How to Finish Music: What I Learned From Finishing 500 Tracks

Often finishing a track can seem like an uphill struggle - particularly if you were excited and enthusiastic about it when you started but then it becomes an uphill Slog.

I recently set a goal of 100 tracks, not counting anything in the past. I did the math and realized I should do around 10 tracks a month which means 3 days per track. This artificial deadline I set for myself has been a critical key to being able to say, "Nope. It's done. No takesy-backsy now. Pencils down." and this has helped get rid of the attachment to any tracks and just keep looking forward.
