- Last year, CS:GO saw the biggest cheating scandal it had ever seen.
Dozens of coaches were found to have used an exploit that broke the game, unbalanced competitive play, and led to them getting banned.
And one man uncovered it all.

Big shoutout to Steve Dudenhoeffer who spent countless of hours with me to get this all uncovered!
Thanks for what you did for The csgo esport scene! I dont think me or anyone else can thank you enough. Good job and gl in The future!
We thank u guys
Hey, it’s the guy!
Legend!
Thank you 🐐
This guy sat for hundreds of hours watching demos for free because he loved the game and cared about its integrity. The example of how everyone should be, massive respect for him.
@You have been Hacked i guess but theres at least something in any persons life that they are willing to put this effort towards like its not limited to video gaming...could be a job someone enjoys a sport anything really i get that this is a video game channel and all but its really not limited to that dedication pays off in most anything!

This dude put in so much work he's nearly bald, gotta respect his dedication
this comment made my day
He's not bald he's just taller than his hair.
One punch man level effort
You can see he has longer hair but it's pulled back under his earphones, as seen by it spiking up right behind where it's pressed down
Hes not bald its just his balls were too enormously massive that hair migrated to there to not leave any bald areas down there.
Guys let's support this guy on the crowdfunding page. That's sad that he only received 7k. If every one of us sent at least ONE dollar that would've been a huge amount.

Really thankful for upstanding folks like this guy who put the work in to keep the integrity of the game. Big ups to you!
Why isn't even mentioned that the coach of one of the top tier teams, Astralis I think, upon finding out he was also being punished, tweeted that he reported this bug back in 2018 ? Any research done on the topic ?
If you cant even remember something like that and it’s not mentioned here it probably just a rumor bro.
lmao Zonic didn't use the bug. He reported the bug but never used it
He never reported the bug. Just like Robban. Robban got the shortest ban at 5.5 months for finding the bug but not using it and staying completely silent about it forever. Zonic may have been a same case as Robban
@@truongsonbui5972 I remember reading the news on Dexerto and afterwards seeing in a video his and his team's tweets where he explained how it's unfair since he reported it 3 years ago and Valve ignored him, just to punish him now, even though he didn't abuse it (according to his own words). And Astralis took position to defend their coach. It's not a rumor, it's a real thing.
@@anirudhsubramanian5578 Yep, thanks for reminding me that it was Zonic!
However I want to put focus on the fact that this big has been reported 3 years ago, yet it wasn't addressed back then - my question is why is this being shrugged under the rug?
this man trade his hair for competitive integrity. i respect
If CSGO didn't give this man a tribute or something, that's sad.

Too big to tackle.
The funny thing is they still lost to Astralis
@@haleefhanif5508 That's what cheating does to you, it dulls your game sense and leave you helpless against teams who have sharpened theirs without cheats.

