I hope you get to see when Robin Williams appeared on the show, especially the “Hollywood Directors” skit 👍😆
And when he was on Carol Burnett, The Funeral
@@TheRealMirCat… No matter what show Robin appeared on, the script (if there was one) would get thrown out & he would just “wing it”, making the show even funnier 😆😆😆. Damn I miss him, just like his legions of fans do ✋️🥺🕊️
Also scenes from a hat with Robin Williams
@@rulebs… Absolutely ANYTHING with Robin in it, especially this particular show where he totally stole the show 👍😆
Probably the funniest 22 minutes of comedy ever put on tv
Both Ryan and Colin have said that this is one of the most memorable episodes they've ever done in all the time they've been on Whose Line.
Part of the magic of this clip is that you can see the performers taking delight by inflicting Richard on each other. And Colin sneaking a quick cigarette after riding his “jetski” always gets me too.
They've been on the England show also.
For them to say this is their favorite says a lot
@@TomKrochock That and Richard understood the assignment, played along and had actually fun with it. Once the game started he was dialed in - his head movements when he did the jetski is the hallmark of someone who has a sense of humor, came to play and RELISHED in the laughter without worrying whether or not it was at his expense.
Richard is an absolute gem of a human being. He's a lot, that's for sure, but all of his energy truly comes from a place of love. I know he's been very reclusive to say the least for quite a few years, but I wish him well and hope he is doing okay.
I mean the man is quite up there in years now, and we don't really know his current health state. So, being reclusive seems about right for a person of his celebrity. Even if most Gen Z'ers probably have never heard of him except maybe in a Tik Tok or something lol
He was treated for skin cancer not to long ago. But seems to just be living his life.
Ryan breaking the neon sign with his head is another one that will make you cry with laughter. The genuine concern of the other comics and then the way Ryan stays in character is hilarious.
That's when his head kept sticking to things. I remember that very well
The art of comedy improv is not asking "what will be funny for the audience?" but rather "what will utterly destroy the other performers?"
Yes and 101 you don’t reject LOL
Richard is still alive, but he's been a hermit for a number of years.
crab
I think he recently gave his opinion on a possible biopic about him where his part would be played by Pauly Shore. It wasn't exactly a favourable one.
Pauly Shore even did a short film "The Court Jester" that has Pauly as Richard Simmons! He looks just like him!
@@bluebear1985 No, it was not a favorable one. He was pissed. But you got to hand it to Pauly, he gave his all. (I recently saw his one man show, Stick with the Dancing, at the Arlington (Texas) Music Hall and I thoroughly enjoyed myself listening to his stories and huge name drops.
For a good reason.
First time I saw Richard bobbing his head as a jet-ski... I'm pretty sure I never laughed harder in my life. Then when he snuggled with Wayne, holy hell, I was in agony from laughing.
Yes, you need to do more of these. "Tapioca" is a must if you want to see Colin just destroy Ryan.
Heck, you should deep dive some of the old British episodes!
One of the greatest TV show moments of all time. If there was a Hall of Fame for TV segments, this would be in it.
Other super funny moments that immediately come to mind are "Quacking Elephants", "The Cat", "Africa is a continent" and "Ryan gets hurt"
Oh my god, the quacking elephants! I forgot about that one! 🤣
I would add the Hitler episode to this list.
The CAT! lol
How about the outtakes....
Ryan gets hurt is one of the funniest as well.
Richard Simmons was on that episode, earlier too. That's why the welcome back.
yep this was the 2nd skit they did with him in it, he did one earlier in the show that's why when he came out he said thanks for having me back. Don't remember what the first skit was everyone just remembers this one.
For those who don't know: Richard Simmons was a big exercise host celebrity back in the early to mid 1990s. People could buy videocassettes, and later DVDs, of his exercise routines that he would walk them through, and work out at home. Richard Simmons specifically is best known for "Sweatin' to the Oldies" where he would lead people through aerobic exercises to music, although I never watched any myself, so I don't know any specific songs. He did additional other programs and methods as well, but like I said, "Sweatin to the oldies' is what he was best known for.
My mom and i used to do it. It was the best way to keep her a little active after she had her ankle operated on and it healed some. We never pushed and she knew i was doing it for her (i was anorexic)
It was fun and he really did help so many people - and with a smile 😊
80's is when I watched, Sweatin' came out later [his act II as it were], such an Icon.
I used to own several of the VCR tapes. They were easy to comprehend and Richard ALWAYS made them fun!
