The real photos Astrid took really are fantastic. But what i always remembered is this poignant love story. They Beatles weren't famous at this point in time. But Astrid and Stu met and were engaged before he suddenly died. Imagine being that age (i think 22) and the love of your life dies. Very sad.
Love this movie! Loved Stephen Dorff in this movie too! In my opinion it's his best role! Great movie! Best film about the Beatles I've seen! Although it's really about Stuart Sutcliffe & the Beatles!

I know many people who are Beatles fans don’t like this movie, and even Paul McCartney didn’t like this movie mainly because there was a song they didn’t get right where it appears John Lennon is doing lead vocal on a song that Paul McCartney sang lead vocal, but I really, really like this movie. It shows the Beatles before they became world famous, and because of that, they seem more relatable to average people.
GREAT movie on the early BEATLES before they hit it big! Listen to the Beatles live in Hamburg Germany 1962 for the REAL soundtrack to those days. They were the ORIGINAL punk musicscene.The cast in this movie look incredibly like the fabfour and a quick note,Glen Royer had the original audition for the part of paul in the film, but couldent make the trek to L.A. in time.Still,the fellow who got the role is bang on and so,it all worked out ok.. Royer did play john in later years in Liverpool band
In a twin-lens reflex camera, the viewfinder consists of a 45-degree mirror, which you visualise from above while you hold the camera at waist level. This is why the bass is inverted (the whole image is, actually).
@SuperStray27 Really? This is movie is really about Stu Sutcliffe and Astrid Kirchherr; The Beatles story happening in the film is really just a leitmotif for Stu's story. It's supposed to have a small movie feel, because at this point in time, The Beatles as we know them were still in their infancy.

They always totally gay up these movies by adding sh*t that isn't true or stuff that is ridiculously fake. First off they sounded nothing like the music they played in this, all 48 track studio recordings with perfect drumming and guitar playing. Give me a break, in reality the drummer could hardly play the bass player couldn't play and the amps sucked and Astrid couldn't speak a word of English. Why do they always have to do this to rock documentarys? Why not make it based on reality for once?

Stephen Dorff is amazing in this film and gorgeous too. Met and hung out with him this year. Cool AF.

That isn't true at all. The drummer was average, the bassist wasn't bad but often messed up, and Astrid indeed spoke English.
