This is a pretty honest mans restoration, get it road worthy-- and go from there. I just bought 1992 YJ, and found your channel from the rear frame repair kit manufacturer hosting your videos.
Hi Elin, great video and good progress, (not far off getting it back on four wheels again and out of your lovely garage!) You scared the hell out of me when you lit your cigarette lighter by that fuel tank🔥! - Stay well my friend 🙏😊
Two thirds of the way through (or more) and the end is in sight. The big test will be if you are happy with the end result as a driver or if the vehicle disappoints. Always a big unknown but the kids may love it anyway :-) .
Great job so far I am working on the same vehicle but a 92. Question I noticed you did not put back the straps on the gas tank, are they needed as mine may need to be replaced.
Elin , I didn't see you put in the gas tank straps. Also please don't trust those self tapping screws on the back. I would put bolts with nuts in there. That hardware is what holds not only the skid plate but the tank to the jeep. When there's a full tank of fuel there is a lot of weight. Don't trust self tapping screws for that please.
Gas Tank Straps??? You need those on your tank then the skid plate goes on after!! The straps hold your tank onto your frame...9 pounds per gallon ...Heavy
I did my 98 GC a few years back...changed the fuel module in tank ( bad pump ) and my straps were rotted ( one holding only ) ... They hook on at back and attach with fasteners at front to bear the load of fuel... My skid plate bolted down not touching tank ( could rub and wear through ...) ...they list gas tank straps on Rockauto for your Jeep
Always good to watch, the kids were cracking me up
Well done Elin, you’re getting there...!!! Kind regards, Richard.
Lucky very lucky you got a result on the suspension....
Good repairs, that thing should be a blast to drive!
nice to watch your videos ,i am doing a 93 yj

Thank you for the nice vid! Your kids love the Jeep!
Nice work Looks great and you are making good progress, even better now that the springs are on the way .
First. Enjoy all your videos! I learn something new every one. Thanks again.
Looking good. If you haven’t got there yet, let me know when you are installing the rear springs and axle and I’ll come lend a hand.

Love your down to earth videos Elin. Noticed your Husky crawler - exactly like mine from Halfords UK.
Great progress Elin!
Really enjoy your videos 👍 and yes it did look like a Molotov cocktail hehe , thx
Crocs are excellent footwear for 7 degrees C garage mechanics!
Good job, keep safe
I'm curious about how the self tapping screws have held up over time? I don't think I would have used self tappers myself but if they worked out...
Molotoff Beer Keg! Big a boom!!!
Hi Elin, I’m really enjoying watching you videos and progress! Thanks for sharing these. What rust converter do you use, please?

Great thanks, I had to cut mine and about to buy new ones.
Did you repair the floor where the frame bolts on at the back? As you are reassembling maybe you did not film it?
Hey do you have any leads on some hard full doors for a Jeep yj 1994 hard top

Not on a YJ. The straps attach to the skid plate, not the frame. It would be 100000x easier if it used straps and then a skid plate below.
2 extra pairs of hands you could've put to use .