He also used normal people trying to lose weight in his videos and on his show - and that included overweight people instead of fitness models.
Hey Britt, you watched one part of a six-sketch episode. It starts with "Multiple Personalities" (which doesn't include Richard, but incorporates his personality), then "News Flash" (which doesn't include Richard, but has video footage of him in the background), then "Song Styles" (which Richard comes running out to the stage as their special guest), after that "Living Scenery" (which is the one you watched), then "Moving People" (also including Richard), and finally a reading of the "End Credits" (once again with Richard). Hilarious episode! Find the whole 30-minute episode (21 without commercials), and definitely check it out. I also highly recommend the Robin Williams episode (s3e09) and the Whoopi Goldberg episode (s5e01) as well!
Richard is so far out there. He just resurfaced 1 -2024, alive.
Personally I think their "Improbable Mission: Laundry" (also fondly known as "THE CAT!") is one of their most hilarious performances.
"Give me the beans."
The cat's wet now!
That's a good one but wrong name in bed irish drinking song is my favorite. They laugh so hard they couldn't fully complete the game and even Laura Hall starts missing notes. Also party quirks where Ryan is Carol Channing but his head keeps sticking to me is great. Finally what's in the bag where Ryan maced himself. They had to stop playing that game after that and another mishap.
@@shadowprince4482 Yes, those are all good ones as well. It's fair to say that they've had many memorable moments over the years.
The burnoose is wet lol. Ryan losing it always cracks me up.
I laughed so hard I cried, my favorite episode.
Richard Simmons is an absolute treasure.
They maintain it's not rehearsed and they break character to laugh quite often, this is why these peeps are improv legends ;)
Wayne being paralyzed with laughter during the jet ski part is killing me. Ryan looking away and Drew rolling. 🤣
Richard Simmons is a rainbow of happiness.
I remember when this hit the air. I was literally rolling on the floor laughing my head off! It was so good!
For real! I could barely breathe!
If you're watching whose line you have to watch some of their hoedowns, a must
And Irish drinking songs,, those are the best
I think some of my favorites are scenes from a hat, the game where 2 of the players only get 2 lines to say over and maybe sound fx
Isn't it bad enough that we had to suffer through the hoedowns the first time?
Going bald hoe down
Going bald hoe down
When i was a little kid, my mom used to do his workouts. He came to Portland for a health expo and we got to meet him. He was the sweetest!!
This was one of the funniest bits they ever did!!
These guys are improv masters. Plus so many years working together.
I don't think I've ever clicked on a video faster than when I saw this thumbnail!! 😂😂 Hands down the funniest episode of this show EVER!!!
Keep going on the Who's Line... This show is a treasure and they'll always have you in stitches 😂😂😂
This is the best episode ever. Richard Simmons is still alive a recluse at the age of 75
Hard to believe that Richard weighed 268 lbs at his heaviest. What a turn around. Just amazing 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Richard is still alive I'm very happy to say. Back in the 90s I was the producer of a morning show and Richard was one of our guests one day and he came in and smelt my hairspray said that it smelt like grapes and proceeded to put my hair in his mouth. Then he went down the hallway and saw that the host who also had a perm and yelled oh wow we have the same hair!!!! I almost peed myself😂😂😂
It has been way too long since I watched this episode! My stomach hurts from laughing! I will always love Richard!!! He just makes your heart smile! Richard if you see this, you sir will always be loved ❤😂
I so wanted you to see this. My grown daughter and I will watch this every once in a while and cry laughing
Richard comes out at the beginning and Wayne sings him a song. Hopefully you can find that clip. That’s why Richard says at the beginning thanks for letting me comeback because he was out once already.
Girlfriend is in tears, you had me hollerin!😂
4:25 When Colin says "get the shiny one," you see Greg in the background completely shut down.
i love his line at the end, lol. "I'm just so happy!"
I fell on the floor laughing so hard when I got up I had 6 pack abs
This is one of the few shows where there isn’t a single bad episode - every single one is hilarious - the Whose Line Is It Anyway with Drew Carey as the host I mean
OMG this is one of the funniest episodes ever. I saw this when it first aired! Richard was fantastic, just a great human being and having a great time. The entire studio was in stitches...
So good!
He's still alive. And for the record, he's always been over the top. It's his personality.
ALL… TIME… CLASSIC ✋️😂🤚
I remember when he guest starred on an episode of Johnny Bravo as Johnny’s childhood bully, Little Richie Simmons.
This is definitely up there as one of the best moments from the show.
