  • The Cadillac CTS Sport Wagon was based on the successful CTS sedan, the car that kickstarted Cadillac’s resurgence. It brought an elegant exterior style, a sorted cabin and generous cargo space. It was also responsive when the more powerful 3.6L V6 was driving all four wheels. The unspoken plus was the manner in which it tackled the pylon test. The Sport Wagon had a flat attitude and the response to the steering input was sharp. In the end, it was a surprisingly rewarding drive. Sadly, the CTS Sport Wagon was short-lived, indicating many potential buyers could not wrap their head around the fact a luxury wagon is just as flexible as any crossover. Come to think of it the same still holds true today! Pity.

The CTS Sportwagon did come with paddle shifters, if you ordered it with the "19in Summer Tire Performance Package."

North America needs more domestic full size wagons.

Ahhh, the good 'ol days when one had lots of wagon options. I have a 2020 MB E-450 wagon that I absolutely love and will never get rid of. There are not many options anymore for wagons, let alone luxury/sporty wagons.
