It is awesome to ride the ferry ⛴️over the straits where the hayabusa shinkansen train is literally roaring back and forth in the seikan tunnel under the straits🚅🚆🚄
Thank you for this video. When you next visit Europe I would recommend taking the ferry from Helsinki to Stockholm. It leaves about 18:00 in the evening and calls into the Åland Islands en route. One of the best things about this trip is that when you wake up in the morning the ferry is sailing through the Swedish archipelago where there are hundreds of islands each with their own little red wooden cottage. It's stunning.
I don't know if there still is some cruise line with open front deck. That Swedish archipelago was really amazing to watch from that deck - I think it was some of the Silja Line boats, now Tallink Silja or something.
Kuga- I just wanted to drop you a note and let you know how much I enjoy your channel. The meditative calm quality of the videos is refreshing, and I feel like I am seeing a side of Japan I might never know about otherwise. Best Wishes.

Loved your video - thanks! I’m a Norwegian living in Oslo, and would also recommend the two night cruise on the Oslo-Kiel ferry, Color Line. The best cabins, suites are high up at the front of the ship, we usually get seasick there… But there are lots of other nice cabins on these ships. Welcome to Scandinavia!
back in 2009, I had taken a ferry cruise overnight from Stockholm to Helsinki for a day trip before taking it for another night back to Stockholm. We were on board M/S Mariella operated by Viking Lines. Our coach was also transported inside. I enjoyed your ships and train videos very much because I enjoy taking them as transport along with airplanes. I do not know Japanese well and hopes someday I can travel like you do in Japan, such as taking ferry from a place to Hokkaido or other parts of Japan. For traveling around UK and Europe, I did either by coach or trains, and most of the time I would be so tired and sleep all the way :D If you have not, I like to suggest you to cruise on M/S Nippon Maru by Mitsui OSK Lines. I love that vessel, and 1 of the things I had enjoyed is the grand bath facilities. Another tip to share, if you or anyone is cruising internationally, please go to the top deck to look at the flags. It will always show the flag of the next arrival country.
Love your videos, always watching them from France (and missing Japan so much...) Regarding european ferries, I have taken the one from Stockholm to Helsinki (around 16 hours of travel). Both city are very nice and the ride was quiet enjoyable. If you have the money, take a captain's deck cabin with a balcony. Otherwise every individual cabin are nice.
From watching your videos over the last many months, I think one could go to Japan just to travel on all of the ferries and still have an excellent vacation 🙂👍🛳️

That bathroom and bedroom looked so comfortable! I would love to have room service and not have to go to the dining room or restaurant. Your lunch looked amazing. I would have eaten every last drop of that big container of soup.
I went on one of the Silja Seranade / Silja Symphony ships from Stockholm to Helsinki and back in the summer of 2018. It was quite nice, though except for the several hours going through the Stockholm archipelago you will mostly just see open ocean. I did at least get some nice photos of the ship being completely surrounded by fog one morning :) The inside was clean and comfortable with a good breakfast and some decent restaurants. I think it took about 17 hours one way, then 6 hours ashore and then about 17 hours back again for a total of maybe 40 hours. The Stockholm ferry terminal had a check-in desk specifically for Japanese tourist groups, so they probably get a decent number of Japanese tourists now and then.
The Northlink ferries from Aberdeen to Orkney and Shetland Isles in Scotland. Very wild and beautiful places with rugged landscapes, artists, amazing knitwear, Scotch and lots of sheep. Just maybe not in winter as the North Sea can be really, really rough. Not Europe, but the Alaska Ferry from Bellingham in Washington state to Juneau or Ketchikan in Alaska, travels the Inside Passage along the western edge of Canada. Not as deluxe as this ferry, but the scenery is spectacular! The trip takes two and 1/2 days. When I was young, I would take it as close to mid-summer as possible and buy passage that allowed us to sleep outside on the deck. With the sun only setting for a few hours each night, it was the best way to not miss one little bit of the scenery…

I live in Germany and have been very often in different parts of Norway. You can go there by train, but also by ship. I prefer the ferry of Color-Line, which runs daily from Kiel in northern Germany to Oslo. The departure from Kiel is at 2p.m. and it's arriving in Oslo on the next morning at 10 a.m.. It's really a good journey through the islands of Denmark up to the north! 🙂 I also enjoy the journey back to Kiel, when the ferry goes along the wide Oslo-Fjord to the south! Departure in Oslo is also 2 p.m. I enjoyed the journey back home, too.
I once worked for a band called Julien-K and we toured with a band called Mindless Self Indulgence. We ended up travelling via ferry from Stockholm to Turku - it took about 10/11 hours but it was amazing