They did a full show with Robin Williams that is definitely worth checking out.
The show is 100% improv..... They are all just very good at what they do.
Love your reaction. Richard is a trip. He's helped so many people and truly cares about them. I love him.
Shout out Richard Simmons. Motivated millions of people to get fit the healthy way; with diet and exercise. A well deserved legacy. I hope you are happy and healthy sir. God bless.
I appreciate your candor. You laughing tears. Life should be fun, so thanks for sharing in your fun with us.
I was crying so hard laughing at this! My gut was about to burst, my face was cramping, my breath was nearly gone from my lungs, and I was close to throwing up from laughing too hard! It was all totally worth it!!!
The ENTIRE audience was rolling
It's amazing how quick these guys are, and I absolutely loved this show. Loving enjoying these with you!
Richard Sim!one disappeared from the public eye a few years back. His studio quietly closed and a few years later there was a very quick video on his Facebook showing the beach... It was maybe 3-3 seconds long.
He is now 75 years old and has led a completely incognito life lately.
Hoping he's just living his best life taking a well earned rest.
I mean, he made his money and he had a great run at doing what he loved. He earned his down time and I wish him nothing but the best. He was an icon when I was growing up. Good for him. I wouldn't want to be in the spotlight forever either (or at all to be honest).
I'm just so happy...
My fav episode ever!
Best skit of all time!!!!!
hands down the funniest segment of US whose line history
This is the most hilarious episode with Richard Simmons, the whole audience was laughing so hard, this will go down in history. I've only seen this once but it was so funny haha. This was totally improv.
The one with Wayne and female bodybuilder Jayne Trcka is also hilarious.
I told you before, the greatest moment in TV history. Bar none.
I guarantee Britt watched this more than once 😅 1 of the funniest things I've ever seen on Who's Line Is It Anyway 😂
"Film Noir" is my top favorite game on that show.
I've been binging compilations this past week.
I really enjoyed watchig you laughing at this 100% accurate histerically funny clip, i watched that on tv when it was aired and i had to hold my laugh until the end 'cause there was no pause it, still makes me laugh as hard as i can, but what won my heart is you saying "i'm bare face..." YOU ARE GORGEOUS and i date say you don't need any makeup, makeup needs you.
This is the first reaction i see from you, gonna subscribe and watch more from you, cheers!!!!
Great reaction!❤ Richard was a natural comedian. We loved him and I was skinny & young back in the 80s and 90s. But i had a bunch of his vcr "dancing to the oldies" tapes. Love Richard!❤
Yup still kicking at 75 years old..!!
I remember watching this for the first time. I have never laughed so hard at anything, ever. I was laughing hard right along with you, even though I’ve seen this skit several times! And All these guys were such good sports. Truly great stuff.
i seen this about 5 7 times and it alwaysssss make me crack up best episode ever like you said this wouldnt be allowed in today tv as to many be complaining about rubbish bring back old gems like this got tears watching thank u from london
I used to tape and watch Who's Line in the morning just before heading off to Uni, it always put me in a great mood to start the day. Let me tell you that the morning I watched this episode before heading off to school, I was cackling! And then all day I would randomly burst out laughing like a donkey in class. Best day ever 😅
I used to watch this show almost every week! 🤣😭😂 Obviously, I missed a week because I'd never seen this with Richard Simmons! Hysterically funny! I used to sit and watch this and laugh til I was crying and my stomach hurt! They're just all so clever and quick. I just found out by reading some of the comments that the entire series is on MAX. I'm going to go back and watch these since it's been so long and I know I missed a lot. 😮 I'm sure if this was still on ABC, it would have been cancelled a long time ago. I'm glad it's still out there gor anyone to find. People were not so touchy back in the 90's as they are now. Or maybe they were but they didn't tell anybody. Either way, comedy would die if people couldn't say things spontaneously like they do on this show. Thankfully, it's still going but I haven't seen it in years. I'll check it out to see how that's going. Thanks for your reaction, Britt. I knew you'd like it. Your deadpan looks had me rolling! 🤣😂😀
One of my favourite games is called "helping hands". Ryan and Colin do it with whoever the special guest is. There's likely a compilation of that. Anything with Ryan and Colin together is usually great. They play so well off of each other
"NEVER REHEARSED."😅
Good call to do this one bare faced as you said. It wouldve been a mess and a distraction for you. Great video! Great reaction! I have always lived this show. Collin and Ryan are absolutely hilarious and I think this might be at the top if the list as which bit js the funniest. Collin smoking after the jetski was perfect! He knew what he was doing lol
Lmao that has to be a record! He got Britt crying within seconds. Good thing you upgraded your concealer catcher, cause those old napkins weren’t gonna cut it. 😂
It really is the funniest bit I ever saw on that show (which is saying something cause there’s been some hilarious sketches). I don’t think I ever saw a crowd react like that. Just pure comedy gold. And Wayne was definitely not ok. 😂😂 I’m convinced Colin and Ryan caught on cause they dragged him right into it at the end. Lmaoo
I found this show way back and recorded it on VHS back in the day. We had a party at my house and people were dying laughing. I never saw this one before. It is such a great show.
