ordered the 2 things i wanted they were sold out when i looked a week ago. Great prices on your stuff compared to all others .i will be buying more soon .have a great day and God bless you and Hannah
It is very funny how I am watching this video a year later after you made it and two years since you made the prior video so crazy so crazy keep up a good work man a year later still helping me out and hopefully I don't lose as many fish as I do lures
Thats definitely the quickest strong knot..great tutorial tyler..i checked out your merch i would love to get some but the stuff i like is sold out . Could you let me know when you're going to have more of it
I am going to try a drop shot this weekend. The knot was my biggest fear. I am glad that you have this video, it really helps the new people like me! Thanks again!
I always pull just the tag end on my palomar knots. It wastes more line but your main line doesn’t get coils in it, so I have more confidence in the strength of my line. And with screw lock hooks it’s way easier to just put your plastic on first.
You'll be proud to know I started a UA-cam fishing channel under a different name. I won't tell you the name but hopefully one day I will see you in the comments and when I do I know I'm doing good👊
Hey Tyler, I have a reel I new to spool up with floro and was wondering what pound you would recommend. I have a reel rn with 50 lb braid so what should I put on the other reel?
I tie mostly trilene knot 90% of the time. Its almost as strong as the polymer knot and its a quicker tie. Caught a 24 pound blue catfish it and my biggest PB bass of 9 pounds and it didn't break. Also depends on what rod and line you have as well
@@irvinjaramillo6734 way to go! I personally would rather throw a frog or a popper than a buzz bait. But I do agree that buzznaits have an action that is the most unique among top waters.
Personally I just tie a uni knot and call it a day. Since I switched to it last year I have not lost a single lure on a cast or fighting a fish. Works on everything from a Texas rig to a 5oz. Swimbait.
What’s your A-rig knot? San Diego Jam? Palamar would be too difficult I would think. Also, I would think it would waste a bunch of line for the loop to go around that massive rig
@@TylersReelFishing one more question, i mostly use braid on my reels, however i tie a flouro leader to it, would you use a swivel between the leader and the line?
There was just study out some time last year... lubing the knot for today's line actually weakened the knot by some 4-9%... cant remember which article was an interesting read.
@@TylersReelFishing Just found this... it might actually confirm it...dunno, toss up. Salt Strong, lubing knots: ua-cam.com/video/tS8e4bT6c3Q/v-deo.html
Watched it. Was not really impressed by the difference between dry and wet. I really think it’s more depending on how slow you tie it, and I have confidence in what I do. So I’m going to preach what works for me
@@TylersReelFishing Yeah, that's why I said it's more a toss up. Don't think it's enough to be a game changer, just stating what's researched out there.
If you would have been inside with consistent background would have been better but otherwise a perfect video for all to learn about rigging up right. Thanks
I have learned through experience, to not use Palomar knots with fluoro. Lots of videos about fluoro breaking with Palomar knots too. Especially on a dropshot. #TRF
See, that’s so odd. I NEVER, and I repeat, never, have issues breaking off on flouro with a palomar. I really think it all comes down to personal experience and history, and some people have had bad experience with certain spools of line, which causes them to blame the knot
Palomar in braid with only one turn? I was under the impression that the braid (especially if in dyneema) is too slippery and the knot would fail…evidently not if you’ve been teaching it that way for however long
Y’all check out my merch!! 🔥Shopinfiniteoutdoors.com

I just signed on UA-cam to see how to tie a snell knot and this is the video that popped up before I could search!!! Woohoo!!!
Awesome!!
For my generation you are deff my favorite angler 🙏hopefully I get my channel up amd viewed enough to tag along one time
I will be watching this video about 100 times. Always great to learn new knots.
A most helpful video. Especially with all the different knots out there. Thanks Tyler 😁
The Palomar knot is the best knot there is, never have broken off with, it great lesson for the beginner!👍
I have a question, how do you attach the line to a reel?
Great video thanks buddy
Great video Tyler. Very helpful
learned a lot from your plastic rig vid from last year, great vid for beginner!
Awesome!
Nice job. Thank you
Thanks for the link to that video. Can't believe I missed it only two weeks ago. But again thanks.
excellent video!!
Love your stuff!! Keep it up!
Awsome video Tyler!!

Nice job Tyler, this is going to be helpful for many fishermen
That’s always the goal!

Good info !
Ty thanks man. You teach me so so much and I'm no newbie...
Awesome! So glad!
Super helpful, getting back into the sport after several years not fishing.
Glad to help!

Thanks I been trying so hard but I finally found a great video
Hope you find more of em here!
Your 'how to rig every plastic' video is legendary 😁

Awesome mark!
Been watching for about 4 months but daily for the last month. Great videos and content
So glad to have you watching!
I don’t know hw this guy doesn’t have any more
followers he is such an amazing dude just keep doing what your doing you make a lot of peoples day

That’s smart. I have always found it difficult though the way that I tie it to pull the tag end. It seems like it locks up more
Improved clinch for the win.

New camera? The quality looks great man
I do believe so!! He sold one of his old ones..... And if my memory is correct he mentioned something about buying a new camera!🤷♂️
It is. He posted about it on his Instagram story.
Yeah I got the A7siii. 10 bit color is so juicy
Nice video. It’s funny because my 98% knot is a snell knot lol. I use it on everything.
this is something i’ve always wanted to know but idk why i never thought to ask 😂
Haha good! I read your mind
Hey Tyler, I have a reel I new to spool up with floro and was wondering what pound you would recommend. I have a reel rn with 50 lb braid so what should I put on the other reel?
15lb flouro

Am I the only one that has never picked up a buzz bait in their life?
you’re missing out i caught my pb on one

Wow I’m early today.
Imagine not giving this video a like...😳 or this cOmMeNt

Tyler, Do you ever use snap swivels to make changing lures quick and easy, at least in muddy water or am I just being a lazy rookie?
No, I just learned to tie knots faster
Hey Tyler I just need your honest opinion on the lews kvd reel is it worth the money
Yes it’s really good man
just a question can I use a snap swivel for a chatterbiat?
Yes you can, but I prefer to tie directly to all of my lures
Can you do a video about good springtime baits
Got some coming!
what size spinning reel should I grab?
3000

Palomar. I just waste more line lol
New camera be looking 🔥 or is it a lense? Anyway🔥 either way
New camera!
I use the uni knot just cause it has less tag end but palomar was what I learned originally and haven’t had one slip on me
Is the uni knot the best knot also or a modified uni knot
Palomar
Thanks, I hoped you were going to do this video....
Do you tie all of your lures on our do you use snap swivels for a quick change?
There is zero reason in my opinion, to add an additional piece of equipment in between you and the fish. Learn to tie faster knots. Don’t use snaps
@@TylersReelFishing one more question, i mostly use braid on my reels, however i tie a flouro leader to it, would you use a swivel between the leader and the line?
Absolutely not. Learn to tie an FG knot
Palamar is good, downside is it uses tooo much line. Another good knot thats similar to the palamar (double over on the eye) is the trilene knot
when do you use other knots like the modified cinch knot?
I don’t
@@TylersReelFishing that keeps things simple! Thanks for the reply and the great content!

.DOES THE KNOT TIGHTEN ON ITS SELF OR PULL ITSELF APART UNDER LOAD???
That is all that really matters....
Neither. It’s always tight and should stay tight

Lol I feel bad for you, 6.6k views on this one, far from your last. Good thing though, proves your first one taught them the first time.
