Me to. Representing Christ I don't see that happening. I respect him a lot. I've learnt so much from him. Check out his center serving video. Game changing.. No more serving seperation
Practice is the biggest thing that ever helped me, I don't travel to shoots so the cover is largely the same for me at all the shoots. Even shooting a bag at different ranges, reps, get your reps in.
Levi thank you......I had shoulder surgery a year ago and I'm just now getting back into shooting but I too struggled in my competitions judging yardage and your explanations helped me understand so much better and I'm 69 so you have helped this old man. Thanks again
Every time I hear you describe your process I am always impressed You make it sound easy I know it is not lol Do local 3D shoots and at 64 my eyes are not what they used to be lol But I go out and shoot and try to learn something each time Thanks for the tips I will be trying them to see if it helps especially when the rangefinder is not getting readings for what ever reason Thanks again And good luck this season JimR
Great video! Hearing one of the best break it down changes everything for me. I use the range finder because I lack the confidence in thinking it's all about judging distance. It is about decision making.....thank you for helping this process!
Years ago in the Texas panhandle the clubs all shot unknown. Like five clubs then the attendance fell off so bad there’s no clubs. So about 8 years ago the guys that I know here that go to ASA all went to known because there wasn’t a place to practice unknown. You gotta be able to afford a few of these super expensive 3-d targets and have some acreage to do it at least halfway right for the unknown class. It’s a whole different ball game and to me it was great. 👍👍 Levi for sharing your thoughts. Especially for the newer players.
I just had bale targets for 20 years shooting 10 20 and 30 yards. For me a tip that helps me too is observing the large structure behind it and guessing what that backwall max is. If I judge a tree 20 inches in diameter at 35 and a deer is going to walk right in front of it, giving me a shot, it'll be a 30 yard shot. Also like you said practicing so much sometimes it's just good to take a break day and let your mind relax. Sit in a chair and go fishing for a day. Come back the next day and trust your practice and insticts.
I do the exact same thing! Stand up there say the farthest I think it could be and the closest I think it could be Usually a 3-4 yard window. Work from there to find the exact number that makes the most sense then make an aggressive shot to my final number and take a 5 because I was 4 yards off 👍🏻👍🏻 It’s not that hard guys 🎉
I move my targets constantly, & I never touch a rangefinder all summer while practicing. That's all part of the practice in my opinion. Most anyone can hit the target at known distances, but can you hit that big buck when he finally offers a shot while being pulled back already.
So many similarities to professional golf. I don’t run into many hunters on out there and When I tell them archery is like golf they look at me sideways
Good morning, Sir. God bless. Hope you and your family are well. I was wondering if you were at the Great outdoors show in PA shooting 3d on Saturday morning, Sir.
If anyone else made this video, I'd call BS that he didn't already know the yardages. With Levi, I believe him. I don't think he can lie.
I was about to comment the same thing

@archerash6695 I will do that. Thank you sir.
How many world titles does he have? Fair to say everything he says is gospel. Wish there was a Morgan when I was younger 😂
The sniper of all archers
From a competition standpoint, unknown yardage seems like it would be much more fun than known yardage.
Love the breakdown. Keep Unknown alive!
this is easily one of, if not the best video on the mental side of judging, I've ever seen.
The content we need! Appreciate the insight
When Levi talks, you should listen. Always great advice from one of the best to ever do it.
This was pure gold. Thank you.
Bro I appreciate you and thank you for taking the time out of your day to share your knowledge.
Great video Levi! Always enjoy listening to you share your knowledge. You’re a great ambassador for the sport!

I've saved this video to watch it many times again. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and insight!
Content is excellent. Keep it coming
Judging explained at its best. Helped me a lot. Thanks for the video.👍
Great video. It was very interesting to learn your method of yardage judgment. Thanks you!

Thanks for the tips

And good luck this season

Enjoyed this. Thanks Levi 👍🏼
Man !!! That’s freaking cool !!! Loved this video
Ton of great information! Going into my first season of unknown, I’ll take every little knowledge nugget I can get.
Would've been fun to watch you shoot these targets as you explained the process

Thanks Levi! Your the man!
Great video thanks for sharing the knowledge.
Thanks Levi, never thought of it this way
This is a great information. I’ve wondered what was going through competitors minds.
Valuable info, thanks for sharing 👊

I know a guy that makes a journal that is great for those note keeping tips. Builds a database that gives you the ability to look back at it.
Great information!
Great stuff!
Best UA-cam archery channel.
This is awesome and I don’t compete but this makes me want to start
Great video
Damn bro, you're good! Like really good! "Not 40.1, it's 40.0" .....lol. Very informative breakdown. Thanks Levi!
This is the content we want! Now can you do one about becoming a better shot or something to do with getting better
Making Fayette proud lol one of the only good things that came from here lol keep winning brother
That’s for the video brother.
awesome video
I find the middle of the distance, that is, I divide it in half approximately and then measure half and multiply by 2.
Leave it to Levi to say he isn’t a range finder and then go out and judge two targets perfectly 😂 G.O.A.T
I do the exact same thing!
Stand up there say the farthest I think it could be and the closest I think it could be

DO THE MATH! Thanks Levi. It comes down to a game of averages when you look at it!
Can you do a video about ranging live game? I think there's a big difference because time is a big factor on game.
First lite needs to send that man a new coat.
When you deer hunt do you use a range finder?? 🤔🤔
What range finder do you use?
This guy makes awesome shots. That is why he is the best. Team Mathews.
I tend to be about 10 yards off with my guess, my window is like 25 yards wide
So many similarities to professional golf. I don’t run into many hunters on out there and When I tell them archery is like golf they look at me sideways
Levi, will you be doing a LIFT build?
Do you use the same methods in a hunting scenario where you don't have time to get your range finder out?
Been called a human range finder always practice with bedded buck at 30 bear on all fours at 40 elk at 50
Why does it have to be McCarthy shooting him in the leg? LMAO. Great stuff Levi.
bwahahahha Dan shoots it in the leg lol Great video
That first lite jacket doesn't look to durable with that rip in the sleeve lol
😂😂😂
I couldn't have explained it better myself 😂
Course management, sounds a lot like golf
I'll challenge ya! 😂 I'll lose I'm sure it'll be fun though
‼️‼️
"Step 1: Be able to tell how far away things are by looking at them. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk."
How important is 1/2 yardage?
For my setup shoot 295 fps. A half yard at 40-50 is about a 1/2”
@@jacobm922 right on thanks
@@jacobm922 1/2 can mean a lot
Levi you right your is 30 my is 40 I get 40 in my Brain everyday day and go off that I walk up and look is it 40 and go off that
Fun fact: The logo on your hat is almost identical to the AA logo. Someone screwed up. 😂
PS and make good shoot
Rangin in hills or mountains is another world.
Just imagine if you could have a catty in unknown . Lol
Good morning, Sir. God bless. Hope you and your family are well. I was wondering if you were at the Great outdoors show in PA shooting 3d on Saturday morning, Sir.
40 on the money😂😂😭
Manimal
Lol😅
Or pray to god your yardage is right 😂😅
Can't hurt
Thank you, I imagine confidence is also relevant.
