I sure can resonate with reseting. Especially when team staggers themselfs for so long after losing 1st point we actually get 0 fights on the 2nd. Or when I reset on cart and die last but I managed to live for so long and burn so much time on cart that my allies already respawned and think that I simply rushed alone and died.
sometimes when i feel like its makes no sense for reinhardt to use his "hammer down", because of this and that. So i really try to save it for a decisive moment either for attack or defense, that can save the lose, and/or help to win the game. Also sometimes to push the enemy team, so they use their ults and get no much value out of it. Also some player dont know what "to peel" means. Yesterday an example- I saved Doomfist as Rein, against another Rein charging him, by charging him too, both reins collided, Doomfist was saved, but instead of peeling for me a bit, the doomfist just vanished and i died. lol I try to peel as much as i can, when i see player needs support...make sure that player still survives, if possible. Doesnt matter if its a Roadhog or a Ana or so.
Coach Mills, could you please make a video guide for plat rank as main tank such as Reinhardt, where in two thirds of the games played your teammates: * Have poor positioning and get picked * Don't regroup and get staggered * Bad ultimate usage * General lack of understanding of the above concepts in this video * Toxicity This makes it constantly impossible to protect your whole team and kill the whole enemy team as a main tank. Trying to focus on your own gameplay to the best of your ability is good advice in general but at the end of the day this is a team game not 1 player FPS, and when you experience the above notes in more than half your games played it seems pretty much unwinnable.
That one about dieing on point really hit hard with me >.< I’m on a gold team and we suck on defense on payload maps I always tell them that if they are gunna die just do it on point.. it’s sooooo cringe watching them back up slow and never contesting till 3rd point cap smh I’ll be sharing this video with my team tyty
You are speaking out of my heart. So many timea have I tiltes because our team didnt manage to get 1 proper engage because there was always smb missing
These trips are amazing but honestly in the lower ranks no matter how much you say let’s group up to reset or spam group up, people will either just ignore you or just stagger in one by one and i will never understand why it happens
This is more a tip then an concept but if someone kills you you can see their ult % in the kill cam allowing you to know if they have or are close to ult so you can play around it next push
These concepts arent something you can abuse to get to gm it will help but these concepts alone will not help. Its a good start to idk maybe climb 50-60 sr but its not gonna be a gamechanger for a lot of players. Pros don't ABUSE these they just do it. Its a core part of the game.
Kabaji demonstrated good dry pushing example in his stream today. So it was on Volskaya and he couldn't do anything cuz Baptiste's stupid lamp. So what he did was because he knew Tracer ult is basically useless compared to Baptiste lamp, he predicted that Baptiste would lamp when he stickied him, and he was correct. Because the Bap placed lamp, the team was able to destroy it and win the match with a Sigma Ult.
Cybertronlaser effective dry pusing is when you are at an ult disadvantage, going in hard as 6 without using any ults with intent of losing the fight, but forcing the enemies to use some of theirs in order to balance the ult economy in your favor. You just described a cleverly played normal ult fight, since they at least (likely more, just less impactful) used 2 ults.
Hey so I’ve been enjoying the content a lot. It’s well articulated and solid advice. With that said I can see you’re somewhat going after the formula that KarQ has laid out in the form of advanced educational Overwatch videos. But the glaring difference is that the video you show doesn’t match up with what you’re saying at all and I find it highly distracting. Instead of showing random clips. Show clips that are at least slightly relevant to the topic at hand. It will be a huge QOL boost to your content and be less frustrating as a viewer.
I think that was the hardest part about high plat. People dont know to die payload and they stagger. On 2 cp a lot as well. I call it the Plat Stagger.
Squeezing is hard... I try to keep immortality field as much as possible but often I’m a bit late and the travel time of the lamp is already too much and some mates end killed... it’s a tough timing to get.
Another thing I found really important: stop spamming when u have ult (unless it ensures a kill), otherwise u are just giving their healers free ult charge.
