I feel bad for kiba, he was told he had to train together with akamaru when he just wanted to play with his puppy, he tried to surpass naruto but never got close, he trained hard but he didn’t make much progress, he wanted to become hokage but just ended up in the police force and was alone for a while and didn’t get a girlfriend until all his friends had already been married and had kids, with his rival becoming hokage, I also wish that he could have been a main character, he had so much wasted potential
Kiba's growth is almost a tragically realistic reality check for those who watched the show and grew up along side him. He is, in some sense: the viewer.

So sad he became such unimportant by the end of the series....but at least he gre up to be the hottest guy out of his generaton. ;)

An early loss for Naruto could of been used for some development of his maturity or focus and what not, really it just depends on how you want to write a story or where you want the story to go. Kishimoto clearly wanted more so to show Naruto scraping by to add on tension for the upcoming opponents he will face + a gag moment. Besides, just cause he is the MC (protagonist) doesn't mean he can't take an L here and there.
And the ninja hounds can talk just like the Ninja Toads and snakes and slug and monkeys so Hound sage is totally plausible, they wouldn't cheapen sage mode for him either.
eh, nah. would have saturated the market. Sage mode is like this top quality thing with only a handful of people skillful enough to use it. Its like similar level to mongyekyo sharingan, if not even more powerful. I kinda like that only the snake frog and slug sages could use it. makes it feel like a special mystic technique.

when amagi does the abillities of kiba they only put fang over fang man beast transformation beast mimicry and clone jutsu because unlike other characters except for sakura they have more jutsus
He could have had so much more abilities like: Turn into a weredog Howl and use sound style Sharper claws Steel teeth and super sharp Earth style because dogs can dig Dog sage mode and another dog summoning More speed, his speed got nerfed
