching it in water to find the heavy side of the arrow and mark it so all the light side of arrow is oriented up for consistency. Do you do this step?
What is the foc of that arrow build
