good luck being in a band that does covers. they are very, very expensive these days. Bars that used to have those bands stopped because of the royalties.
Good work kid, Mom is probably on the way up to see if you did your homework and cleaned the room, while Dad is yelling to turn it down so he can hear the TV. Oh the life of a young rocker !
Kid's got an EVH poster and a Zeppelin poster. Whoever raised this kid is doing a very, very, very good job. Jokes aside, fantastic cover dude!!! Really impressive stuff. Keep it up \m/
I have been an acoustic player for decades, and am making a late stage entry into the world of electrics. Bought a Lester the day after my mother died in 2020 and just Strat-ed in March. (No offense, they always reminded me first of Clapton, and I always thought he was a bit of a dick. But, watching videos of song break downs with what was used to get “that” tone, I realized: I must have a Stratocaster.) Went Am. Pro. II roast pine body with rosewood neck, kinda like Bonnie Raitt and Nils Lofgen’s. Amazing. So light it almost feels like a toy compared to the LP. One day, I’ll sweep pick and pinch a damned harmonic.
@@strummercash5601 very nice! I always loved Bonnie Raitt’s strat. I love the look and sound of an LP, but I find the strat much more comfortable and easy to play
Sadly, the Fender did NOT come with either Bonnie’s nor Nils skills installed. As I said, my Ma left (85 wonderful years to celebrate) so finally buying an LP after decades of coveting seemed reasonable. Went into GC kinda hoping for a Standard in Cherry-burst. Left with a Classic in Honeyburst. It felt best, and oddly, for 3 years we had enjoyed Honeybear, the pup at left. I told the GC man. “I did want something handsome even elegant. But capable of churning out Jimmy Page devil chords on command. Heavy around my neck, weighty in my hands. Like a manual transmission automobile, I want to be really aware and presents when I am playing this instrument. It is a grief spree purchase, after all.” It’s perfect. But as you so aptly described, the yin and yang. Both tone and feel, they make amazing partners. I often just look at both on stands side-by-side, and I feel grateful and humbled. I think “damn. You are such fine and lovely instruments. That I get to have you here to enjoy almost overwhelms me.”
@@RockinCowboyz I started playing guitar back in 1974, I was 12 years old. By the time I was 16 years old I'd worked cutting lawns to buy myself a new Les Paul Deluxe and a Fender Twin Reverb.
