I'd go to Galveston Island for the Schlitterbahn waterpark not too far from there but I could easily see myself spending a couple of hours here riding the Iron Shark, the Texas Starflyer and a few other rides as well.

LOVE IT! Has good rides and has that nice boardwalk feel but doesn't suck like the New Jersey boardwalks. No offense New Jersey, you boardwalks suck. Well, most of them, Casino Pier and Morey aren't that bad I guess.