cs is already ded 80% of the pros in cs moved to valorant
It's not soon it's almost years.
I'm not a CS:GO player so I'm a little bit confused as to how this can be used. So the coaches can gain a view of the enemy team, but are the coaches allowed to talk to ingame to the rest of the team members and give them information of where the other team is? If not then how can they use this bug to their teams advantage?
I'm sorry for my ignorance but I mostly watch only competitive league where the coaches are only present during the pick/ban phase so this is very confusing to me, if anyone could enlighten me I would highly appreciate it! :)
the coaches are usually only meant to spectate from the view of the players i think. also the coaches are in voice chat with the team members so having information from the sky during a match like that is game breakingly powerful.
The coaches use the bug to see only one part of the map. The coach can then relay to their team during the game whether or not the enemy team is there. It basically narrows it down to either the opponents are at that location or they are not. If they are not at that location then the other team would know to not watch that area of the map and concentrate on areas where the opponents would be. Hope this helps.
@@Dontatmebr0 Thank you guys so much for your replies. It's crazy to me how coaches can even talk to the players during the match, I think that shouldn't even be allowed, it's essentially another player with a full POV, seems kinda wrong.
It shows where the enemies are playing and the angles they may be holding.
@@Zona3885 well coaches are supposed to educate and improve the players by interacting with them ingame. Well thats how coaches is supposed to do.
Great video as always, love these stuff
I've been playing/watching cs for almost 20 years. Cheating ruins the game every time, no matter what it is. Its also always obvious, might work for a while but eventually it will bleed through as players become dependent on the cheat/exploit/glitch. If you struggle to compete, study your opponents, work on your technique, then get back at it.
Thank you for finding this and doing what was necessary to uphold the integrity of the game at the competitive level.
So this is why Heroic suddenly blew up after being a borderline tier 2 team
Yeah they should've banned the team aswell for knowingly going along with it. But atleast the infamous cheater hunden got a ban.
They should have a money reward for catching cheaters like this similar to when a white hat hacker exposes a security flaw in a company's system.
this dude is the BAMF of CSGO, keep it up dude. Your a role model for how this should be handled.
He must have felt like Mr Incredible finding out about every super death
You know it's a good video when War Owl's in it
War owl has the perfect voice for news broadcaster. Actually he juat has an amazing voice
The main issue I have with this whole coaching bug scenario is that I still don't understand how the more edge cases were decided on, as it's been getting no coverage. Sure, everyone has talked about Hunden who admitted to exploiting the issue and got banned, but what about a case like Dead's (as far as I remember), where he was found to move his camera on a single round in a single game? Was it intentional, and did he give away information to the team that they shouldn't have, or did he get there by accident, amd kept quiet? Is it even possible to access this bug by accident anyways? I've seen many, many videos on this subject and I still haven't gotten a clear answer.
Excuse me for my lack of esport knowledge but I tought the coach mic was muted during round? So what exactly is the benifits of knowing we're the ennemy we're last round? The only thing I can think of is to spoil straits for certain spot?
I remember watching pro CS and saying “how do they always clear the right corner” this is how

you know it’s bad when there is that 1 kid who disliked lmao
defo a silver 4 hacker
Leaving out astralis from investigation but not realizing their magic win streak has vanished along with the bug
Seeing stuff like this is so bitter sweet. Love to see cheaters get punished but it is such a let down that guys like cadian were probably in on it...
This makes me think "should I still be playing competitive games?"
The heros we got, but didn't deserve
I am confused about something. Arent there voice comms for the big tournaments so that the coach can be heard giving info?
Coaches are not allowed to talk to the players during the round. Info gained with this bug could be used during timeouts and half time when the players leave the booth.
Coach could talk during online game
@@Tinskap this makes it more confusing
Absolutely massive story, well done
this is a proud moment to be part of the cgo community, the fact that voulenteres search 15 teabites of demos is inasne mad respect
I knew heroic were cheating. It was just too good to be true.
Finally some esport news.
Respect for both guys btw. Not only did they spend ages looking through the demos they actually got solid evidence before pointing fingers at people. Especially with a shit ton of people just accusing people these days I respect it.

I’ve definitely seen clips in Competitive CS:GO that I swore the shooter can see the enemies around corners and objects..Their movements and reactions were TOO Flawless💯
Players didn’t see em but know they were there. CSGO gameplay is so weird to watch. Like they have more info than what we see. WEIRD MAKES SENSE NOW lol
4:50 Wow
Maybe that’s how flusha shoots through walls and smokes
The CS:GO esports scene is rotten to the core. From matchfixing to cheating, the ones that are caught are a tiny minority compared to the hundreds of players that go unnoticed. The fact that coaches at the top are willing to cheat means they feared no repercussion at the time. The most some of them got is 6 months, when matchfixing one single match has gotten the players permanent bans. We now get investigations that are discontinued over "integrity" of the game with the streamsniping scandal (another scandal that affected top teams), citing supposed under-funding as the reason.
I really don't get how people enjoy watching CS when there's a likely chance that at least one of those T1 teams you're watching are currently cheating with a as of yet undisclosed new exploit.

First of all this "cheats " has been going for years, second is up to Valve to fiz, and not ban coaches from coaching just because the bug. OFC the coaches who cheated must be punished.
