that should have been part of the video. given how easily lpl found the right set on each pin, I'm inclined to believe that raking still has a reasonably good chance of working. though it should take several times longer than with all standard pins.

LPL: "Don't expect this to last more than 30 seconds or maybe a minute when being picked."

Master lock makes their units more difficult to dissemble instead of increasing the difficulty of its pick resistance. Put the core on the inside of the shackle and the hex screw in the key hole. So a terrible lock is a little less terrible now…got it! The fact that it took more time for LPL to OCD the pin orientation on the plate than it took him to pick the lock says it all.

Interesting to see what you are talking about when you say a spool pin. I enjoy your work and seeing the details helps.

I just bought one of these on 1/4/23. Picked it blind in one attempt, about 8 seconds. Gutted and found 5 standard pins.

I'm going to have to use the phrase "right down the shackle hole" in a conversation.😂

LPL- looks at the lock sternly. Lock in a sorrowful tone, "Fine." Lock opens up.

At least it actually required single pin picking and not the good ole wave rake! I'm still a bit surprised the spools didn't slow him down a tiny bit more.

I think for Halloween, some kids should dress up as a pair of hands, bearing the letters "LPL" and holding a tensioner and hook, and then "trick-or-treat" all the Masterlock directors!
The LPL just has to be the bogeyman for Masterlock!

Thanks for doing the update video. Though with Master Lock not improving tolerances the spool pins are easily defeated. Cheers

The tools made by Covert Instruments seem to be really well made. I'm not really into picking, but if I were I'd probably buy'em, also I love your content, great stuff!

Master Lock actually made a lock that lasted longer than a split second before it was picked! This one takes 5 to open! Impressive!
