Your incessant requests for 480fps or 240fps are tiresome. Dude, there are hard limits to the RAM required and file IO write speed. A good 1080p jpeg is 3-400KB, *240, that's 80-100MB/s write speed required. If you somehow manage to capture the sensor output into memory, process it from raw to jpeg so the quality isn't poop and spit it towards the storage. Protip, unless a body has CF Express (or USB SSD option), the camera won't be able to support those superhigh frame rates - assuming the processor/board can do everything needed before the actual save to storage happens.
@@cameraconspiracies don't be coy, it's only for 2s@1136x384, do the math and you'll end up in the same place; assuming a 100% jpeg will weigh 90-100KB*960 that's almost 90MB/s, which it doesn't even write directly to the card; I assume the compression is worse and it's cached in whatever 128MB of RAM that camera has. No manufacturer will add the cost of such a feature (probably $25-50 if the body already supports CFE and only needs extra RAM or double that to add CFE too) for a feature so few need/require/use.

The Sigma's continuous auto focus for videos is unstable above apertures of f1.8, so I had to buy a Tilta focus wheel to remotely set the manual focus when shooting myself. Otherwise the focus keeps hunting and breathing. Also, the bokeh is completely uneven (left half of image is already blurred while right half is still sharp), so my background looks uneven. Hey Camera Conspiracies, when you were testing animal eye detect, you didn't see the box, because in Sony aps-c cameras, when you enter 1080p 120fps, the autofocus reverts back to contrast detect. Same goes for Sony's digital clear zoom. If you want to test the animal eye detect, you should do it in 4k 24fps or 1080p up to 60fps. I know those are not magical, but at least you can test if the animal eye detect is any good and if it is worth striving for in the a7IV. Keep up the great work! 😁
@@cameraconspiracies The reason it wasn't recognising your squirrels may be something to do with their colour. I have two cocker spaniels, one black and one gold. Animal eye detect works great on the gold one where there is good contrast between the colour of the animal and its eyes so the image processing can 'see' the eyes. My black dog has very dark eyes so eye detect struggles to detect the eyes, which is understandable. At the end of the day its just a computer program looking for a certain pattern, so if theres no pattern to detect in an image of a black squirrel with black eyes one cant expect miracles. You need to bin those black squirrels and get some grey or red ones! Anyway, thanks for the original, entertaining and intelligent content. p.s. why are all the best camera/video related UA-camrs Canadian? (I'm in the UK).

Your the only one I trust. Could you compare the 20mm 1.8 FF to the 11mm 1.8 on your A7Siii? Could you save the money and weight and go with the APSC option?

Certainly next to the Rokinon/Samyang 12mm f2 would be interesting to compare for Astro/Night performance… the 12mm optical formula is much older of course.

I never understood the hype about ZV-E10. In what way it is better as a vlogging camera comparing to a6600? It has IBIS that is good enough for video. You just have to move mic somewhere else.
It’s like half the size. The zve10 is closer in size to the zv1 than the 6600. It also has an articulating screen. I owned a 6600 and sold it in favor of the zve mostly upon size and weight savings alone.
You were expecting the aps-c primes to cover FF sensor? I can understand that with zooms, but.. wouldn’t they market it as an FE lens in the first place?
@@mihaiserbanescu8676 honestly, the 11f1.8, the 10-20f4, and a nice 24f1.4 should do everything you need except like bird or moon photography. If I could start again, I would do it that way. I almost never shoot longer than a 35mm equivalent.

I had the 16mm and from near focus to infinity, it would just lose itself. sometimes would even forget to focus, it was bad compared to native sony lenses. that`s why I returned the product. the 15mm is what everyone wanted the 16mm sigma to be. can`t wait to get the sony`s.
10-20 is very interesting because it's tiny and probably sharper than the old 10-18, but I like shooting architecture and occasionally in the evening and no OSS is a real issue if you ask me. Not every tunnel, building, etc is lit all that well. The 11mm is interesting though! 15mm is 66% more expensive than the Sigma 16mm. So Sigma killer? Then it must be REALLY good.

I can see Sony contracting you as a consultant / advertising executive 🧐 ...we all know the buttons on the side are for people that get bored with your videos
Your "Noo Yawk" sounded Cockney for some reason. 😂 Not impressed with the active stabilization alone for vlogging. Face it, nothing is really better than an action camera for walking vlogs. I just live with everything being in focus. When I get my R7, though, I'm going to pair it with an adapted EF-S 10-18 and see how that works for vlogging and video. Not the fastest, but it may be the best available option right now for RF-S. P.S. on a cloudy day, the BPM filter just looks like the lens is smudged. That's what I thought it was until I noticed the title.
@@cameraconspiracies the EF/RF adapter works well with stabilized lenses and syncs with the IBIS. I expect no problem with the EF-S 10-18. Turned out, the unstabilized RF 16mm is unusable with the R5 and R6 for vlogging. However, it takes decent photos.

