My favorite game of the U.S show would have to be "Newsflash." Especially the ones where Collin is the reporter. Gives very consistent laughter throughout. They are pretty short though so that's up to you. I hope you have a peaceful day tomorrow.

Het Brit...Another game I'll bet you would love (And is a great at home drinking/party game) is called "Questions only"....There are two different versions, and many examples of both, but the rules of the game is you can only speak in questions.

Colin's job in these sketches is to think of how to respond to the others' lines, while still trying to stay on topic. To me, it's just as entertaining as as the other two.
Ryan and Colin started working together doing the BBC version With Clive Anderson as the host! So they were literally there when this show was a brand new concept. They helped bring the show to the United States.
One of my favorite games they played was "Song Titles/Film Titles", where two of them act out a scene while only speaking in song or film titles, whichever they're doing at the time. They go back and forth and if one of them gets stumped, they're buzzed out and someone else picks up where they left off.
These guys have a talent....man, it's hard to emulate. This show truly pushed the boundaries of comedy. Every episode is gold, and some are truly fantastic. Once is a lifetime funny. Anyways, all the best. Cheers.

Two of my personal faves are kinda similar in rules, but different in narrative. I forget what they are called, but one is a dating game where the contestant has to figure out the roles of the other comedians vying for the guesses affection. The other is where one comedian is acting as host to a party while figuring out the other comedians' roles as they show up and cause mayhem inside the scene. Another one I like is where they pretend to do the news, but this time they know each other's roles and just try selling the weather, sports, and other reports as their roles.

It's so great to see someone react to something that's not "scenes from a hat", "things you can say about your blank, but not your girlfriend", "hoedown" or "Irish drinking song". Those are pretty much the only ones people recommend to reactors :( My favourites are Sound Effects (with audience members, not Ryan doing them for Colin), Moving Bodies, Living Scenery, Two Line Vocabulary, Questions Only, Newsflash, Film Dub and Narrate. At least that I can think of at the top of my head (so basically anything EXCEPT the ones everyone do reaction videos to, lol).
I love the game where Colin stands behind Ryan and acts as his hands. I think its called No Hands, but not sure. It is hilarious though. Great reaction!! 😊
From what I understand, the performers actually only got together for maybe two or three weekends per year, where they would tape numerous episodes. This explains why they are seen wearing the same outfits at times. Also, only having to travel to the studio a few times would save them money, as they wouldn't have to travel back and forth between episodes.
There are episodes of Ryan wearing long sleeve shirts with a tie. Colin usually has similar shirts on. Check out Newsflash, Newscasters, Song Styles (highlights Wayne's vocals), and Sound effects (especially with the old ladies!!) . All are comedy gold!
There is also a game on it called 'Newsflash. It is a game where there is a screen only viewable by the audience and some of the actors. One actor (usually Colin) is oblivious to the contents of the screen and is attempting to be a news anchor reporting the events behind him only going off ques given to him by his cohosts.

I host an Easter dinner that requires you to participate in an improve game to eat. Everyone loves it and our house is like a set of "Whose line" .. it's a blast.
My favorite game was "Three-Headed Broadway Star," where Colin, Ryan, and a third person are given the title of an imaginary Broadway play, and they have to make up a song from that play... taking turns, one word at a time.
Ryan, Colin, and Wayne all worked together on the original UK version of the show. Drew Carey hosted the last season or two of the UK version and was the real champion to get the US version of the show made! And each of them did have a sort of signature look. Ryan usually wore both loud (colorful) shirts as well as shoes. There's even a running joke about his shoes.
They dressed the way that they wanted to as long as the producer or anyone with the show didn't object. These guys were just masters at improv! They had a very small budget for this show. Initially the studio wanted young and beautiful actors to be on the show. But a lot of the young actors weren't able to keep up! Lol. Not to mention they weren't able to pay the big bucks that these actors wanted. Lol. They really only worked on this show.... I think 3 or 4 days a month .....doing several shows in one day.

