I am a black woman who uses, Discoloration Serum and Niacinamide Brightening toner and it leaves my skin clean, smooth, and my dark spots very well. What works for you and what works for me is two different things. These products well for MY skin.
No one does product reviews better than Dr. dray. I just love hearing about the general background information on industry studies vs body of evidence vs marketing claims and cosmeceutical manufacturing practices.
Cassandra Bankson is another great Channel to watch as well. She is an Esthetician and has great SkinCare product knowledge like Dr. Dray and Dr. Shareene Idriss. I watch all three before buying a product.
I contacted Good Molecules about the Super Peptide Serum a few weeks ago because it has been out of stock for a while and was wondering when it would be back and they said they are currently working on reformulating it so hopefully they take out the fragrant essential oils like they have done with their other serums. They seem to do a good job at listening to their customers.

CeraVe PM is great. The ordinary products just wreaked havoc on my skin. Following Dr Dray's simple routine of CeraVe moisturizing cleanser, CeraVe PM moisturizer, and petrolatum saved my skin and immediately started healing
The cleansing balm is really good. I’ve repurchased it multiple times. Takes off all my sunscreen and makeup (including waterproof mascara) and it washes off easily leaving no film or noticeable residue.
And i totally agree! It takes out foundation, sunscreen and waterproof mascara! And what i like about it doesn't have like gritty stuff and heavy fragrance that irritate the nasal and give headaches and itchy face like most cleansing balms. Good Molecules is really good!
The brightening toner, the serum and pineapple exfoliating powder are perfect for my brown skin. I have sensitive, combination, acne-prone skin and my skin responded really well to these three. 10/10 for all three. ❤
I have mild Rosacea. I am 51, with hyperpigmentation on cheeks & forehead. It's been 1 month using Good Molecules: Niacinamide Brightening Toner, Discoloration Correcting Serum, Overnight Exfoliating TX & Squalane Oil. No bad side effects & no allergies. Currently awaiting my shipment with: Travel Size Instant Cleansing Balm, Rosewater Daily Cleansing Gel & Pineapple Exfoliating Powder.
I really like the cleansing balm. It removes makeup well without leaving a residue or irritating my skin. The silicone-free priming moisturizer works well for me in the summer.
Thanks for the review of this brand - I was sitting in the edge of my seat to hear about the Super Peptide Serum, which you passed on at the end of the video because it contained bergamot oil, but looking at the ingredients of it from a few years ago vs. now, they’re different! The Citrus Aurantium Bergamia Fruit Oil is nowhere to be seen in the reformulation! 🎉
I’ve been waiting for this one! I’ve been using the instant cleansing balm for a year and a half and it is amazing. The smallest amount cleans off everything from no makeup days to my heavier days- even mascara! Also no weird residue left behind. I’ve been hesitant to try anything else from the brand until you reviewed as I’m now a super minimalist with the retin a I’m on
I’ve asked you to review this brand a few times on IG, I had to stop because I didn’t want to be annoying, so I’m super happy to see this come up! That discoloration serum is great for clearing up redness from my daughters acne. We have definitely noticed improvement, not so much for my dark spots from the sun. Thanks for the great video, have a great day!
I can appreciate your honesty while reviewing products. Many influencers or you tubers are driven by a paycheck from different sponsors . Thank you so much for your honesty, and your super informative videos.
I really love the cleansing balm. It is effective, lovely to use, and rinses much easier/cleaner than many other balms I’ve used. And the price point is excellent for the amount of product you get.
Several years ago I fell for the hype around rosehip seed oil and used it every night for a year. It did absolutely nothing for my skin. Did not care for the 'earthy' smell of it either. Hope you are staying warm Dr. Dray, saw on the news all the snow and cold in Texas this week.
I ordered several products from this brand and happy with all of them. Specifically wanted the powdered enzyme cleanser because other brands charge too much. I actually really like the product and it’s not irritating. Papain is common in enzyme cleansers and googled it - says it can actually help with inflammation and slough off dead skin cells.
I wish people would talk more about enzymes as exfoliants. Elta md foaming cleanser and Cerave both use them and they seem less irritating than acids, imo.
I received a sample of the cleansing balm in an order from Beautylish. Loved it so much I bought two tubs of it. It works amazing & doesn't leave a hard to wash off film on the skin. Great first step in a double cleanse.
I had to leave a comment on this older video because I am going through one of my infrequent "I think I need a new serum in my skincare routines!" periods and wanted a refresher on your take on the Good Molecules products before I ordered. And I love so much that you always at some point in these videos remind us that fewer products in our routines are generally better ... because that always makes me pause and question if I *really* need to add a serum to my basic sunscreen / morning antioxidant / evening tretinoin routine and, invariably, decide that I do not. So, THANK YOU, once again! 💜
I have been a vegan for years and find it hard to buy products that suit my life style. I went on accutane at 32 and still had skin problems after. I want to thank you so much. I follow and listen to you closely and you have changed my life. My skin is amazing and I even look years younger. I get excited to watch your channel and so glad you take the time to help people.