I’ve give up at comp. it seems so pointless. I’m at 2350 and I’m a dps/healer. Every game, gold damage, Elims obj time, all golds basically. But my team still can’t play obj or anything so I just keep losing. It feels so pointless and like nothing I do changes everything. The highest I got was plat, and then fell because no one wants to actually play smart. They all seem to think just shoot. They have no clue how to actually play. Once in a blue moon I get one or two other players who ACTUALLY play. I only ever win by luck that the other team was just bad. Never because my team did stuff other than shoot
You talked about calling on stacking and the act of stacking, but you did not specify what stacking means. 8:58 "All it [stack call] is is saying stacking and your whole team stacks to that objective". Literally stacking as in one atop another...? Or do you mean FOCUS on that objective? For someone who has never heard the word stacking used this way, using the word stacking in the definition of stack call doesn't help. Thanks.
@@Jenjak just say those, same or 1 more syllable and everyone understands it. No need to use a different word, just say focus. Why stack? None but higher ranked players and you understand it, so the word is pointless.
with 5 headshots with a pretty slow projectile. If a Mercy doesn't want to be staggered, she should use it. Same with Baby. They won't stagger you too much if all of a sudden you put their Ana into critical.
You have your tanks along with your dps in their face to stagger and your support healing them? Free ult charge for your supports , ez stagger when u have a mei/ana. They can't fight back 1v6
GameLeap only take clips and videos from overwatch wc or league and non of them are high gm players all just talking about the most brain dead shit that every knows as a master dps/ support my recommendation to getting better and ranking up it’s not just watching useless videos (this) and learn the basics, manage abilities cooldown, coms and stop dying, trading with another player is sometime a goood thing but only on offence due to defenders has longer way on 2cp maps (first point). On control is a different story sometimes if your dps you trade with one of there teammate that’s not enough so all you need it stay and play with you team, have trust in you teammates. Of course that some games when you are doing everything it’s just ur team that’s shit it’s understandable, I made a smurf in 2700 plats game can’t even carry, sometimes you just need to accept that game it’s just unwinable and move on and avoid the shit out of ur team. Usually I don’t have avoids for more than 2 days (active player) coz everyday there are ppl just so bad that it’s legit brain dead on my team and always avoid 1 tricks even you win the game with them because 1 tricks can be counter easier in higher sr games.
He es explaining when and against who to use this tactics, but never explain what actually the concept is, had to google stagger for example, and dry pushing.
Hey, I have watched almost every tips video to rank up there is out there. I am hard stuck gold. My mechanics are great, my callouts are fine (not to much not to little) and my positioning I would like to think is close to perfect. I carry almost every game winning team fights by securing 2 or more kills (or 1 important kill.) My problem that I find in every game is. My team usually has a good first attack/defense but then when we switch sides, it seems like there is nothing anyone can do to even do anything. There are other games when the game is super super close but the enemy team somehow always wins (I can't remember one time my team has won in overtime.) If you have read this someone help me for the love of god. My teams are always incompetent but I try to ignore that and be positive. I do my part, I die under 10 times guaranteed every game but can't win. HELP ME!

I'm sorry but all of these sound like purely playing with common sense from playing the game for 4 years...my problem is nobody in Silver/Gold knows many of these...
A lot of these 'pro' tips aren't very pro-like. I've only been playing off and on for less than a year now and I do more than half of this. It's like this video thinks you are either a total noob or a total pro with no in-between. Or that these people have never played a single game ever. A lot of these concepts you will learn just by yourself playing. This natural cover is a great example, you really think non-pro players aren't going to use cover besides the shields from tanks as though they have infinite life? Please, you are really insulting a lot of people's intelligence here.

It's amazing how simple the vocabulary "Die on Cart" is, while also being so incredibly hard to understand by so many people. .
Overwatch really is like chess. Most people can get into it, but mastering it is hard.
