@@bennshouts seventeen isn't available in Europe and some other countries. Also the title track is only available on apple music in a few countries and the Japanese CD so it wouldn't be available to a lot of people as well.

The inspiration for Guilty is a dream Marina had where she accidentally killed a dog and instead of taking responsibility for it, she ran away and felt guilty. She said that when she woke up, she was upset with her decision and Guilty was born

Not to mention, it could also literally be a combo of "sham" and "pain." To be a sham means pretending to be something you're not, and the song mentions that, for example the line "savor the taste of fabricated wealth."
Honestly Hermit is 100% a grower... I wasnt keen on it for like the first 5 times i heard it but now it's one of my very favorite if only for its unique sound

EDIT: Also for her FROOT tour, Mowgli's Road was the opener so she legit came out of a neon jungle screen and yelled CUCKOOOOO until the live instruments kicked in. A banger.

Gosh what a classic, every song carries so much nostalgia! I saw her live back in 2013 and Mowgli’s Road was such a highlight! (Funny enough I actually went so I could see Charli since she was the opener 😂)

Also Hermit the frog is one of my favourites! Love the little greek influences (she's half greek) in the music. Lyrically it's likely about her first time having sex and how she regrets it, perhaps because she felt used/heartbroken by the person she was with. She's mentioned virginity in a couple other songs as well so it seems to be something that bothered her a lot.

I more interpreted it as an abusive ex-partner in a generally, mutual toxic relationship.
I know L+F is next in your Marina journey - it is probably the furthest removed from TFJ, but I’ve harped on about it on your other videos and so I’ll do it here now, I think there is a lot on L+F to appreciate.

TFJ has a lot of nostalgia for me. I remember a few singles but Oh No was really what sold me on wanting the album - I had also got Roots free through iTunes (when they still did free song of the week).
I think my favourite tracks are: oh no, mowglis road, obsessions, the outsider and numb.
The title track is probably my least favourite song and wasn’t on the initial release (in the U.K. anyway). There is a track Seventeen that I adore that is on the US version that I’d recommend finding at some point.
Mowgli’s Road shares it’s name with the main character in the jungle book if you’ve seen that :)

I discovered Marina with 'Oh No!', but she had already released some acoustic versions of 'Electra Heart'; I fell in love with her sound in 'Oh No!', but her lyrics on EH, wow... I was 16, and that album was everything to me, still is. I also listened to TFJ, and I liked it as well. But honestly EH was IT. That whole era... wow. I don't know why but I can hear more of your accent here... anyways. Right after 'Oh No!' I listened to EH, then TFJ, and shampain was an AMAZING SONG. Marina was in my head 24/7... AND I WAS 16! She had a lot of impact in me.
My favorites in this album are:

Sometimes debut albums are like a bunch of songs that 'might be IT', but this album, although to me is not cohesive, it offers variety; EH was cohesive and had variety, this album didn't feel random, rushed, unprepared. And it has deep lyrical content. Like, I didn't know 'Shampain' meant Shame + Pain. Maybe you're right, I'm getting used to it 🤣 Or maybe it's because I started re watching 'The Crown' and my ears are... I don''t know how to say it... I blame that show 😂
