This has to be the best video on the solo loop ever! I’ve watched many videos on solo loops before and even asked a couple of forums, but this is the only video that answered my question: “Will it fit Series 3?”. Thank you so much for this video!
Yeah, that, and the fact that they actually shrank back to original size is incredible…It’s Apple so I highly doubt that the bands are simply silicone or silicone and recycled material. They have to have added a “secret to the sauce”.

I get that you were comparing the density of the solo loop and sport band when you cut the sport band to size but honestly isn't it a bit more relevant to know the weight of the full sport band? Since we wouldn't be wearing a cut one on our wrist. Plus you could compute density for both the loop and the band from the dimensions you already measured.
And using the kettle bell in those socks, and so close to the window when he was s doing his weight lifting....Was just a little freaking me out too! Lol safety
I'd say the only issue with the braided solo loops is how they stretch over time. I have two, the pride edition and the product red band, my size was just between 10 and 11 depending on how tight I pulled, I ended up switching out the size 10 for a size 9, luckily they did it, because it stretched enough to not fit very well. I believe I went with a size 9 for the pride band and it's still stretched out much more than I'd like, for that design I could've gone with an 8. Less comfortable initially, but in the long run when it stretches, it's much better.
All I could think of during the workout stuff was that king of the hill episode where the beefy dudes want to get bill back in shape and randy savages voice. Ohh yeeeahhhh!
Super useful. You do realise that the hand washing feature can be switched off by either going into the Watch app, scroll down till you see Handwashing, and then turning off Handwashing timer. Or on the Apple Watch by going into Settings, scrolling down and selecting Handwashing and turning off the Handwashing timer.
This is really really nice review, I watched the entire video without skipping a second! Appreciate your effort, including the sweat, for making such a comprehensive video about the solo loop. I think Apple should pay you for such a quality "advertisement". I was worried that the solo loop (both braided and rubber) will get loose over time, so I didn't order it in the first place. Now you've changed my mind, with the ability to withhold 100lbs and it actually recovered from the 0.5 mm stretch the second day. I think it will last for years. Aside from my appreciation, I was wondering how does those band feel if I want to sleep with them? Does it as "breathable" as those nylons? I would recommend add that part in your video since apple watch support sleep tracking now. I bet I am not the only one want to know about it.
I've read multiple people stating that a braided solo loop feels a bit looser on the wrist than a regular solo loop of the same size. They recommend going down one size. I found my right size solo loop and want to buy a braided one now and would like to know if I should order one size down. (I have no Apple Stores nearby).
Great review. Very comprehensive and informative. Braided loop for me. Did you have any issue with the band sizing? Some other reviewers.have recommended downsizing.
With the silicone one, I’d be worried about it wearing out and snapping one day and my watch smashing on the ground. The braided one seems nice but you can’t adjust how loose or tight it is which means you either have to like it or not.
After this video, I think if something was to snap the band off your wrist, you're probably in a situation where the state of your Apple Watch is probably the least of your concerns.
I personally do not like the solo loops. But this review here is by far the best review on the silicon bands and solo loops on youtube. Man, this guy is serious.

I’ve heard that there are some sizing issues with these two bands. Both the rubber & the fabric loops. Some are saying they are two loose when you order the recommended size. My wrist measures 7” around. Just wanted to be sure which size to get.
It is not "fair" to cut a band and test it. You should weigh a band the way it is supposed to weigh on your wrist- the whole thing. Other than that, good video!

Great video. I ordered the black solo loop and really I love its comfort but unfortunately I am allergic to it, I had no problem with the original sport band on my series 2 but the solo is going back. I tried several ways to clean it from possible manufacturing residue and still the rash comes.

I’m honestly impressed at some $10 fake braided loops from aliexpress, they feel amazing, even if the lugs are a bit wobbly, still a hard buy the $99 price tag Apple asks for them... That said, I went to buy more from the same seller and it is nowhere to be found now, lmao, it’s not been even a month! Might consider some fake solo loops next though.
I ordered the silicone infinity sport loop band from Amazon for a little less than $10 with free shipping. I haven’t gotten my package yet. But it’s was cheaper than spending over $50 for it from Apple. I got the color English Lavender. I thought about getting the braided infinity Solo Loop band but I wasn’t sure how well it would hold up if it got wet since I like to wear my watch when I shower or go swimming. they say that you can get it wet but it takes a really long time to dry.
I keep coming back over and over to this video. So much useful information! I had never seen stress test such as these. I’m happy to confirm the quality of Apple products. I recently purchased a Solo loop to go with my RED Apple Watch. In my opinion the Braided wins for looks and the Solo Loop for comfort. And the Braided is plenty comfortable as it is but the material of the Solo is sooo soft and feels sooo nice that I want to eat it! Now for the cons of the Solo: even a bit of workout or a slight raise in the temperature makes my wrist sweat like crazy! Man, these things don’t breathe AT ALL! Is like putting that part of my wrist in a miniature sauna. So far my workouts had NEVER made my Braided loop moist. Not even a little bit.

Set a reminder that is triggered by the GPS location of your home. I did this at the start of the pandemic and right as I make the turn onto my street the phone (and now watch) dings telling me to wash my hands. Super helpful, it's legit reminded me hundreds of times.

I was so happy to see you review these. I want a solo loop but I am waiting till the back order isn't so long. Side note. I am so worried for the window next to where you do the kettle bell exercises lol. edit: I was happy they came out with the solo loop because I use a MacBook and I am always really worried about the buttons scratching my wrist rest area. To the point that I end up taking my watch off a lot when working and it kind of defeats the purpose of having it. Im honestly surprised it took them this long to come up with something that didn't have a metal piece on the bottom of the wrist other than the sport loop.
Got my first apple watch, and it arrived today. Black aluminum 44mm with black solo loop. Size was perfect off the paper sizer. A number 8 for me. I bought a Nike strap just in case the loop was a misfit, but I like the thinness of the solo loop over the Nike one so far. I’ll probably get some more solo loop colors.

YO HO! Great review bro! One issue: For a fair comparison between the Sport band and the Solo loop, you can't cut the Sport to match the size of the Solo. Because its irrelevant when in use, right? You're not gonna wear a snipped Sport band in any scenario ( I hope)..... The weight has to be compared as worn, not inch for inch.

I've been using the Braided band for the last week and it's super comfy. I didn't realize I ordered my Series 6 with the same band and have been rocking both devices with the same band and my only thought is that I ~might have been able to go with a size smaller.
I went to the original white sport band .. for series 6 ur video makes me feel I made the right choice when u take it off it looks like u can easily slip it off 👍 looks comfy but I’m glad I made my choice thanks for the info dude appreciate ur content lol

How breathable is the braided loop compared to the Nike silicon sport band or the Nike sport loop?
About the same on the Sport Loop. I have no idea on the Nike sport band....though I'd guess it would be better.
The kettlebell part was super useful to hear. I do the same with the regular sport loop when in doing kb work

I like the idea of these bands, but I’m not sure I’d like stretching the band for applying and removing the watch. But they look super comfy! 😁👍 Monty is such a good boy 😍🐶❤️
I've been using the Braided band for the last week and it's super comfy. I didn't realize I ordered my Series 6 with the same band and have been rocking both devices with the same band and my only thought is that I ~might have been able to go with a size smaller.

I went to the original white sport band .. for series 6 ur video makes me feel I made the right choice when u take it off it looks like u can easily slip it off 👍 looks comfy but I’m glad I made my choice thanks for the info dude appreciate ur content lol