I really like your ferry trips. We don’t have so many cruising opportunities where we are. 🛥 Your room here reminds me of the one you had on the Sunflower Sapporo, but a little nicer. But I think the view you had on the Kitakami (the business hotel-style room) was the best.
Thanks for another great video - they always make me nostaligic for Japanese trains. Your cabin on the ferry looked fantastic - as did the meals. I am glad you enjoyed the trip. I agree with many comments below on ferries in Europe. There are lots of scenic routes in the Baltic. I think coming into Stockholm through the hundreds of islands is really scenic - I have taken the ferry from Tallinn, but there are links from Finland etc also.
In Baltic Sea mostly, I bet, (between Scandinavia’s capitals incl. Germany, Russia etc.) a lot of lines for ferry traveling. I have had a super calm trip between St.Petersburg-Helsinki-Stockholm-Tallin. Each new day new country. It was cheap ‘n’ cozy. My last trip was transfer from Denmark to Germany: bus-ferry-bus. So there is many options and definitely not expensive for travellers.
At least on this run, you get to experience a "day at sea" with some scenery to pass the time. Most of the others featured have been just "overnight" with little daylight.
Hello Kuga’ Travel. It’s true - Oslo Båden ( Oslo Ferry ) is known to be a party boat. It’s a 48 hours long round-trip where you arrive in Oslo the next day, get a about 6-7 hours there to sightseeing and then head back to Copenhagen. The boat is a party central 🙈😂 Lots of music and lots of alcoholic beverages ie beers, soft drinks with vodka etc ect! Long list and it’s fairly cheap as well :-) You should try it next time and if you do, pm me and I’ll give you info and such
Looks like those meals you had were a big step up from the usual curry rice and Salisbury steak in your other ferry videos. Must have been nice to have the whole place to yourself.
I've taken the Helsinki to Stockholm ferry. For dinner there's a tap for you to drink as much wine and beer as you want lol. There's also a night club in it. BTW I appreciate your video style. Many youtuber are too eager to put their face in the video which is fine, but your style makes me feel like I am traveling by myself :)
I took a ferry from Greece to Italy in 2014 and it was really great! i wouldn't recommend if you get seasick because it moved a lot but it wasn't so bad! I didn't pay for it so I don't know the price but it didn't seem like a bad deal for whatever the organizers paid.

Wünsche Dir einen schönen Tag 😚 bleibt gesund 🥰 und lasst Euch verwöhnen.
Your videos always comfort my soul
Wanna visit Japan again asap!!!!!!!
So many ferry lines here in northern europe. Example Helsinki To Stockholm/Tallinn/Travemunde/St. Petersburg and other more.
I can always relaxing when I am watching your video.
日本人ですが英語のチャンネルで楽しませてもらっています☺️
Wooow what a beautiful luxury ferry 👌🔝🤩🤩 everything looks so comfortable 😃 thanks for sharing it with us 🥰🥰
Wow that looks like a great ferry. I always enjoy your ferry videos.
I also enjoy the journey back to Kiel, when the ferry goes along the wide Oslo-Fjord to the south! Departure in Oslo is also 2 p.m.
I enjoyed the journey back home, too.
I have seen a lot of ferry videos, first time I see a dog. Wow about the trains going underneath the ocean.
I really enjoy watching your videos. I wish you can add more description of each journey! Thanks!
Thank you, dear!
I love all of your videos 😍🤩
Thank you very much for sharing this fantastic trip. I wish I could be there....
I once worked for a band called Julien-K and we toured with a band called Mindless Self Indulgence. We ended up travelling via ferry from Stockholm to Turku - it took about 10/11 hours but it was amazing
This guy's videos make me happy.
Thanks for bringing japan before my eyes watching it comfortably whilst sitting or sleeping thanks japan especially Tokyo and Hong Kong has always fascinated me since my childhood don’t know why,it did Hong Kong is done Tokyo is yet ahead but I never miss your videos and wish to meet you if I visit japan 🙏❓
Your videos are so calming. Some places's name are quite familiar to me because I enjoy Detective Conan and some other manga/anime (笑)
Hope this channel hit 100k subscriber soon! This is so amazing and the most calming traveling vlog I've ever found so far.
I really like your ferry trips. We don’t have so many cruising opportunities where we are. 🛥
Your room here reminds me of the one you had on the Sunflower Sapporo, but a little nicer. But I think the view you had on the Kitakami (the business hotel-style room) was the best.
The room environment is so complete and orderly. Heaven?
Thank you for sharing. Hopefully the pandemic will end and I can get back to visiting Japan again.
Another great video, keep up the good work.
Kindest regards from the UK!
I love watching your videos! Thanks for sharing them!
The boat is a party central 🙈😂
Lots of music and lots of alcoholic beverages ie beers, soft drinks with vodka etc ect! Long list and it’s fairly cheap as well :-)
You should try it next time and if you do, pm me and I’ll give you info and such
Looks like those meals you had were a big step up from the usual curry rice and Salisbury steak in your other ferry videos. Must have been nice to have the whole place to yourself.
Judging by the decor, it looks like they have not refurbished that ship since the 1980's. 😛Aesthetics aside, I always enjoy your videos. Thank you.
Just as I was looking for something to watch! Another amazing video, thanks!
$624.00 for room in Canadian dollars worth it!!!!!! Loving this video 😊❤️🇬🇧🇨🇦
I am so glad I found my way to your page. I started with train traveling videos in America & Canada and then got here :) Let us know how the Olympics change your travels and I hope to go to Japan soon!
ありがとうございました
Nice video! From the length of trip I would compare it with the Kiel - Oslo or Travemünde - Helsinki routes. Both are a 'must' for European ferry lovers, Kiel - Oslo tries to give you a cruise feeling.
These ferry boat ride trips are my favorite 🤩
It wouldn't have been a Japanese ferry without all those vending machines! Going to watch your 40 hour journey now.
