Fireweed sprouts

Thanks, I had not thought about harvesting fireweed shoots. Something to look for next spring when snow leaves.

I have huge 6' of these things growing in SC, I missed the young shoots but I have a big one I cooked up awaiting to eat. The leaves are broader than what you have and they are very mild and astringent tasting by themselves.
