The first problem is a triple is unique in the feel and performance. After 60+ years riding and over 60 bikes owned over those years and many more ridden the Triumph is the most perfect bike I have ever owned. As I stated the feel of a triple is like none other.
You should have made the comparison as Triumph with the new 2023 model, (the video/pics/specs shown in the video are from the 2022 version), as there are many differences regarding styling, specs, engine, etc...
I don't know about anyone else but I do value fuel tank size on a motorbike is very important to me there's almost thousands of accessories you can buy for your bike yet barely anything for fuel tank capacity for modern sport bikes
Shame you didn't get to use the new 2023 street triple rs as its a totally new bike in almost every aspect from styling, engine, brakes etc That said i currently use a Triumph Trident 660 as my daily commuter & just don't think i could change to another manufacturer after experiencing the triple sound & Triumphs build quantity. Loved your up front & practical review & have just subscribed. Looking forward to seeing more in the future. Cheers from New Zealand 🇳🇿
The street triples also come with stainless braided brake lines from the factory, the z900 has standard rubber lines. Makes a big difference in brake feel.
The Kawasaki Z900 SE gives you Brembo brakes and Ohlins rear shock with revised internal front shocks. In the UK the same price as the Triumph. I find the Triumph a bit small and a bit too track focused as an every day Street bike.
Bar end mirrors look nice but get in the way for more aggressive cornering. If the ST had nicer TFT & a nicer headlight design, it’ll be the one to beat.
Nice review. Another contender I think price wise is the GSXS1000. Far less expensive than the ST RS but more power and has a quick shifter whereas the Z900 does not.
the Triumph is the clear winner. Not only is it so much more fun to own, its the reason there are these "mid-range" bikes are so popular. the Triumph Street Triple R has been the leader in this category for a long time.
I do love the 2023 stripple and i would get it if i were a track junkie, but the z is a better all-around road bike. Bigger tank, lower price, higher gvwr rating, and you can mount Shad hard panniers.
I always tell people we dont speak english, we speak American. 😁99% the same with minor differences. 🇺🇸 🇦🇺 Nice review video. I can't do that triple though. I cant stand the headlight setup.
Wrong, Zed is not the "correct" universal pronunciation. It is something you Australians and Canadiens are encouraged to use, eh. Next time don't screw up your comparison with a Triumph a year off as well. There was a whole new launch.
It's all a matter of taste. I prefer the rev-hungry engine to the Z900's somewhat sluggish engine. Otherwise I find the Z900 almost unbelievably good for the price. Chassis , engine, brakes Everything very very ok. Even without a Brembo. But i do not like those diesel like motorcycle engines. Mike bikes have to be kind of rev greedy
How did this end up in my list?? The ONLY YT video saying the Kwack is better than the STR.....in fact there are multiple videos where the Kwack doesn't even make the top 5..... By the way, I have a Ducati, neither of the other 2 but this video is a joke.
I own a 1972 z1 and it remained the fastest and easiest to use for a fue years. When I road my son's new kawasaki 900 it did 130 mph my 72 stock got 142 but the 72 was a limited amount for racing most of the difference between the two was wait just like the production model of the 73 900. Back when both will have to keep your pucker level up. Plenty of everything for THE EXPERIENCE RIDERS. To go faster than 140 is bucks and work with the platform. My 1972 had a rc engineering 1170 cc with a American turbocharger it was Dino at 152 hp i had a speeding ticket for 170 mph the fastest the helicopter was able to do. Freeways 5 was straight and two lanes and miles and miles that way. Anything over 750 is for experience rides that want to go faster than 130. That's back to the future motorcycles now are 1000 hp stock. Overkill if you ask me my 72 got really lite at 150 and wind is a factor was bad enough for the center stand hit the pavement on the right side. I cut the center stand foot bar off because it was a surprise and at that speed you don't need surprises. Another problem is the tire was v rated at 150 mph you could not find a tire above v rated. At the time most of the parts are unobtainable for the aftermarket parts. Motorcycles was my passion and still is my 1979 z1 is stock and will do anything i want . It's faster than my son's new one but it has a reve limiter and I think that is the main issue between the two. You miss a shift on the older bikes and it will cost you. I don't understand the rides on the new bikes with rev limiters flooring the engine to the limit and cutting out because of it has reached the limit, the only thing I can think of is that they are using it like a horn. The motorcycle has evolved over the years but the horns haven't the biker just make alot of noise of the motorcycle and it works well. My long time friend has a bicycle horn so the cops can't make out a ticket for no horn. The motorcycle manufacturers need to address the problem and put a real horn on the bike of today.
OK couple things being a Z900 owner for two years now yes I say Z not zed and I am Canadian because z sounds so much cooler lol and when it comes to looks the Z looks so much better than the Daytona lol It looks like that headlights gonna fall off plus Kawasaki, reliability, destroys triumphs
Z 900 is amazing value for money in Australia and why would you spend $18,000 more on the other bike when you can get a 1000 from Suzuki that would literally smash both of them so the z900 is a great bike but if you're willing to spend that little bit more get the Suzuki 1000 the Z1000 needs to be updated it's a bit of a letdown at the moment
The Suzuki i cheaper for a reason, brakes, suspension, gearbox, and electronics is no where near the street triple, and still got a pos LCD screen. But yes i would be faster in a straight line, but handle like a ferry compared to the street
I own a 2023 Z-900. Did a ton of mod's and it is a hard bike to beat in a street fight. The street triple is the most ugliest bike I have seen in a while.
@@ridepastu1418 I ride with a guy who has the Street triple rs. I found it to be lacking in horse power unless you rev the engine to nearly the red line. My Z900 ate his bike for lunch right from the dealership. My mod's an ECU flash done at Moore Mafia. I had a custom exhaust made for me that went from the head on the engine to the can. The can came from hotbodies racing I got the gp model. I added new levers, A steering damper, frame sliders, mirrors, new seat. The stock seat is like sitting on a brick. A cell phone mount wired to the battery to keep my phone charged. The Z900 has an app that you can change the settings for your personal riding.I dynoed the bike stock and it was 122 HP to the rear wheel. After that I got the ECU flashed, Fram hi performance air filter and my exhaust. I had it dynoed again and it make 134 HP to the rear wheel. I love my bike, I would buy it again and do all the work on it all over. It takes the twisties no problem. In a straight line I had it up to 145 MPH and still had more throttle.
@@redneckurbantransplant5931 So is it worth it then? I always been a Kawa fan and I could buy at a good price now, but other brands have better equipments for example: quickshifter, radial calipers, IMU. 😅