It wasn't showing up, I was filming in 4k 24p when talking about it. It doesn't recognize squirrels.
I have no idea of the significance the the Vegetable Police thing (inside joke I assume) but I have decided I need this t-shirt in my life.
You're too funny dude 😂. Enjoyed the video 🎉
Which ultra wide angle lens do you recommend for indoor real estate videography ?
Maybe ZV-E10's face priority auto exposure brightens face and sky at the same time.. I want the color of the sky to be blue. Can you turn off the face priority auto exposure feature and see the result? Will the face exposure look too bad?
You are so hilarious! Nice video with good information. Thanks!
Looking forward to version 2 of this review with the A6700 camera. 😁
Ahhh! I lived in that exact same Toronto apartment. That flooring and the covered couch and cheap-ass folding table...
All my friends lived in that same apartment. Did the city get a bulk discount on floor Jenga blocks?
Seems likethe 15mm 1.4 have a slightly better bokeh... or am I seeing wrong? What about the 10-20mm? I was thinking this one would be nice as it covers 10-20 but not sure of bokeh
Your the only one I trust. Could you compare the 20mm 1.8 FF to the 11mm 1.8 on your A7Siii? Could you save the money and weight and go with the APSC option?
You saw the results, why would you cripple your a7s III to 1080p 60p?
@@cameraconspiracies actually I have the A7IV so 4k 60 is in crop. Wondering if any of these are worth while specifically for video.
@@sneakergearz Never buy aps-c lenses for full frame cameras, unless you want to cripple your full frame and only use aps-c.
I prefer cloudy days the lighting is much more diffuse and even.
15:20 with cropping that is tinier the M43!
UPDATE: These lenses work perfectly with the new (since this video) Sony fx30, which has IBIS, log gammas and 10bit color. Example with the E PZ 10-20mm f4 handheld: ua-cam.com/video/MR5WYonUQOQ/v-deo.html
Will be interested to see how that 11mm goes for the star geeks
Certainly next to the Rokinon/Samyang 12mm f2 would be interesting to compare for Astro/Night performance… the 12mm optical formula is much older of course.
Actually? The focus lengths with active stabe, are longer, you forgot the 1.5 crop factor already since it's a crop lens and camera
What the..... a remote control skateboard? You used it as a camera slider? lol I got that 16mm that I used with my A6400 but now I have the A7 iii been looking at the Sony 16-35 f.2 for a while now, just so expensive. You have it?
I never understood the hype about ZV-E10. In what way it is better as a vlogging camera comparing to a6600? It has IBIS that is good enough for video. You just have to move mic somewhere else.
It’s like half the size. The zve10 is closer in size to the zv1 than the 6600. It also has an articulating screen. I owned a 6600 and sold it in favor of the zve mostly upon size and weight savings alone.
hi just love all your video can you please recommend me with lens is the right one for a sony a6500 for streaming very small studio
@ 10:00 how did you make that hyper lapse, looks dope.
10:17 what kind of mouse with weird tail is that
"Sloping down to boredom" 😂 Man I love MTF charts, but that got me
Why not use the 11mm in studio? Too much distortion?
You were expecting the aps-c primes to cover FF sensor? I can understand that with zooms, but.. wouldn’t they market it as an FE lens in the first place?
It's my duty to check.
@@cameraconspiracies Fair enough.. I did enjoy your shocked face, btw. Carry on, Sir..
That stormtrooper looking Zhiyun M3 is small enough to carry around with these tiny lenses.
I have the crane M3, I am not sure which lenses I`ll get yet, but it looks like I`m lucky and they`re pretty small and light :D
@@mihaiserbanescu8676 honestly, the 11f1.8, the 10-20f4, and a nice 24f1.4 should do everything you need except like bird or moon photography. If I could start again, I would do it that way. I almost never shoot longer than a 35mm equivalent.
@@-grey at the moment I have an 18-105mm glens, a 70-200mm g lens (it's for full frame so on crop it's 105-300mm) for insane portraits or some birds, the kit lens, my a6400 came with a 50mm f1.8 (not the sharpest at all). I was thinking to get the 10-18mm so it would be a great range, though, at F4, it's bad in low light. 10-20 is optically better but still F4 so that's why I'd need something like the 11mm F1.8/15mm f1.4 for low light vlog for example. Don't know if the 15mm it's wide enough though. On the crane M3 the 18-105 won't balance so it has to be light and short.