I've tried a lot of GM products, & overall I like the brand. I think my favorite have been the Niacinimide serum, hyrulonic serum,& the Bakuchoil(sp?) oil. The daily brightening did nothing for me, & the discoloration serum didn't do anything, but I tried it 2 years ago & they reformulated it. So I decided to try it again, so we'll see how it works
9:01 I don't know why they don't list it on their website, but on the box packaging for the Overnight Exfoliating Treatment it lists glycolic acid at 8.05%, lactic acid at 1.04% and salicylic acid at 0.10%
those are such weirdly specific numbers lol I was really hoping for the salicylic acid to be at least 0.5% since that's the clinical percentage to help with acne
Whew - I love this brand so I’m glad for the most part of these recommendations. I know you don’t like eye cream but I appreciate ones that are inexpensive because I’m 45 and I like paying attention to that area. Love the cleanser I’m on my 3rd bottle and love it. I also appreciate when they change something- the note it on the packaging. Love the price and appreciate that the packaging is pretty.
I've fallen in love with the yerba mate eye cream tbh. Love how my eyes look about 10 minutes after applying it and I'm a 50 yo sugar loving smoker so it has a lot to contend with.
Lol, she doesn’t like eye creams because shes not 45 Lolol. I am, like you, and all of sudden I LOVE them. When age starts staring back at you, boy do priorities change.
Isn't her timing impeccable?? I got this bad rash on my neck, and just two days later she did a video on neck rashes and neck creams!! I just love her! i think I'm addicted!
I love this brand! So affordable and effective. I regularly use the cleansing balm priming moisturiser and overnight exfoliator. And now you've sold me on the eye patches too!!
Came here to see what she thought of the hydrogel eye patches as I just bought some to try. Imagine my surprise when I hear her say they’re similar to the ones I’ve been using from Derma E! The Good Molecules ones are cheaper so I think I will be using those more often, but it’s great to know she likes both of them. I think they’re both fantastic as well!
As I’m nearing my 40th birthday in less than 6 months I have been focusing on having an arsenal of skincare products that address my needs instead of makeup to cover up my problem areas. Wearing a mask changed my routine from heavy foundation to tinted moisturizer and every time I try and go for a “glam” look it feels terrible to me!! I’m so happy to be embracing my natural self! 🥰
Dr. Dray I so curious to hear your thoughts on a new product at Ulta. The Pur 4 in 1 Sculpting Concealer-I believe that is what it’s called. This product has retinol in it. I’m interested to hear your thoughts on cosmetics mixing in skincare ingredients. Thank you!
I would find it super helpful if you could, at the end, mention again the products that are good or worth considering. Just a really quick re-cap. Or perhaps indicate them somehow in the description. Thank you for considering it. Really appreciate all the work you do for us!
I tried niacinamide toner totally made my skin itch and I developed major breakouts terrible. Thank you for going over the skim care products Dr. Gray greatly appreciated 🙏😊
YOU GUYS! I took a chance and bought the Colorescience Sunforgettable Total Protection Face Shield SPF 50 that Dr. Dray recommended. Finally a tinted moisturizer that matches my skin tone! I'm not going to stop buying the Cerave spf 30 but this Colorescience stuff is really good. A bit of a splurge but worth it!
Yeah my skin can’t tolerate anymore than 5% when it comes to niacinamide. It’s one of my favorite ingredients, but if I use a higher percentage it breaks me out soooo bad.
Thanks for you honesty. Give me the ability to take a better decision while getting products for a sensitive skin with lot of allergic reaction to long list of ingredients in one product.
I’ve tried the cleansing balm and it was just as effective as the Farmacy green clean or Clinique take the day off balm but I went through it too fast so I switched to the iUnik cleansing oil.
The cleansing balm is great. The pineapple exfoliate may be the worst product ever, but it worked like magic!!! I make a paste, massage for like 15 sec: skin so smooth, no blackheads or clogged pores, no irritation, no dryness. Niacinamide serum did not irritate my skin at all ( even after niacinamide toner). I usually spray rose water right after applying Hyaluronic acid before it absorbed. I love their primer and super peptide serum. Is it good, is it bad, I don't know, I just like it :)
I liked the cleansing balm, but I found that, compared to my favorite balm from Clinique, it didn't spread as easily or rinse as clean. It's a tiny difference, however. I guess I just preferred the Clinique balm experience.