Street Triple 765 RS for me. Personally I have Street Triple 765 R 2022. I prefer the old school analogue rev counter.
same and I agree
Z900 all day long
I don't know about anyone else but I do value fuel tank size on a motorbike is very important to me there's almost thousands of accessories you can buy for your bike yet barely anything for fuel tank capacity for modern sport bikes
when you say, Kawasaki and high quality material makes me smile :)

2023 RS is my next upgrade from my ninja 400
you compared the high end triumph to the base z900. i just cant get past the headlight cluster of the triumph. its a big turn off for me.
The issue I have with the Triumph is the labor for service. In Las Vegas, the Kawasaki is a lot easier to live with
New street triple rs is 130 hp...
Great review mate 👍
I've ridden the RS a few times now but have always been curious on the Kawasaki
Kawasaki for life.
The street triples also come with stainless braided brake lines from the factory, the z900 has standard rubber lines. Makes a big difference in brake feel.
I don't hate Triumph but I love my Z900 after having an MT 03 and MT 07

Wish they’d bring the se version of the 900 to Australia
Street triple rs is good performance
once triumph always triumph
Bar end mirrors look nice but get in the way for more aggressive cornering. If the ST had nicer TFT & a nicer headlight design, it’ll be the one to beat.
How did you mount your Phone on the ninja like that?
Its a quad lock handlebar mount, if you search my channel I have an old video going over it :)
Nice review. Another contender I think price wise is the GSXS1000. Far less expensive than the ST RS but more power and has a quick shifter whereas the Z900 does not.
You're comparing it to the 2022 STRS, there has been lots of changes in the 2023 STRS
Just imagine a 1000cc engine on triple rs... Simply phenomenal 🔥🔥
That would be kind of silly since they already has the speed triple 1200 RS in the stable 🤷🏻♂️
Not fussed with the aesthetics of either bikes tbh, can we have a Trident styled 765 against the Z900 rs please.?
I have thought that myself. The Trident is a handsome bike but not enough power to get excited.
Why did you compare the base model z900 with the top of the line street triple (rs)? Shouldn't you compare the street triple rs with the z900 se?
Both fantastic.
Z900 would be my choice except that I’m not a fan of Sugomi styling..
the Triumph is the clear winner.

Well this is game changing for me!
The riding position is quite aggressive though. For longer trips it will be painful
@@hlpang1075 I have put 15000 touring miles on mine. It's great.
That sweet triple soundtrack. I ❤ it.

The dudes channel has Kawasaki in the name, sure this video will be unbiased right?
as you say, if you spend 5K on Z900 to make a K a proper biky and you say RS is more when 4K, with all jussy, why K is better when?
It's all a matter of taste. I prefer the rev-hungry engine to the Z900's somewhat sluggish engine.

Not me wondering whether Mr Kwack will pick this here z900 or end up being a complete sportbike degenerate like myself and go for the zx6r 😂😂
Z900
