You can clearly tell who are the Gen Z and young millennials watching this because they think it's gay. Us older folks no better since we've seen the movie growing up. They had a close girl friendship, and Jane was in love with a man and became very feminine for him. That's all. The reason we think it's gay is because it resonates with us. This movie is very much queer coded. All we've ever watched were straight romances because we don't have very much representation but believe me when I say we know it when we see it.