The cleansing balm combined with the rose water cleansing gel is an awesome combination!! I wear makeup to cover rosacea, and the two of them together get rid of all the makeup and mascara.
Good Molecules cleansing balm fits perfect for my skin! I highly recommended! And will go back again and make it a stable routine for removing everything on my face and importantly, eyes! I tried many cleansing balms with heavy perfumes strange scents that are too strong for my nasal and give me headaches, makes my face itchy and suck my face dry and makes my eye (left eye swell with contact dermatitis and eyes burning and also red) ...a bit of grittiness ( exfoliation)to it...just my 2 scents here.
I use the 2nd bar cleanser you mentioned on my face , body when needed & for my delicate Japanese Fude artist brushes. It’s a highly versatile bar! Love those hydrogel eye patches too! Good molecules turns out to be a American concept, but created in a lab in South Korea , hence it’s a k-beauty brand, I wasn’t aware of this until I read the details. Thanks, Doc.
Dr., Dray, I started taking your advice and created a (mostly) fragrance free skin care routine for about 2 months now, and on my zoom calls I've had comments on my skin being "glowing" !!!! Thank you for sharing your professional knowledge with us! You are awesome! Also, you look beautiful and your skin as always is dewy and radiant!
I purchased items from their November Black Friday Sale. I have the pineapple powder, the niacinamide toner, discoloration serum, the silicone free priming moisturizer. I enjoy the serum and the moisturizer.
I’m surprised you reacted to the toner, I was sent a bunch of these products to try out and fell in love with it! Such an upgrade from the one I was trying from the Ordinary, which is definitely sticky.
They recently came out with a new retinol. It seems pretty good from what I’ve seen but I haven’t bought it so idk. I would like to know your opinion on it.
The toner also made my akin tingle/burn a bit. I don’t have particularly sensitive skin either so I stopped since my concern is hyperpigmentation and any irritation will counter/prolong my journey.
Few days ago before finding dr dray channel I used to listen to audio books but now I find myself listening to her’s day an night , the more I listen the more I get interested ❤️
I appreciate this review dr.Dray! I use a lot of their products because inexpensive. I share many of your experiences with these products. Happy to know more about the science behind it. Thanks!
How come you are the first person to tell me to put on Hyalauronic acid while my face is wet. I’ve been using it for 2 years and have no real irritation.
Not related to this, I'd love to see you review some silicone-free hair care products from brands like Briogeo and L'oreal. This could also include products that have the unstable silicones that do not coat the hair and require a clarifying shampoo to remove. As someone in a very dry climate, I struggle to find a variety of products for the hair that are silicone-free but also very hydrating. I loved your videos on water soluble and non-water-soluble silicones, and found it VERY helpful.
Same. I live in the desert, and it took me years to find a silicone free hair product set. I use innersense. Took about two months to adjust to no silicones, but it’s been wonderful.
Hi Dr Dray, I've been diagnosed having scrotal eczema, do you have any tips to control the eczema on there? I was given steroids and the flare subsides, I'm maintaining it with aveeno eczema therapy balm.
I just bought their eye patches! They are really nice and cooling and I enjoy using them on the morning but sometimes the serum left on my skin balls up a bit
Loved the video as always❤️ just FYI the cleansing balm has a scent and its not bad but not good either. I have no idea what is in the ingredients to make it smell like that but I was surprised
Hiiiii!!! I'm a 16 year old Filipina girl who struggles with really bad hyperpigmentation on my armpits and inner thighs. Ever since I was living in the Philippines, I kept being ridiculed on how dark my armpits were and how dark I was in general. When I moved to America when I was 11, I never wore short sleeves again. A few months ago, I waxed my armpits for the first time because I heard it can lighten the armpits than shaving. I did the waxing poorly and left my armpits very sore and red straight up like what a sunburn feels like. Once the pain healed, the burns turned darker, thus making my hyperpigmentation on my armpits worse. I've tried many products but none seemed to work. I bought the Good Molecules hyperpigmentation serum thing in hopes of helping my bad hyperpigmentation. I've always wanted to finally wear short sleeves. I hope this brand works or else I might have to invest in an armpit laser to remove my hyperpigmentation.
Hey Dr. D. Please be safe in that freezing weather. We are watching you all on the news. Oh and tell your Mom hello and that we are sending her our love.
I alternate the aha/bha exfoliant with retinol; I like how my skin is looking. I also use squalane and rosehip seed oil alternate mornings... I'm enjoying good molecules products.
I am a black woman who uses, Discoloration Serum and Niacinamide Brightening toner and it leaves my skin clean, smooth, and my dark spots very well. What works for you and what works for me is two different things. These products well for MY skin.

Do you use the discoloration serum under your eyes?