Greatest Hits oftentimes shows how crazy talented Wayne is. Three Headed Broadway Star is a good game, especially the ones with Collin or Drew. Moving People, Questions Only, and Newsflash are also games to check out. It's hard to suggest just one, because they're all so good. You might consider reacting to a full episode and break it into parts so that you don't miss the funny callbacks they make from earlier games in the show (for example Collin's Meowing in Irish Drinking Song you saw but wasn't sure what it was about).

It is from Canada, set in Canada and many but not all of the regular actors are from Canada. In many episodes, they have s guest who is an historical person. Episode 1 has Nicola Tesla, there's one with a very young Winston Churchill, William Shatner plays Mark Twain, Arthur Connan Doyle (author of the Sherlock Holmes stories), Helen Keller . . . and the list goes on and on. In fact, I think Colin Mochrie (who is Canadian btw) is in the episode with Helen Keller. Of course, all characters are in period costumes and are much more formal in most situations than in present times. It's a serious show with some comedic undertones. So, Colin's character is a serious guy but he is funny as he is going about his thing. There's lots of YT videos showing the actors talking about their roles on the show and other issues. Ever since I've found this show, I've pretty much been obsessed with it. The show is very good and has fans all over the world! It is very big in China and, apparently, huge in France aming others. I think it's the most successful show ever in Canada 🇨🇦 and they are on their 17th season! 😮 The show can be seen on Acorn but also on Hulu and some other channels. It's free on sone so do some searching. Colin is not on until about season 9 or 10 or so. Sorry??! 😅 Hope you enjoy it! 😂❤

There are so many games on the show; Scenes from a hat, Props, Date Show, 2 Lines, The Hoe Down, Drinking Songs, Sound Effects, Masks, Human Puppets, Secret, Phrasing, Voice Over, can't remember the name, but IT featured Ryan and Colin (ROLIN) doing imaginary missions, Directing, Helping Hands, In The Box (another version of Props, but ROLIN has to sell the items), Greatest Hits, Only Questions, Weird Newscasters, Duet, Let's make a Date, and Party Quirks (which Ryan cut his head while nearly setting himself on fire playing Carol Channing) also check out the Crack Head Beaver!
It's they're own styles; but remember, they did 2-4 hour shows, hence why there are multiple episodes of them wearing the same stuff, and the running gags, that appear sprinkled sporadically throughout. Example: Colin's Captain Hair, named in the terrible superhero skit, is later used mockingly at him, for the rest of the day. I'm in the UK, so WLIIAW was actually a British show, transplanted by Ryan (who he and Colin were both stars here at the time) transplanted it with his friend Drew (as the Drew Carey show had most of the WLIIAW stars in it, as it was a improv series) when the initial run ended in the US, Drew made Improv-A-Ganza (with the same stars again)
You should check out when they sing the Irish drinking songs and the ho-downs. They have to keep a beat, make a rime and wor off of what the person before them said all while following a theme.
Great games on Whose line include: - News/Sportscasters - where Colin would be a news anchor, then the 4th non- permanent improver would be the co-anchor with a given personality, Ryan would be the weatherman with a given personality and Wayne the Sports anchor with a given. personality. - Infomercial - Colin & Ryan are presenters on an infomercial for a new product and they have a bunch of random props that they somehow have to relate to the product. - Questions only - Two of them start with the other two standing off to either side. They can only speak with questions. If they hesitate or say something that isn't a question. They get buzzed out and one of the ones standing to the side comes in. I could name so many more. But I'll stop at those three.
Two Line Vocabulary is a great game for sure! Questions only is another of my fav but when they do the News Forcast with Colin as the anchor, it's hilarious and another favorite thing I watch on the show. :)

Wayne did forget his lines one time. He used Ryan's lines until Drew when "Ahem" and showed him the card with his proper lines to get Wayne back on track. I think they teased him after that for having a great memory.
yes it would be hard to remember the 2 lines, but these are professionals so they are pretty good at remembering. Not always, there are episodes and skits where they forget who, where, etc they are suppose to be and that causes funny stuff also. Not often, but it happens. I think i remember a skit where Ryan confused the movies ET with CLOSE ENCOUNTERS, or something like that.
if you look up "The Tale of The 1000 Running Gag Taping" you will see why he was actually pissed off about the nose joke... well it's not in the video but basically it's a running gag like them always making Collin the female in the skit...