@@mihaiserbanescu8676 f4 isn't super versatile in low light, but I shoot it at 1/100 all the time and it's perfectly fine. You do need to adapt to embracing contrasting shadow as an element in the composition though. - 1 or 2 eV usually. And then written the scene for the light. It's hard to get a flat image with f4 at night.
@@-grey this is the reason why I got the 11mm F1.8 as well. If I do need to vlog in the evening or during night time, the F4 is not going to help me much, but the 11mm F1.8 will. Which is great! I could have been going for the tamron 11-20mm F2.8 but I have a feeling that it's focus leaves a lot to be desired.
I don't think the Sigma is dead yet just because the Sony 15mm is double the price.
I know this has nothing to do with the situation but I needed your advice I was going to head and videotaping the meteor showers yesterday and I ended up getting a glimpse of a UFO and it came down and being my Panasonic G5 Mark II camera and now I'm without a camera and I was wondering if I should get that new Canon r7 before they return a Panasonic because of the auto focus problems and I was maybe going ahead and wanting to go with the bigger sensor as well so what do you suggest I do
Would welcome your thoughts now in a A6700 world
It looks like Sony is about to announce new apsc camera. 100% by year end
Yep
"These are attacks"
lmao
Stabb was legit. 11mm great.
Nice comparison.
Great job brother
You should compare the Rokinon/Samyang 12mm f2.0 with that Sony 11mm
Great work as usual sir :) ... personally I think the stabilisation looks awful. Eyes keep getting drawn to the jerkiness /wobbles in the corners.
Do they come in SILVER for my WHITE ZV-E10?
Sony 15mm may be half the weight of the Sigma 16mm but it's also double the price! Plus AF was fine on the 16.
Yet the 11mm F1.8 looks gorgeous for vlogging! I would love you to keep it.
I had the 16mm and from near focus to infinity, it would just lose itself. sometimes would even forget to focus, it was bad compared to native sony lenses. that`s why I returned the product. the 15mm is what everyone wanted the 16mm sigma to be. can`t wait to get the sony`s.
@@mihaiserbanescu8676 Sorry dude, I have no any issues with my Sigma 16mm autofocus.
Sigma's killer for double price? Nice try, Sony :DD
the squirel is all black and had no contrast on it's eyes and body that's why camera was not able to find the eye to focos
I say wait for the Viltrox 13mm F1.4 to come to E-mount.
Which handheld tripod do you use?
If only all my gear was in the amazon shop in the description.
Then it must be REALLY good.
and you can NOT find it used, sigmas are easy to find used
“… oh she’s wide…. The least desirable of the three sisters”
Damn you crack me up.
I agree - I wish these companies would stop making all these apsc f/3.5+ lenses
i miss the ghost walk in slow motion :D
Ahh the Toneh
ZV-E10 has much purer urine yellows than the A7SIII....
Sony, what I really want is a RX-10 V. But I'll take a $1500 APS-C flagship.
Did you make a how-to-walk like a vlogger video yet?
There's a very high pitched sound coming from the skateboard whenever you are vlogging from it. It's borderline giving me headaches. Am I the only one hearing it?
Mate! Please do one episode were you just stare into the lens for the whole video.
I can see Sony contracting you as a consultant / advertising executive 🧐 ...we all know the buttons on the side are for people that get bored with your videos
Would love to hear you on karaoke doing a Neil Diamond track. Just saying. ;-)
I don't think it will have sync stabe. Just get a macro filter for your gopro for some slight Toneh :)
Anything smaller than medium format is DEAD.
Catalyst turns your hands into a gimble.
WOW!!!!
Nice to see a fellow Torontonian doing great video reviews. Keep the amazing videos coming!
Not sure east of Yonge street is still Toronto.
Who ever said that Sony APS-C was dead. There are ton's of lenses out there.
And no good bodies.
@@cameraconspiracies My A6600 is a enjoyable to use, when I need something smaller then my FF bodies. I had hoped for a BSI sensor.
Thanks for your video! Loved it. What would recommend for just video recording (not vlogging)? The 15mm or the 11mm?
That Pro Mist Filter looks like it might be covered in fingerprints. Doris Day looking.
It was completely fogged up for some reason.
I agree all the 3rd party lenses help my crab trap sink faster..
