In Germany we have high speed trains going up to 320 km/h where you can watch the driver if you sit in the front row. And its not even first class or anything.
@@paularvozm I was going to point that out! I once rode an ICE to Stuttgart, I think, and accidentallyended up at the front right behind the driver. Best train ride ever until that point in my life! And then the driver turned the windows between us opaque! So frustrating 😅

Idk if I’ve ever seen you in USJ, but I must say that I love the singers there. They have one of the most talented singers that I’ve heard of. If you were a singer there, you have my respect.
I know very little of Switzerland (mainly Interlaken) but I loved it, it was dream-like for me. Hope to know more and also travel to Japan. Best regards from Brazil.
That red paint outside is definitely gorgeous. Love how the ambience light is not only for esthetic but also functional. The train driver deck looks so grandiose.
The image of the most polite nation in the world results from the Japanese attitude towards work and religion and the fact that their politeness is in fact a ritual of some kind, not something that would come from the bottom of the heart. These issues must be viewed in the context of Japanese historical experience, value system and other socio-political factors. The ruthless rule of successive monarchs, death penalty for even minor offenses, absolute obedience of the subjects to authority. Moreover the US occupation after the Second World War helped Japan to recover from the crisis and develop a fantastically built economy, with a hard work of its citizens. If Japan got under the Chinese or Russian sphere of influence, the communist governments would probably do with this country a terrible things, resulting a similar situation like today have the countries like Poland or Czech Republic. Paradoxically, the Japanese should be "grateful" for the American invasion and occupation (ofc historically Japan were with the Nazis and attacked first, so should be grateful they were not wiped out completely from the planet Earth by Americans and the rest of peaceful world), because it allowed them to develop the economy to the present state so quickly and efficiently. The Russians and Chinese would not allow it.
Thank you for taking me out of my little house in North Carolina and taking me to some place I've always wanted to go. The more I see of Japan the more I love. The food the travel to people. Thank you so much. I love watching your videos
Clearly an upgraded version of train travel on every aspects: bigger windows, services, absolute cleanliness, etc. It's amazing, thank you Japan for showing us we can offer something superior to what is available currently.
What a lovely train and video! Yes, it does remind one of the Thalys. When we went to Europe we took the Eurostar from London to Paris, and then the Thalys from Paris to Amsterdam. Both great trains to ride in! I, too, miss Europe. Thank you for sharing these rides with us!
To hear of Japanese admiration for the European high-speed rail network is high praise indeed. I sometimes forget how lucky we are also. From Europe with love.
I didn't know I miss traveling on JP train until I found this clip. I appreciate all efforts you put in your content; high res, Eng subtitles with helpful tips so that non-JP people can understand and easily make plan for the next visit!
I would love it if, when the present Shinkansen trains retire from use, if they made the new ones more like this. I love the huge windows as, whenever I am in the train, I am always watching the countryside go by.
I was looking at this train when I was supposed to travel to Japan last year. I was planning on traveling from Osaka to Nagoya. I also loved your video on the Thunderbird train. Love your videos! Thank you.
The audio on all of your videos is perfection, Kuga! I listen to them while I work - sometimes putting the visuals on my second monitor. I'd love an hour long video of just audio and a window view. That would be chef's kiss!
in early 1997, I was travelling from Osaka to Nagoya in a snowy day and JR Shinkansen was shut down due to snow between Kyoto and Nagoya. so i took Kintetsu line from Nankai Namba to Nagoya, this journey was more than 4 hours (ltd exp) and was once a lifetime experience.
Such beautiful train, only in japan!! If we had seats like that in Europe it’ll be vandalised with in weeks , unless u put a guard there all the time. Even with guards , they may still write on the seat, “Baz was here “2021!
Thank you very much! I really enjoyed the trip and I will consider taking this train for my next travel between Nagoya and Osaka. I MISS JAPAN SO MUCH!
The Kintetsu Limited Express train is what I used to catch when I lived in Minoh, Osaka to go and see my sister who lived in Kuwana, Mie~ thanks for the train ride down memory lane ☺️
The most soothing thing ever is the tune that plays before announcements in trains and train stations in Japan. I don't think we have any melodious ones like that over here in India, they're just like sudden screams... Or maybe it's like that where I'm from...
India is not gonna reach the level of Japan even after a 1000 years. Just think about it, if we had vending machines like in Japan over here, people will loot the whole thing including the container. It's the mentality of the people that makes them the way they are. We saw how people broke the LCD screens from the superfast train here in the first few days itself.
So many memories - but we've never the slower train rides. It was so rushed - see here, see there; be here & be there. Wish we could return & stay for awhile. Japan is always so very clean & so well-organized a country. Always loved it even tho' we're foreigners.
I rode Kintetsu from Osaka to Nagoya before Hinotori debuted, and I'd say it was better worth than Shinkansen just considering the cheaper price and the beautiful mountain scenery. And it's more convenient if you live in southern side of Osaka. I'll definitely ride Hinotori when I get the chance in the future!
A beautiful train...... Interior seating space with perceived comfort, complimented with large, blue-tinted windows for viewing is outstanding. Hope to see it one day. Thank you for the video.
What a great train! I have always though that trains in Japan are a great way to travel and it is amazing just how much they keep getting better and better. The route is also very interesting. The Osaka Namba station is right in the heart of the touristy part of Osaka and would be very convenient for many travellers. I don’t know if I will ever take this train but I would be very pleased if it comes up as a convenient way to get to Namba or Nagoya one day. Thanks for another well crafted video.
great stuff, love all these alternate travel options between the major cities. would have never heard of them otherwise, hopefully get to try this one. the fresh coffee onboard wins it over for me.
Beautiful train, exquisite seats, and a lovely interior. We don't have any public train as beautiful or even close to being as beautiful as this train in the United States.
I saw a video about this train from NHK few days ago and thought that if I have a chance, I will definitely take it. And today, I got a chance to see this from your clip. Thanks for this video. The train is really awesome!!!
I get amazed by the simplest of things, for example the arm rest sliding forward to reveal a cup holder or the seat having a heating function. My favourite part though has to be how you can look into the driver's cabin from your seat - I would be fascinated by that!
My family is dreaming of visiting Japan when everything is back to normal. Thanks for touring us around my friend. I will watch more of your videos. So excited! Watching this first!
Being able too see the engineer or train conductor drive the train was a rare awesome site to see & the scenery was beautiful & the train was so clean & prastine!
This was very pleasant and relaxing to watch. I got a chuckle from the cup holder hidden under the small pad. Cute. The trains are clean and beautiful, I like the wood grain and the style of the seats. The English signs and especially the announcements are very impressive. I wanna go back!! Osaka-Namba was our first destination coming in from KIX, arrived around midnight due to plane's delayed departure from Sydney.
