I just got back from the riverland yesterday. Caught my first callop. Spent the week at the River bend caravan park. It was only 36 cm. But it made me so happy. Great video 👌
Been reading articles by you for years and learnt alot from them and expecially with these videos you dont push any marketing etc its just straight up down to earth fishing luv it!
Thanks again, Lubin! Yellow belly on fly, Nah....I thought that was a myth. The lure you found was a mans 10 plus (I think) an oldie but goodie, ya can't get em anymore.
No worries 🤙🎣 most of the lures I find end up on the wall at home so interesting to hear about the mans. The old yella on fly doesn’t happen often but I’ll take it when it does!
I think it would be great if you gave us a little more tips on how much you let your lure drop, ie to the bottom or a few feet, what you do when you hit a snag using a spinnerbait. Etc. Great video though. Cheers
I have fished that area a number of times in 2020 year and haven't got the slightest touch! I'd be lucky to catch covid in Texas the way I've been going lately.
May I ask from which part of the Murray River you made this video? In your opinion, which part of the Murray River is best for catching those golden perchs?
Great to see you fishing the lower murray buddy just curious as to where on the lower you found better to hold fish as i fish the loxton stretch and nearly always come home bagged out some days you work harder than others but flow definitely proves to be key to success well done love your vids buddy
Thanks for watching the channel mate! They certainly move around a lot but I don’t think one particular spot is more consistent than other. The biggest factor is the water quality and flow for lure fishing.
@@thefullscale-fishingadvent2917 Planning on heading to Ramco, Qalco area end of January. Hoping flows are 5-7k and clarity improving. Never fished the area, so any pointers apart from cast, cast, cast and cast at structure. Enjoy your vids, so much info to make fishing a better experience.
Awesome stuff! What colour spinner would you use in murkier faster flowing water? I think the river is flowing around 15000 per day into SA at the moment. Cheers Andrew
Thanks mate, in the dirty water is always a tough one. Try something like a solid dark colour like black to create a good silhouette for the fish to find.
@@thefullscale-fishingadvent2917 cheers for the tip mate! I did head up River 6 weeks back but the water was way too murky flowing around 25000 up near Renmark I'll keep it in mind though for next time 👍
hi Lubin when can we troll for callop in S.A. all year round .......or is there a closure time i cant remember i had accident and lost my memory now i half to start over again

Last weekend i take it, tried for Cod around Swan reach but no joy, couldn't get away from ski boats.
Filmed this one a few weeks ago mate and yep can totally understand how hard the wake boats make it. Thanks for watching!