There are so many games on the show; Scenes from a hat, Props, Date Show, 2 Lines, The Hoe Down, Drinking Songs, Sound Effects, Masks, Human Puppets, Secret, Phrasing, Voice Over, can't remember the name, but IT featured Ryan and Colin (ROLIN) doing imaginary missions, Directing, Helping Hands, In The Box (another version of Props, but ROLIN has to sell the items), Greatest Hits, Only Questions, Weird Newscasters, Duet, Let's make a Date, and Party Quirks (which Ryan cut his head while nearly setting himself on fire playing Carol Channing) also check out the Crack Head Beaver!

The less shown game, "whose line" can be hilarious as well.
Game is also known as “How to drive Colin crazy”. Lol
That was the style during that particular time. Also, the entire season was shot in like 2 or 3 days if I'm not mistaken.
It's they're own styles; but remember, they did 2-4 hour shows, hence why there are multiple episodes of them wearing the same stuff, and the running gags, that appear sprinkled sporadically throughout. Example: Colin's Captain Hair, named in the terrible superhero skit, is later used mockingly at him, for the rest of the day.
I'm in the UK, so WLIIAW was actually a British show, transplanted by Ryan (who he and Colin were both stars here at the time) transplanted it with his friend Drew (as the Drew Carey show had most of the WLIIAW stars in it, as it was a improv series) when the initial run ended in the US, Drew made Improv-A-Ganza (with the same stars again)

You should check out when they sing the Irish drinking songs and the ho-downs. They have to keep a beat, make a rime and wor off of what the person before them said all while following a theme.

Great games on Whose line include:
- News/Sportscasters - where Colin would be a news anchor, then the 4th non- permanent improver would be the co-anchor with a given personality, Ryan would be the weatherman with a given personality and Wayne the Sports anchor with a given. personality.
- Infomercial - Colin & Ryan are presenters on an infomercial for a new product and they have a bunch of random props that they somehow have to relate to the product.
- Questions only - Two of them start with the other two standing off to either side. They can only speak with questions. If they hesitate or say something that isn't a question. They get buzzed out and one of the ones standing to the side comes in.
I could name so many more. But I'll stop at those three.
Two Line Vocabulary is a great game for sure! Questions only is another of my fav but when they do the News Forcast with Colin as the anchor, it's hilarious and another favorite thing I watch on the show. :)

Ryan and Colin are best friends and throughout the show they always take shots at each other, Colin joking about Ryan’s big nose and Ryan going at Colin being bald. It’s too great. They are the best team and I hope you react to the best of Colin and Ryan. 😊
Yes! They usually do this game with Ryan and Brad saying the lines. The running joke is this game should be called ‘How to raise Colin’s blood pressure’ 😂
You should do Who's Line outtakes. It's so funny.
We played that game in the improv class I took in college. It's actually much harder than it looks.
To me it doesn't look easy at all, so if you tell me it's harder than it looks, I believe you!
Wayne did forget his lines one time. He used Ryan's lines until Drew when "Ahem" and showed him the card with his proper lines to get Wayne back on track. I think they teased him after that for having a great memory.
yes it would be hard to remember the 2 lines, but these are professionals so they are pretty good at remembering. Not always, there are episodes and skits where they forget who, where, etc they are suppose to be and that causes funny stuff also. Not often, but it happens. I think i remember a skit where Ryan confused the movies ET with CLOSE ENCOUNTERS, or something like that.
Wait until you see Ryan and Colin and Wayne do that singing game

if you look up "The Tale of The 1000 Running Gag Taping" you will see why he was actually pissed off about the nose joke... well it's not in the video but basically it's a running gag like them always making Collin the female in the skit...
This is definitely my favorite game, you should definitely check out more playings of it! Not a single one was even mediocre.
Another fun game where what they can say is limited, is Song Titles. They can only speak using song titles.
I don’t like game shows…but this show was a comedy show. Talented and hilarious!