i’ve been looking for niacinimide in 4%! so glad the good molecules has one that you approve of bc the ordinary’s 10% breaks me out :(((
CeraVe pm is also a low percentage niacinamide
The ordinary irritates my skin so much :(
It caused PIH for me … I’m hoping good molecules can help reverse that since it is recent

I usually spray rose water right after applying Hyaluronic acid before it absorbed. I love their primer and super peptide serum. Is it good, is it bad, I don't know, I just like it :)
So you love the pineapple exfoliate?? Tell me more about this and your experiences please!!
Excited for this one! I would love a video on your experiences as a derm for those wanting to enter the field 😊
I wear makeup to cover rosacea, and the two of them together get rid of all the makeup and mascara.
i need to try it
Does the balm remove mascara well?
Yes, the balm removes mascara .
Omg - same with the niacinamide serum!! Totally ruined my moisture barrier and now I’m in the process of repair.
The cleansing balm is da bomb!!!! I love it and use it as a pre cleanse when I’m taking makeup off.
Dr. Dray, thank you so much for a comprehensive review on a cruelty free and reasonably priced product line. 🙏🏻
Hey Dr Dray! They actually list out percentages of most of their product ingredients in that section of the website! Hope that helps!
Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️
Comprehensive and so educational! Thank you Dr. Dray!
I have used the Instant Cleansing Balm and I loved it! Removes makeup so well.
Your skin is perfection and my skin goals. I can’t get over how stunning you are
Have and still using the cleansing balm. I love it! Great to remove makeup or to use as a double cleanser routines
The toner is so good.
Thank you for this review. Glad to know about the tackiness in some of these products. Hate that feeling and would immediately wash it off.
Love the cleansing balm - rinses clean and leaves skin feeling hydrated! Try it out!
The cleansing balm is really good. It’s great for removing makeup and waterproof mascara.
Happy Tuesday Dr Dray! Stay warm and hopefully you have water and electricity! All love here in Texas ❤️
I am lucky to have those things right now! Hope you are staying safe & warm
Hi dray ,i m using discloration serum of this product ,and its so ausome , i m so happy
Finally!!! Was just about to place my order and your video came just in time. Thank you Dr. Dray❤❤❤
Hope you like it!
I've tried the cleansing balm and it works really well. It does have an odd smell to it though.
The Instant Cleansing Balm caused dermatitis on my eyes. I was so disappointed, worked great on my face.
@Mallika J Disappointing...
Thanks!
Thank you for the review Doc! May I recommend NIOD for a future brand review? 👀 that one is really intriguing to me.
I second this.
Some of their ingredients sound quite bamboozling, and it would be good to get Dr Dray's take on the line.
Not doctors but Gothamista and Penn Smith Skincare have reviewed this line.
I ADORE A FEW PRODUCTS FROM NIOD!
How come you are the first person to tell me to put on Hyalauronic acid while my face is wet. I’ve been using it for 2 years and have no real irritation.
Thank you for reviewing this brand! lol I actually really like the Pineapple exfoliating powder
Happy Tuesday Dr Dray and peeps! I hope it is sunny where you all are because Chicago just got a ton of 🌨 ☃️❄️❄️☀️☀️☀️☀️
You too!!
Toner niacin-amide % is 3. It has 3% Niacinamide
Hi Dr Dray, I've been diagnosed having scrotal eczema, do you have any tips to control the eczema on there? I was given steroids and the flare subsides, I'm maintaining it with aveeno eczema therapy balm.
The Cleansing Balm is FANTASTIC!!!!!!! I love it!!!!!!!
I just bought their eye patches! They are really nice and cooling and I enjoy using them on the morning but sometimes the serum left on my skin balls up a bit
This happened to me too! It looked like my skin was peeling. I don’t know if I left it on a little too long?
Hello from the 2 degree temperature desert of Kansas! Can’t wait to take a deep dive into this vid. Thanks again Dr. Dray. Love ya to bits!
stay warm
Loved the video as always❤️ just FYI the cleansing balm has a scent and its not bad but not good either. I have no idea what is in the ingredients to make it smell like that but I was surprised
I love this channel . Thank you for the daily vids DR Dray
Happy Tuesday, Everyone!!
Happy Tuesday!
Enjoy your day 😊
Thanks, you too
Greetings Sarahhh Beth hope u r well n Happy Tuesday😀👍💜....
@Nora Durst the best 👍
Hey Dr. D. Please be safe in that freezing weather. We are watching you all on the news. Oh and tell your Mom hello and that we are sending her our love.
I feel like im back in school and I need to take notes of everything you're saying 😂
I alternate the aha/bha exfoliant with retinol; I like how my skin is looking. I also use squalane and rosehip seed oil alternate mornings... I'm enjoying good molecules products.
