I admit I don't watch the show much, but it seems like the only kid that treats any adult that way is the last one you'd expect: Boruto who calls Sakura and Sasuke his aunt and uncle. And that's without knowing the long history between them and his parents. So I can only figure that Hinata felt sorry for Sakura sitting at home alone and invited her to dinner a lot, so the kids got to know her. Still kinda pissed that the kids aren't closer to Tsunade, though. Or that Sarada hasn't once shown any interest in the only female Hokage.
All these easy connections that they refuse to make only hurts the show.

I don’t know about you guys but it’s kind of sad realizing that for the most part naruto isn’t really good friends with a lot of the old characters anymore. There’s this instance with kiba and also in the earlier episodes metal lee had no idea who boruto was. It just goes to show you that even in naruto there’s a thing called growing up and unfortunately that means deviating responsibilities and the sacrifice of former friendships no matter how much you want to hold on to them. To naruto now, it’s just him and his family. In a way that makes me happy because that’s all he’s wanted but at the same time I can’t help but feel sad because In a way he’s had to let go of the people who made him feel loved and accepted. Sad man.

I dont see any reason why you cant still spend time with your friends and your old family only because you got a wife and kids.
CyberLance26 I think it’s mainly because when you spend a lot of time apart from friends you just kind of convince yourself that they don’t really need you around. I can definitely see that being narutos case. Also a lot of people by the time they have kids are just burnt out and that’s not even including the work he has to do being hokage.

Sir Illuminar The Valient I think there’s a misconception because naruto for all intensive purposes was close with the other ninja. He never spent too much time with them persay but it was heavily implied that he considered them his best friends. That’s why whenever he talked about friendship every single one of them showed up. Sure he was closer to team 7 but he was also close to his other friends in the sense that he discussed hard topics with them like the disposal of sasuke and etc he trusted them with his life and no doubt would have died for them if he had to.

Since the first series, Kiba has always shared a friendly rivalry with Naruto and made it clear that he wanted to be Hokage as well. He never gave up on that goal throughout Shippūden, striving to surpass Naruto and admitted he wanted to be like him. Kiba made good progress, but there was still a HUGE gap between him and Naruto for obvious reasons. So it was clear no matter hard he could try, he would never gonna achieve his goal, which does go against the overall theme of the story. Anyway, Kiba was also really close with his teammate Hinata throughout the series, like a brother to her. Now with all that said, it’s confirmed that they killed off Neji to bring Naruto and Hinata closer together, which is a bit cruel because Neji was a great character with much story potential left (Changing the Hyūga, Prove Free Will exists, be an uncle to Boruto and Himawari, maybe hook up with Tenten etc.). Now if someone had to die to make NaruHina a reality and have it actually be fitting, Kiba would be the best option because there was nothing left to his story as we can see here. Him and Akamaru sacrificing themselves to save Naruto and Hinata would have the same or maybe even greater emotionally devastating impact on them and the audience, so nothing about the story would significantly change. In fact Naruto would then having a larger drive to be Hokage, for his fallen friend as he now must carry on his dreams.
Sorry for the long comment, just wanted to share my thoughts and hear everyone else’s opinions on them

This show needs a reunion and family arc. Like the whole old crew plus there children together all of them telling stories and everything. All there light hearted moments are brief especially with all the huge and upcoming battles they’ll have to face in the future of boruto

What hurts to think about is that we will most likely say goodbye to Akamaru some time in the future of Boruto 😢
There is something almost depressing about seeing these characters grown up, and I don't think it's because of any reflections towards what happens in the real world. Rather, the inevitable shonen power creep that happened during shippuden all made us view the side characters differently than the ones who were important and protected by plot armor. In the end, Neji's death had barely any impact because his last good fight or character development was during the Chunin exams. To go back and try not seeing them as side characters and cannon fodder for the actual villains is very difficult, and makes them hard to care about or relate to. I generally find myself only interested whenever Sasuke, Naruto, or Kakashi make an appearance. To see them grow up without really having them develop is almost like they got robbed of their own childhood. Idk, there's just some depressing mood around this series. I wonder if it's because the authors realized having that many characters was too much to manage.

There's nothing to ignore. Kurama helped save the world and the village only got destroyed because of Obito. Naruto probably cleared that up with the village, so he and the other tailed beasts have a good reputation now.

It feels good seeing akamaru again even though he’s in his elderly age. But still it feels good seeing him moving around and such. So nice to see him with his son
Seeing Akamaru here reminds me of my old dog I grew up with. First day we got her, we gave her the name “Tiny” because of how small she was as a puppy. She eventually got big of course, developed diabetes and cancer, went blind, and then eventually passed away in the middle of the night without any immediate warnings.
I just can’t help but look at a dog in Akamaru’s condition and feel the same will happen: Go to bed one night, and then you wake up and they’re gone. Any night could be the last night you spend with them... 😢

I want an episode where Kiba have to put to sleep his dying dog akamaru but before he do so he invites all his friends (original 9 rookies) to his home for them to say one final goodbye to his dog. All that happening in his house and while everyone is there they all talk about the old days. (That would be a thousand time better than the weekly shit we see of boruto)

It's more like the writers dropped her (and a lot of other things, from what I've heard / can tell). Hinata said she wanted to stand *with* Naruto, yet all we see is her taking care of the house / kids which is somewhat depressing given (a) her unique abilities, which would be a great asset to the village and to her husband; (b) how hard she worked to get this strong.
And I totally agree, it's sad and completely unrealistic that she'd fall out with two guys who she served in the military with for years, who helped shape who she was, and who all live in the same small town as her. I don't care about the gender / marriage dynamics, if you serve in the trenches with someone you're friends for life. Hell, aren't Naruto and Sakura still quite close?
Given the amount of love she has from the fans (myself included), it astounds me that they'd do her like this. One of the best parts of Boruto is seeing the characters we grew up with, and while I understand it's the new generation's story I wish we got more of that.

Dogs just naturally get smaller and more frail once they hit an older age.