So there are some guest comedians that will come onto the show as the honorary 4th member of the improvisers and stay throughout the recording (like Greg Proops in this episode, Chip Eston, Jeff Davis, Kathy Griffin, Keagan Michael Key...even Whoopie Goldberg and Robin Williams would stay a whole episode as a guest comedian) and then there are other special guests who will come out for only a game or two (like Richard Simmons, David Hasselhoff, Bill Nye, the Loyola Marymount University cheerleaders, Lassie the dog, Darren Criss, and female bodybuilder Jane Tricker).
Yes! This has to be one the best skits they have ever done.
It's absolutely wonderful to see you laughing
I remember exercising to a Richard Simmons cassette tape way back when. At the end, he talked you through cool down and, laying on the floor, he would say how you did a great job and that he's proud of you. I'd cry like a baby. You just felt loved. ❤
He’s an angel on this earth ❤
There is so much of this show you can watch on the internet. Soooo many good scenes and clips. 🙂
Thanks to whom ever suggested this for you. Loved your reaction girl.
To this day, this clip is the absolute hardest I've EVER heard my dad laugh - and he is a VERY tough laugh to get.
all these great comedians that have come through this show, and Richard Simmons was without a doubt the best guest they had.
I saw this when it first aired and was completely floored in laughter and tears!
YOUR JOY WATCHING THIS.... HI-LARIOUS. Being that the show is all improv, there's nothing preplanned. The rule is to lean into everything/ say yes.... And trust: Wayne has no problems with anything.
He’s one of those people who made so many people happy and smile. I hope he’s doing ok. I hope someone made him smile.
I saw this live when I was a kid
Never saw someting funnier since!
Who line put the bare so high for funny in my life
The bit with the jet ski at 6:34 was the funniest ever Whose Line moment. Wayne Brady was genuinely laughing at 6:48. 🤣
6:36 when she got that.. that face is just.... priceless xD
Richard was also, as they say, Obese. He started the weight loss young and back in the day nobody really knew about nutrition. He's a gem. One of the greats that will be missed alongside Mr Rogers.
The second I saw that you were reacting to this clip, I knew the water works were coming. Just look at the audiences reaction, this is probably the funniest non scripted segments EVER filmed. I was lucky enough to find the whole episode online and the entire thing is just as good, lol.
It makes me so happy to see people watch and love Who’s Line for the first time. It’s in the top 3 comedy shows for me, along with impractical jokers, and Psych. The show ended in 2007 and it came back in 2013 ( and still going ) with a new host, and it’s just as funny as the one hosted by Drew. Ps, the original Who’s Line was in the UK before it came to America with Drew hosting
I used to watch this show all the time. This was definitely the best segment ever 😂😂😂
If you all are wondering where Richard Simmon is. He's like 75 and retired from his work. Yes he's still alive and doing well. He is just doing his life and relaxing in the leisure in his home... not sure when is he coming back to do some work though. Usually men around 60s or 70s retire from filming or work.
No apologies! I can't get through an episode without howling and laughing to tears!
Good improv is when everyone is on board and yes and.. Richard Simmons went in 100% thats why it was so good. No hesitation.. this is master class lol its extremely hard to do
The Lunch Lady episode is a must Wayne kills it
I've seen this so many times and my jaw still hurts from laughing 😂
One of the best things about Whose Line is that the audience is always in on the inside jokes, too. A lot of it comes from the banter between games.
So glad you finally got to this one!! Every time I need a good laugh this is always a must watch.
Simmons was also on Letterman at one point, and there was *so* much shade flying around in that episode. It was epic.
What combination did you think you would never see? "Whose Line", Richard Simmons, and a 'church towel.
Oh my god there’s an even dirtier joke in there somewhere, but I’m not clever enough to find it 😂
♥ this show! So funny! 😃
The funniest episode in my opinion.
